BlueSi13 Posted 3 May 2014 Posted 3 May 2014 Yes I would like to see the players walk past with the trophy and show appreciation for the fantastic season we've had like half the ground got the opportunity to do before the invasion happened. You've admitted you f**ked off before it all happened anyway so just because you in your closeted, self-important little world don't enjoy that doesn't mean others don't. Would have been nice to have applauded the owners too but sadly they didn't even come close to making it to where we were sat!
kyleolly Posted 3 May 2014 Posted 3 May 2014 Stood at the side of the pitch with my son Lloyd Dyer was upset and turned round to someone "you're a tucking **** can't you see I have my kids with me"
Fez of Mahrez Posted 3 May 2014 Posted 3 May 2014 Strolled on at the end. Absolutely loved being on there. Best piece of grass I've ever walked on.
reynard Posted 3 May 2014 Posted 3 May 2014 Glad the club let it happen at the right time. Clear that plenty of people wanted to get on and I'm pleased they got their chance to do so. Those lines are both utter nonsense. As if you can be a **** for 'walking on grass' as the anti-fun brigade like to say. As if a players going to leave a club because of it. Sorry but why couldn't people just wait. The selfish attitude of some spoilt it for the majority and for the players and their families. Without the players doing so well there wouldn't have been anything to run onto the pitch for would there? There's nothing to do with "anti-fun brigades" just a sense of decency and respect for other spectators and the players and staff..Certainly come onto the pitch after the lap of honour and the players have left and celebrate with the other fans and any players who want to join in can. I even saw one supporter try to get a player's shirt off his back and what it makes it sad is it wasn't just young men pissed out of their heads and high on adrenelin but older men and women with young kids.
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 3 May 2014 Posted 3 May 2014 We went on once it died down a bit, walked from the Kop, and left through the family stand. Didn't really see what all the fuss was about.
Narborough_fox Posted 3 May 2014 Posted 3 May 2014 Strolled on at the end. Absolutely loved being on there. Best piece of grass I've ever walked on. Was thinking this whilst I was on there myself. For a pitch to be in that good a state after around 30 games and a massively tough winter is a huge testament to the ground staff, and the owners, for the work and money they've put into the pitch. NB: Don't think Schmeichel Snr. was best pleased by reading his tweets.
EnglishOxide Posted 3 May 2014 Posted 3 May 2014 To be fair, you can't tarnish everyone who invaded the pitch with the same brush. Yes, those who hassled the stewards at full time and during the presentation were arses - and so were those who went on whilst the players with young kids were still on the pitch. But those who went on after that were just savouring the moment. 1,000s went on. Not everyone of them deserves the strong criticism that is/will be chucked about on here. That's fair. As a steward, the club played it wrong today. Seemed to be less police than the Brighton game. Which is odd consdering the presentation was this game and the threat would have been greater. Should have allowed a mass invasion at full time to let people get it out of their system. Then cleared the pitch and had the presentation/lap of honour, etc. There were no announcements after the second invasion either, so people just ended up standing on the pitch waiting for the players when it was obvious they werent coming back out. Those who were so desperate to get on the pitch at inconvenient times were unbelievably childish. Should have just accepted that the fixture list robbed us of the 'moment' and moved on. Instead there were middle aged fat blokes trying to fight stewards to get onto the pitch. Unbelievable. Some people got injured because of such idiocy from a variety of factions. The only ones not at fault today were St Johns and those who stayed in the stands.
john ridley Posted 3 May 2014 Posted 3 May 2014 Should have been a great celebration, top and his dad only got as far as about sk2 , think the wankers chant was apt .

Too many liberals on here and I'm sick of em. Had a great day and a great time on the pitch;)
Guest Chocolate Teapot Posted 3 May 2014 Posted 3 May 2014 The whole thing was an anti climax, we have some fans who are complete retards...'I wanted to congratulate the players in person' - do it in twitter. The invasion completely ruined it.
Narborough_fox Posted 3 May 2014 Posted 3 May 2014 Gary Taylor-Fletcher â€@GTF_12 42s Great celebrations that was ruined. Our kids were terrified. Especially the bambino's. Too many people at risk in the end to enjoy it!
Danno Posted 3 May 2014 Posted 3 May 2014 Bunch of ****** running on the pitch when it was the players' moment to celebrate.

broughtonblue Posted 3 May 2014 Posted 3 May 2014 Only at the end when the stewards let us, had to join in the 'w@nkers' chant to all the d1ckheads who went on twice, FFS what did you gain from frightening women and little kids? If I had been a player with my little uns on there I would have decked all I could get my hands on! Cloughie had the right idea!

Narborough_fox Posted 3 May 2014 Posted 3 May 2014 Did it smell good? Tell me it smelled good. I'm sure you'll be glad to hear, it did smell very good. Not as good as freshly mown grass but not far behind.
sdb Posted 3 May 2014 Posted 3 May 2014 I know some of the players..........they LOVED it Kasper and GTF?
shade Posted 3 May 2014 Posted 3 May 2014 some people get a free beer down them and they can't help themselves, running on grass is so exciting for them.
Danno Posted 3 May 2014 Posted 3 May 2014 Hope those who ran on during the lap of honour get a lengthy ban.
FoxInTheBirstallBox Posted 3 May 2014 Posted 3 May 2014 Disgusted at the fact they couldn't wait for the players to take their kids and sexy wives offBut yes i did go on for a short while about 15 mins after the stewards let everyone on and the players were awayFelt sorry for schmichael too, having to run off to the tunnel with his kids and the trophy
broughtonblue Posted 3 May 2014 Posted 3 May 2014 TBH it was all a bit shit. They presented the trophy in front of the West Stand, I only saw it on the screen. I couldn't even really see the players celebrating. I really didn't feel like a pitch invasion myself, seeing Doncaster go down was sobering enough but I couldn't really enjoy myself at all with some poor bloke needing CPR in the away end. I didn't really blame people for being on the pitch. It's their party too and frankly I wasn't even entertained enough by the post match shenanigans to stick around. After 'We are the Champions' I just left. I don't agree with our fans calling them names and booing them though. They've paid good money, tried to have a bit of fun and didn't ruin anything worth seeing. It was just a short delay before the presentation inevitably happened. We've clapped the players at the end of every match so I'm not quite sure why people were so desperate for that. I was disappointed that I was missing the second one when I listening to Radio Leicester on the way back though, it sounded pretty epic. So how do you want them to present it, on a fair ground ride that spins round? And the 'fans' that went on the pitch were absolute 'w&nkers' See GTF tweet
