4ever and ever Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 I went to 20 plus home matches last season, probably spent more on tickets than most people who had a season ticket (yes stupid I know). Would have got a halve season ticket but they were a rip off. Yet am now in the scramble along with everyone else. This is me too. Only missed 3 home matches and went to 10 away matches. This whole I am better than you rubbish because they are season ticket holders this season is rubbish.

This whole I am better than you rubbish because they are season ticket holders this season is rubbish. Only missed 3 home matches. So you're out of pocket and no further up the pecking order. Ouch.
22BLUE Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 Has anyone actually managed to get any online yet?? What he said.
4ever and ever Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 Only missed 3 home matches. So you're out of pocket and no further up the pecking order. Ouch. Indeed. Started taking my little ones 3 and 4 (they went to 6 games each as well) to appease the boss at home. I dont have a problem being down the pecking order with everyone else its just that the whole online system is flawed and cant handle more than one person buying a ticket at one time. I want the ticket next to my dads season ticket too which is the reason for my slight panic.
ianormondroyd Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 This is me too. Only missed 3 home matches and went to 10 away matches. This whole I am better than you rubbish because they are season ticket holders this season is rubbish. Same here but i went to 12 away games, which i think makes me a touch better than you!
hackneyfox Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 800 tickets of the 7000 gone according to website Where does it say that? All this and only 800 sold?
adam Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 Where does it say that? All this and only 800 sold? on the LCFC site. Imagine how many more they would of sold if the phone or online systems actually worked. aaah im back in the queue. almost managed to add one to a basket then.
Carter90 Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 wasnt there an "automatic renewal" somewhere for this season. i cant actually remember, but ive heard no mention of it, apolpgies if its already been mentioned somewhere.
Neil_LCFC Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 Ive been to 15 home games this season at a cost of around 350 quid and am a member with all those games as booking history but I guess it counts for nothing against people who have got a day off work. There is months until the season starts . They could have easily had some priority system so regular fans get a chance before anyone.
BoyJones Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 After 4 hours 23 minutes of "you are in a queue" and a couple of time outs, got through. Within five minutes was at the stage "waiting for stadium seats to load"..... Five minutes later, crashed and gone back to "you are in a queue" A Premier League team with a non-league web site. Not impressed with whoever is in charge of the IT.
Freeman's Wharfer Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 I went to 20 plus home matches last season, probably spent more on tickets than most people who had a season ticket (yes stupid I know). Would have got a halve season ticket but they were a rip off. Yet am now in the scramble along with everyone else. This is me too. Only missed 3 home matches and went to 10 away matches. This whole I am better than you rubbish because they are season ticket holders this season is rubbish. It's not "I am better than you" at all. What you're asking for is priority from the club when it's quite clear that the club can only give priority to season ticket holders who have stumped up the cash at the start of the season regardless. They can sell a maximum of 23,000 season tickets for next season and our support in terms of the number of people that went to matches last season is probably circa 35,000 (16,000 season ticket holders and 19,000 that go on an 'as and when' basis, choosing certain matches). Where does it stop?! If they say people who went to more than 15 home matches, Mr Bloggs who went to 14 pipes up that he only missed 1 more than everyone else. If they say, 10 matches they might have more people in that category than they have season tickets to sell (7,000). People expect priority from the club when they haven't given priority to them in return. I'm not saying this about either of you personally but for some people it's very easy to think in July 2013 "I'm not getting a season ticket I'll see how they get on" and then hey-ho we're having the best season in a decade and going down to matches becomes a whole lot more appealing. Unlucky for you financially that it cost you more but, had we been having the kind of season Birmingham City have had, you might have found yourself suddenly glad that you hadn't paid for a season ticket whilst those that had had already made the financial outlay. People then had the option of a half season ticket that they still didn't choose to take up when it was quite clear that we were in with a good shot at promotion... In the club's eyes (quite rightly), they couldn't care less how many games you went to last season (particularly away - people still don't seem to realise that it benefits LCFC financially in little/no manner whatsoever if people buy away tickets) you're just the same as everyone else who didn't commit to backing them for a full season last summer.
ScouseFox Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 Wait we've only sold 800 new ones? So that queue was full of renewals?! Is this a joke?
Neil_LCFC Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 Thank god if its true. And we must have some of the most stupid fans ever queuing for renewals.
chapero82 Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 I can't see me getting one this year I can't through what so ever
davieG Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 The queue at King Power Stadium for 2014/15 Season Tickets has been suspended for today as staff work hard to service supporters that have queued all day. The City Fanstore has seen an unprecedented demand for Season Ticket renewals as well as the 7,000 available to new applicants, of which 800 have been snapped up so far. Supporters looking to renew or buy a new Season Ticket are thanked for their patience and are encouraged to come back on Wednesday, when the remaining allocation will still be available. Not impressed with whoever is in charge of the IT. I think most of our IT stuff is outsourced to Perform Group, which is supposed to be an "expert" in this area. Not sure if that includes lcfcdirect or just lcfc.com. We are listed as one of their partners here http://www.performgroup.co.uk/FootballCaseStudies Perform are a joke but there's so few players in this industry that there aren't many credible alternatives.
22BLUE Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 So finally got past the queue on lcfcdirect, unable to select to buy a ST.Think I might just wait until 4AM to let everything and everyone chill out a bit.
Kitchandro Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 I've not even managed to get in the phone queue once yet. I am immediately cut off as soon as I press option 1. The website is at a standstill at best, occasionally crashing. Absolute nightmare.
C-man Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 To be fair to the Club, if they did a cost-benefit analysis I'm sure it would show no point in them upgrading their online systems for the one or two times a year when it does become manic. What should be better, however, is the process for selling. A few weeks for renewers and relocators before going on general sale has worked fine in the past, no idea why they've changed it.

yorkie1999 Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 Am I the only one sat here relaxing with the knowledge I can just ring up in a weeks time to renew? Nope, and i'm even more relaxed because my sister in law picks mine up.
4ever and ever Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 Same here but i went to 12 away games, which i think makes me a touch better than you! Im plastic;). But thanks to a lovely lady called Olivia on the ticket office phone line I now have my season ticket secured in the seat next to me my dad!
