suffolk fox Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 The phone bill will be as much as the season ticket! Good point especially as it is an 0844 number. That's why the club do it and it is they that gets the profits.
foxpleasure Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 How many season ticket holders did we have this season?
Tommy G Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 How many season ticket holders did we have this season? 16k?
harpendenfox Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 Blimey. Decided to drive to the ground to queue. Got to Northampton and heard the news. Guess I best go home and decide what to do tomorrow morning!
suffolk fox Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 So.....despite old Rockys comments what are your thoughts - just interested? I have my tickets so im not going to miss out but others will who are genuine LCFC fans. If there were over 1000 queuing this morning just on the quanities that were being purchased in and around me I dont think its going to take too long for these to all go!! Look at it logically some people like to watch premiership football live. Not on sky but live. They enjoy a pint in the pub pre match banter and chat with mates just like any fan. They, know if they live locally they can get all this at Leicester next season for £450. That is bloody cheap. Arsenals match ticket, travel to stadium London's beer prices all add up depending on how many games you get too etc? I also know my brother in law who supports Man ure is also getting one because of Premiership football. Last time he. Had a season ticket at Leicester? Yes, you guessed it ten years ago.
ScouseFox Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 I struggle to believe that anyone who supports united/chelsea/liverpool etc would be stupid enough to pay £400+ to watch their team once against Leicester City.
Rocky Dennis Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 Yes, this is also true and a fact. I got ridiculed by some on here for suggesting that some of my work colleagues who support, Man Utd, Newcastle and Arsenal are going to get one in order they can watch prem football and their own teams albeit once. Big clubs like these have a waiting list for their season tickets Arsenal I know is at least two years hence why they will buy one at Lcfc. Cuts down cost and travel Can you define "support" in regards to Man Utd, Newcastle and Arsenal? Clearly they aren't really 'supporters' of those clubs if they're prepared to buy season tickets for another club, No? - also, where do you work to have such a wide-ranging football club supporter network? Also, this idea that someone would spend £400+ to watch 'their' club only once is frankly ludicrous, a Sky subscription or a Groupon VIP trip to Man Utd or Liverpool costs less than this. Perhaps they're having you on or you're exaggerating?

Oii, less of the "old" I am under 40, have my own teeth and hair with very few greys!!
Guest Papasmurf Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 I just clicked cross on the wrong tab. FML. #967 Haha, I did that this morning too before giving the website up as a bad job.
crazylegs1984 Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 they say 3rd time is a charm well im on my 4th go at doing this got all the way to paying then so getting nearer #1241 again
Maybes Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 Farcical really, but was always going to happen. I'm trying to get one for my mate in NZ who unfortunately missed last season! Of all seasons to miss! Online is a joke.
22BLUE Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 I can't believe this qx=number is my position in a queue, I keep going forwards then jumping back again!
Carter90 Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 i went from 1300 in the queue to 40 and now the whole site seems to have gone down. Edit - Back up and kept my place
hackneyfox Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 Can't believe that current ST holders weren't given the chance of relocating first. Things may not have been so manic if they'd given current holders 2 weeks to relocate and renew.
bart Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 Should have been some priority for people who went to a certain amount of matches last season as well.
Freeman's Wharfer Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 Having paid more than the cost of a season ticket almost on a game by game basis I thought I would get a season ticket to save the hassle for trying for game by game next season. Got to the ground about 6.40 to find people had camped overnight - 4 and a half hours later I had my seats (and a photo with the Championship Trophy). People in the queue after I left are going to be there until closing - it is mental. Oh - and the mathmatician who worked out the 14.5 season tickets per minute needs to be thinking outside the box - there were people in there buying 6's and 8's at a time and when i spoke to the guy on the desk he reckons so far only a couple had been renewals so this was all new customers - glad to say that most had been to the majority of games except for 2 blokes who last had a season ticket....yes you guessed it..................TEN YEARS AGO!!! So say that transaction to buy 8 season tickets only took 1 minute to process (highly unlikely), you would still have to sell another 6.5 more season tickets in that minute at other desks for the 7,000 to sell out.... If you want me to think outside the box I can try pie in the sky like yourself, but it won't change the fact that 7,000 season tickets selling out in one day is highly unlikely.
4ever and ever Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 I have been queue position 7 on the phone for 30 minutes!!!

Perhaps they're having you on or you're exaggerating? I work for the civil service and meet all sorts. Yes, they do support those clubs. They like watching live football live. Not on sky cos you don't get the atmosphere. The cost, it's bloody cheap and easier to get too than any London club or Arsenal or Liverpool etc. It's not ludicrous at all, bigger clubs you will find have a waiting list for their season tickets it's cheaper to buy a season ticket than paying on a match by match basis. Lots of people will do this. Not just people I know, but there will be others.
Freeman's Wharfer Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 Should have been some priority for people who went to a certain amount of matches last season as well. No there shouldn't! If you didn't sign up for a season ticket last year... join the queue with everyone else who now wants one because we're promoted!
bart Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 No there shouldn't! If you didn't sign up for a season ticket last year... join the queue with everyone else who now wants one because we're promoted! I went to 20 plus home matches last season, probably spent more on tickets than most people who had a season ticket (yes stupid I know). Would have got a halve season ticket but they were a rip off. Yet am now in the scramble along with everyone else.
Guest Papasmurf Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 I have been queue position 7 on the phone for 30 minutes!!! The number of death. That's when I got cut off a couple of times earlier.

Firstly apologies for the "old" that was more affectionately put that agesit! :-) Secondly - Deffo not exaggerating - see Suffolk Foxes post " I also know my brother in law who supports Man ure is also getting one because of Premiership football. Last time he. Had a season ticket at Leicester? Yes, you guessed it ten years ago" Its something that we are going to have to put up with - i dont agree with the "PLASTIC FAN" bullshit if people only try and get tickets for a big game but at least follow the scores and are mildly upset/dissapointed if we lose, the "PLASTIC" fans are those who come and watch and dont support either team!! I feel like a stuck record so i will shut it now
norfolkfox222 Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 Has anyone actually managed to get any online yet??
