tyneside fox Posted 30 April 2014 Posted 30 April 2014 Hope its false BUT.... http://www.101greatgoals.com/blog/arsenal-have-made-an-offer-to-leicesters-out-of-contract-keeper-kasper-schmeichel-bt/?
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 30 April 2014 Posted 30 April 2014 As a backup keeper it's plausible but hopefully this is either false and/or he stays to get guaranteed PL starts with us
Beliall Posted 30 April 2014 Posted 30 April 2014 just pay him what he wants and tie him for another 3-5 years
teblin Posted 30 April 2014 Posted 30 April 2014 Clubs in which Arsenal and Milan have bid on Kasper Schmeichel. Kasper Schmeichel has changed club many times during his career. But never before has he been with so many great deals on hand. Several of Europe's top clubs sees an opportunity to sign a contract with the national team keeper who has contract expired with Leicester in a month. According to BT's information, Kasper Schmeichel camp received specific offers and requests from many clubs, including several who will play the Champions League next season. Milan, Arsenal, Olympiakos and Southampton is at the forefront of the effort to download a free Schmeichel. There are regular bidding war to win Kasper Schmeichel's signature, and it is not anybody in charge of his care. Kasper Schmeichel's agent Kenneth Shepherd, son of former Newcastle owner Freddy Shepherd. Schmeichel's agent is part of Triple S Sports and Entertainment, which among other Manchester United star Wayne Rooney in the barn. Kenneth Shepherd would not comment on BT's information on offers from top clubs. - My principle is that I can not comment on that kind of thing, says Kenneth Shepherd to BT. Agent Company wide network has also ensured contact with some of the top clubs who are impressed by Kasper Schmeichel's performance in Leicester. He was on Sunday elected the keeper in the second-best English series for the second season in a row, and Leicester were unstoppable Championship, so they are now ready for the Premier League next season. Leicester manager Nigel Pearson admits that it's an uphill battle to extend Kasper Schmeichel. - When you prove that you are as capable and stable keeper through two difficult seasons in the Championship, so you will be in demand. But Kasper knows what he gets from us, and the important role he has in the Premier League. We can only hope makes the difference, says Pearson told the BBC. Arsenal's Arsene Wenger is looking for a solid goalie that can threaten first keeper Wojciech SzczÄ™sny. This summer slips both Åukasz FabiaÅ„ski and Emiliano Viviano. Milan has long lurked on Kasper Schmeichel and put back in January with a specific proposal on the keeper, but it was flatly rejected by Leicester. Indeed Leicester, who slowly in the lead, even though it's big clubs that entices Schmeichel. Parties in a positive dialogue and Kasper Schmeichel would like to be. But reports yesterday also that he is tempted by Champions League football. http://www.bt.dk/fodbold/storklubber-i-budkrig-om-eftertragtet-schmeichel
StanSP Posted 30 April 2014 Posted 30 April 2014 That's been translated really badly . Anyway, it's gonna be like this all summer and so I'm not really shocked that this story has come about. Contracts sorted? Kasper doesn't strike me as a bench-warmer and Szczesny is a much better keeper than him at the moment.
Cincinnati Fox Posted 30 April 2014 Posted 30 April 2014 Gutted if he left but replacements out there I like jason Steele at middlesbourgh.
Ric Flair Posted 30 April 2014 Posted 30 April 2014 The very real problem we have is that if we're sticking to a tight wage structure then Schmeichel could well have his head turned. He wants first team PL football which he'll obviously get with us but he might be able to get that elsewhere and still be given £40-50,000 a week given he's on a free transfer. I hope we can tie him down asap.
MikeyT Posted 30 April 2014 Posted 30 April 2014 Hope he stays. My fave player and hopefully he'll sign a new contract with us.
GingerrrFox Posted 30 April 2014 Posted 30 April 2014 So it begins. Since we've won the league Nigel has been throwing in undirected statements about "Wanting to be here for more than just money, buying into the clubs direction/goals and if players want to get us involved in bidding wars then I will take us out of the race for their signature." A little birdie tells me that it's not just new signings he's aiming that to.
Hungry Hungry Fox Posted 30 April 2014 Posted 30 April 2014 Would he be first choice at arsenal? Unlikely Would he be prepared to be a back up keeper? Highly unlikely
RoxumJD Posted 30 April 2014 Posted 30 April 2014 If he accepts a new contract with us he'l be the signing of the season for me! Fingers well and truly crossed.
foxoffderby Posted 30 April 2014 Posted 30 April 2014 Hope he stays. My fave player and hopefully he'll sign a new contract with us. Me too. I've never had a keeper as a current fave but Kasper is something special. Please stay
Haydos Posted 30 April 2014 Posted 30 April 2014 Would he be first choice at arsenal? Unlikely Would he be prepared to be a back up keeper? Highly unlikely Would he take £40,000+ a week? Likely Would he be prepared to work hard to challenge a good, but not world class keeper at a top 4 club? Likely Would he believe he could become number 1 there within a couple of years? Likely
Guest MattP Posted 30 April 2014 Posted 30 April 2014 Would Kasper move for money? Probably, let's be honest he has done it before. I'd like him to stay but if he does go I'm not going to cry about it, would trust the management to bring in a equally as good and if not better replacement.
shailen Posted 30 April 2014 Posted 30 April 2014 I really hope this isn't true becuase I can see him moving there for sure, and I reckon there isn't much between him and their current number 1. He could easily be starting for Arsenal next season, so lets hope it's a manovure by his agent, for us to get him to sign a new contract

Likely Would he believe he could become number 1 there within a couple of years? Likely I just can't imagine him sitting on the bench for 2 seasons
Loggy88 Posted 30 April 2014 Posted 30 April 2014 Need to offer him a new contract ASAP, I can't see him going to a big club and being 2nd choice, be shit for his career.
THEBIGJOHNSTEADER; Posted 30 April 2014 Posted 30 April 2014 Would Kasper move to a top 4 club? Probably Is this article bollucks? Probably If you wash your arsehole and then run your finger around the rim does it still kiff of poo? Definately

THEBIGJOHNSTEADER; Posted 30 April 2014 Posted 30 April 2014 Still funny as ever I see..... You've always been a big supporter of my work Shhteven. Thank you
Mjeb Posted 30 April 2014 Posted 30 April 2014 This was always going to happen ,this is not a surprise - he will be off ,we need to look for 2 new keepers now I am sure Nigel is on this and would already have known if kaiser was staying or reviewing his options I am sure this is why Kaspar has not chased anew new contract at leicester . There is no loyalty these days / for some time in football. - You cannot blame him this contract will secure him and his families future . Let's hope Nigel can change his mind ? ( he has been. Great for us , except some crosses , but that is something the whole team has to work on for next season ) UP the city lets enjoy the summer as champions
