kingpower84 Posted 3 May 2014 Posted 3 May 2014 No comment dont want a banning order and 180quid fine but the fans could have waited till the players and kids wives got off the pitch there kids must have been really shit up
Hirsty The Blue 94 Posted 3 May 2014 Posted 3 May 2014 Why do fans have the right to celebrate how they like? You didn't win the fvcking league the players did. They should be able to celebrate with their families on the pitch and enjoy the day. Instead they had to run off in fear of their little families safety from drunken pricks. Well done lads.

I'm confused as to why "they should be able to celebrate with their families on the pitch". Where has this tradition come from? I get that it's a nice thing to do, but it just seems weird.
Monsell1976 Posted 3 May 2014 Posted 3 May 2014 Any of the first two invasion squads dickheads care to comment?Wasn't part of your invasion squad as you put it, but two or three players didn't like it, but looking at the majority of players that friends of mine witness loved it, bit like supporters really, some like it, some don't, but all this talk about it being the players chance to celebrate is rubbish, today was the fans day.The celebrations have been diluted at the kp since promotion, the players have had award nights, nights out fighting bouncers, massive bonuses, and massive wages, people kissing their arses on social media, so why is not the time for us fans to celebrate, there was no need for the families to come on for a round of applause, it was a day for the fans and players to celebrate and enjoy together.

Why shouldn't the families be involved they are just as involved with the players as the supporters are. Its the supporters who are in the wrong not the players families if the supporters did what they were supposed to do there wouldn't be a problem

And what about the vaste majority of fans who didn't want to go on the pitch or perhaps couldn't get on the pitch? I suppose they have no right to want to applaud the players around the pitch or to see the trophy paraded round. The invasion could have waited. But no those intent on doing what they want irrespective of the wishes of others/the club or the players have to marr the enjoyment of others for the sake of a few minutes. But then to them I suppose they are the only real fans so stuff everyone else!
leftbackinthechangingroom Posted 3 May 2014 Posted 3 May 2014 Well once again the minority ruin it for the majority. People just couldn't wait until the end of the lap of honour to run on so bravo well done. Don't be surprised if there isn't another lap of honour due to the players being scared of doing one. Feel sorry for their little ones they must have been frightened to death. But sadly the knuckle draggers had their way and couldn't wait. So hope your proud of yourselves. Btw not calling everyone that went on the pitch just the ones that couldn't bloody wait

Whether the families should be on there not, the fact is they WERE on there and some of them had the shit scared out of them by a huge group of young lads charging towards them. All it needed today was some common sense. As soon as the pitch was clear of the families we could have all gone on. Consider whats happening in front of you and then adapt your intent. I hate taking a pop at our own but I was in L1 today and those at the front jossling with the stewards, some of them were the absolute worst of young, modern fans. 'Come on lets fvcking rush em', 'Come down here and we'll batter the cvnts' are just a couple of the things I heard. Meanwhile a fan is dying in the away end. Stone Island brigade, please try and think a bit more of what you're doing.

GingerrrFox Posted 3 May 2014 Posted 3 May 2014 Personally don't see why players wives, girlfriends and kids come on the pitch anyway. What are they there for? Some of the players/staff family were acting like they were royalty and The mentality of "How dare they come on the pitch whilst we were there" is ridiculous in my view. I wasn't anywhere near the pitch invasions till everyone was allowed on but it was to be expected that people were going to get on to try and celebrate with the players. It's pretty obvious the players don't care about the fans. The celebrations were poorly organised as it all happened in front of the smallest stand and people could barely see anything.
KFS Posted 3 May 2014 Posted 3 May 2014 Strolled on at the end. Absolutely loved being on there. Best piece of grass I've ever walked on.Same for me.I waited til the very end and asked a steward if it was ok.
C-man Posted 3 May 2014 Posted 3 May 2014 I walked across the pitch at the end on my way out as it was the quickest route home, wish they let us do it every week. Shame that the first few on (second invasion) didn't wait for the players to finish their lap first, get the kids out of the way. The whole day just went a bit flat for me once the ground started to resemble a battlefield. Firstly the lad in SK1 whose head played ping pong with the staircase got carried out, Birmingham equalised, something happened in the away end that looked awful, an old steward got barreled over, I saw someone else stretchered out and at least two kids crying in pain as they were walking off the pitch. Hope all concerned are OK. Must say I didn't like the cry of 'Wankers, wankers, wankers' towards our own fans. Bit of over exuberance but fairly harmless really. Not as if they were going to stop the presentation, was it?

It's pretty obvious the players don't care about the fans. The celebrations were poorly organised as it all happened in front of the smallest stand and people could barely see anything. Why shouldn't they be there? I personally like seeing the players' families, makes me feel like I know a little more about them, and the players want them there so that's enough for me. They didn't have that mentality at all, they had the mentality of 'I don't want thousands of fans running at me and surrounding me when I've got my kids' which is perfectly fair. The celebrations at Bolton wouldn't have taken place if the players didn't care about the fans.
Stadt Posted 3 May 2014 Posted 3 May 2014 The day wasn't ruined by some fans running onto the pitch, obviously it wasn't sensible but all we've missed out on was the players walking around the pitch - the players have had a lot of celebrations (Moore's house, pre-Brighton training and Bolton away) so I'm sure they aren't overly bothered. If you've let this ruin your day then maybe football isn't for you.
LCCFox96 Posted 3 May 2014 Posted 3 May 2014 Are you serious? People booed because 'fans' went on the pitch before the presentation and then again whilst the fans were parading with their wives and children. Going on the pitch is fine, I went on once all the players had left, but for christs sake wait until the players have finished their celebrations! There are a lot of morons that attend Leicester matches and today bought them all out unfortunately. This pretty much sums it up. The lap of honour - a traditional end of season feature - was ruined by the behaviour of some fans in the ground. The players/management team and the the fans who avoided the pitch were enjoying the scenes before the pitch invasion took the edge off it.

Stone Island brigade, please try and think a bit more of what you're doing. See my previous post, going on the pitch is a personal choice, who spoiled who's fun.If you wanted in the pitch and those fans booing and the club stopping you, would spoil your fun, if you wanted a players walk around with all their families it was spoiled by the pitch invaders. No matter what is said, if they hadn't invaded the pitch, many thousands of fans wouldn't have had the pleasure and enjoyment of celebrating with the many players who stayed out and loved it. I will admit the first invasion was poor timing, and the second would have scared the kids, but come on they knew it would happen after the first invasion, and for me in their shoes I would have taken my kids out, knowing there was a high risk of an invasion
LCCFox96 Posted 3 May 2014 Posted 3 May 2014 The day wasn't ruined by some fans running onto the pitch No the day was a good spectacle but the player-fans celebrations were cut short and the lap of honour was wrecked.

Spot on, and happens to be the stand that has the richer people in, and the majority of the 3 stands could hardly see a thing.

If you just had sodding waited everyone would of enjoyed it. The players wouldn't of had to run off out of fear for safety of their families and then wouldn't be calling the fans about it would they? If you had just waited everyone would of been happy.
