statto7 Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 They must have known this day was coming for a couple of weeks at least surely they can plan, stuck on the internet doesn't allow me to select that I even want a season ticket. So frustrating anybody actually managed to buy one yet
b19ed Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 Having paid more than the cost of a season ticket almost on a game by game basis I thought I would get a season ticket to save the hassle for trying for game by game next season. Got to the ground about 6.40 to find people had camped overnight - 4 and a half hours later I had my seats (and a photo with the Championship Trophy). People in the queue after I left are going to be there until closing - it is mental. Oh - and the mathmatician who worked out the 14.5 season tickets per minute needs to be thinking outside the box - there were people in there buying 6's and 8's at a time and when i spoke to the guy on the desk he reckons so far only a couple had been renewals so this was all new customers - glad to say that most had been to the majority of games except for 2 blokes who last had a season ticket....yes you guessed it..................TEN YEARS AGO!!!

yorkie1999 Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 My guess is the club have generated a load of interest in renewing and selling new season tickets so they can take a load of publicity photos showing how popular the club is. Or something along those lines

Because Rocky old chap - the hundreds and hundreds of people who were behind them in the queue, trying to get through on the phones and websites are most probably Leicester fans where as these blokes wanted to watch Premiership football and the KP was easier for them to get to than Villa Park which they were going to last season!!

Not moaning Hackney - fair play to them for queuing in the cold this morning - t'was a bit fresh before the sun came out for a bit! ps - if anyone has a portable catering van they could make an absolute fortune today - everyone was gasping for food and drink whilst queuing

gonnabeblueforever Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 and if you are just wanting to renew then forget all about season tickets for a month, go on holiday or something, have a party next bank holiday weekend and then buy your st because your seat will still be saved. exactly what we are doing, I don't intend to renew our 4 seats until nearly 2nd June deadline

ScouseFox Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 exactly what we are doing, I don't intend to renew our 4 seats until nearly 2nd June deadline the sensible thing to do. if i was in leicester and just renewing, would probably wait til the end of may payday then stroll down to the ground on a day off probably be the only person there, pay for it and leave. Click season tickets. it should come up, but the box to select will most probably be greyed out. it won't let me click it haha. something is loading apparently but it has been for a good 3 or 4 minutes.
