fleckneymike Posted 3 May 2014 Posted 3 May 2014 Spot on, and happens to be the stand that has the richer people in, and the majority of the 3 stands could hardly see a thing. I think you'll find I'm obscenely wealthy and I sit in the stand opposite.
reynard Posted 3 May 2014 Posted 3 May 2014 See my previous post, going on the pitch is a personal choice, who spoiled who's fun. If you wanted in the pitch and those fans booing and the club stopping you, would spoil your fun, if you wanted a players walk around with all their families it was spoiled by the pitch invaders. No matter what is said, if they hadn't invaded the pitch, many thousands of fans wouldn't have had the pleasure and enjoyment of celebrating with the many players who stayed out and loved it. I will admit the first invasion was poor timing, and the second would have scared the kids, but come on they knew it would happen after the first invasion, and for me in their shoes I would have taken my kids out, knowing there was a high risk of an invasion The point is though that there could have been both. For the sake of waiting just a few minutes there could have been a good natured pitch invasion and those players who wished to stay out or come back out could have done so and those spectators who would have liked to see the trophy paraded around the pitch could have seen that as well. Sadly that didn't happen and for a large number of people the end of the season was spoilt. Also the players didn't especially enjoy it as alluded to by Nigel's post match interview.

Just needed some common sense from everyone and not the usual us vs them bullshit.
FoxInTheBirstallBox Posted 3 May 2014 Posted 3 May 2014 'Wankers! Wankers! Wankers!' Funny how you're on about wankers and all i see on your post is tits... i will be a willy puller now!
Harry - LCFC Posted 3 May 2014 Posted 3 May 2014 I think the whole thing has given me even more reason to think the club should work with the pitch invaders rather than against them.Announcements telling fans they'd be let on after the lap would've kept order and made for a pitch invasion that worked better for everyone.
FoxInTheBirstallBox Posted 3 May 2014 Posted 3 May 2014 I think you'll find I'm obscenely wealthy and I sit in the stand opposite. Im not rich but I sit in the west stand. I spend money i do have on football and pay for good seats and thankfully got to see the whole presentation
fleckneymike Posted 3 May 2014 Posted 3 May 2014 Im not rich but I sit in the west stand. I spend money i do have on football and pay for good seats and thankfully got to see the whole presentation I'll pass your details on to the club and have you removed from the 'wealthier' stand then. Can't have some oik poncing about with the toffs.

RonnieTodger Posted 3 May 2014 Posted 3 May 2014 It's about timing and we got it wrong. It should have been done during Sam Bailey's performance.
Hungry Hungry Fox Posted 3 May 2014 Posted 3 May 2014 It's seems to be the fashion these days "Other team's supporters do it so why shouldn't we" I think all pitch invasions are utter shite tbh, the one at reading proved that. Cringe worthy to the max!
Jace Posted 3 May 2014 Posted 3 May 2014 Replying to you and betts, I have stated it was badly timed, but my original comments were that the invasion wasn't a bad thing, maybe poorly timed, but today wasn't just about the players celebrating but the fans aswell, in whichever way they wanted, in the stands or on the pitch, it was a day for fans and players. It wasn't for the players though was it if they are complaining that their kids were put in an unsafe and intimidating situation by the supporters
pleatout Posted 3 May 2014 Posted 3 May 2014 Maybe someone will explain it to me. They spend millions building a ground so that everyone can see the pitch. WhyTF would you want to move to the perimeter track and stand behind people that are probably taller than you, blocking your view? Why does your need to run on the grass and be a total tw*t amount to celebrating? Why does anyone that actually points out that your are a total tw*t have to be dismissed as as plastic fan or killjoy. Here's an idea, wait until monday, watch the open top bus tour and then invade viccy park. TBH I'd have loved to have seen the trophy close up. I grew up with that trophy being the be all and end all of league football. I was looking forward to it being carried past the stand, and everyone being able to see it. Never mind, it's only a pot and I appreciate the brain dead's need to run about on grass is far more important. I look forward to there being a pitch invasion on a regular basis next season when we celebrate every point. I can only conclude that some people look on the opportunity to run on the pitch at the KP as being the highlight of their sad and pathetic lives. I do think perhaps you need to have a strong word with yourself. Or perhaps they are under the impression that maybe, just maybe NP will spot the way the sprinted across the pitch and think to himself "there's a fat 30 something that runs like he could do a job for us, I must ask him to come down to the training ground". Players, your job is on the pitch. Fans, your job is in the stands. The only exception to this is for the likes of Jermaine Beckford
Monsell1976 Posted 3 May 2014 Posted 3 May 2014 Never said don't go on did I? If you just had sodding waited everyone would of enjoyed it. The players wouldn't of had to run off out of fear for safety of their families and then wouldn't be calling the fans about it would they? If you had just waited everyone would of been happy. What's this if you had just waited, I didn't invade the pitch once, chemotherapy made sure I didn't get on, but I will defend those that did, as they are being made out to be thugs by some, and I would say the vast majority it was good natured and enjoyment, ok not everybody wanted to do it, but it doesn't make them thugs or bad people, just people with just a differing idea of fun than others.
gcah2013 Posted 3 May 2014 Posted 3 May 2014 It's about timing and we got it wrong. It should have been done during Sam Bailey's performance. I wouldn't call it a performance - she butchered the verses of a classic.
Hungry Hungry Fox Posted 3 May 2014 Posted 3 May 2014 Not being funny but too many of our players are self centred and don't give a shit about the fans. They want the adulation but have a superiority complex and believe they are above everybody else. Football is nothing without fans just as it isn't without the clubs/staff/players and some of them need to remember that. Kasper Schmeichel didn't cover himself in much glory today and painted himself in a very bad light. What a stupid thing to say, kasper was worried about his familyI have seen nothing but respect towards the fans from our players
L1HT Posted 3 May 2014 Posted 3 May 2014 I was one of the first in the first invasion. Stuff the lot of you! We won the league. Leicester are in the VAST VAST minority of football fans that would complain about the traditional invasion. See Stoke, Derby, Hull, Burnley, Cardiff, Swansea, Southampton, West Brom, Brighton, QPR, Wigan, Huddersfield, Man City, test cricket victories before last 5 years, rugby matches any time Get a life!
Monsell1976 Posted 3 May 2014 Posted 3 May 2014 I think you'll find I'm obscenely wealthy and I sit in the stand opposite.Good for you, pat yourself on the back

Man City aside that reads like a who's who of shit clubs.
fleckneymike Posted 3 May 2014 Posted 3 May 2014 Good for you, pat yourself on the back No need, I have people to do that for me.

It's not personal choice at all. The players have won the trophy, not the fans so they should celebrate with their family how they like. It's the proudest and best moment in most of these boys lives, and they want to spend and share that with their loved ones.
MattGamble92 Posted 3 May 2014 Posted 3 May 2014 On a side note When/if we win another League or cup can we please just let the players gather together and lift the trophy?I felt like a complete twat clapping Sean St Ledger and Baka ****ing yogo
Jace Posted 3 May 2014 Posted 3 May 2014 Hopefully Kasper will decide to join someone else next season because of this then maybe the thick fans might actually begin to realise players are real people too not selfie machines and learn to show them a bit of respect
Bert Posted 3 May 2014 Posted 3 May 2014 Just wish everyone could've waited until the lap of honour had finished. Selfish from many people as we all had a free reign to go on the pitch once the players had gone in! I can't believe some fans were running at the players when they had their kids with them.
