bart Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 Why is it clear the club only give priority to previous season ticket holders? Yes any system will have winners and losers, but I'm sure they could have easily calculated how many previous matches would potentially take up say, 2k of the tickets. Better than have people who didn't go at all last season surely (not financially but from a fan/customer standpoint). Anything would be better than the free for all that they have now. Oh and half season tickets were stupidly expensive - I guess to save on giving cheaper renewals this season.
Ricey Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 Finally got back through to the season ticket section, only for it to constantly claim that I need to install the latest version of Flash, despite me definatley having the latest version of Flash. Having to log out and back to the end of queue. I really thought the club would have learnt after the Watford ticket fiasco last season.
4ever and ever Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 It's not "I am better than you" at all. What you're asking for is priority from the club when it's quite clear that the club can only give priority to season ticket holders who have stumped up the cash at the start of the season regardless. They can sell a maximum of 23,000 season tickets for next season and our support in terms of the number of people that went to matches last season is probably circa 35,000 (16,000 season ticket holders and 19,000 that go on an 'as and when' basis, choosing certain matches). Where does it stop?! If they say people who went to more than 15 home matches, Mr Bloggs who went to 14 pipes up that he only missed 1 more than everyone else. If they say, 10 matches they might have more people in that category than they have season tickets to sell (7,000). People expect priority from the club when they haven't given priority to them in return. I'm not saying this about either of you personally but for some people it's very easy to think in July 2013 "I'm not getting a season ticket I'll see how they get on" and then hey-ho we're having the best season in a decade and going down to matches becomes a whole lot more appealing. Unlucky for you financially that it cost you more but, had we been having the kind of season Birmingham City have had, you might have found yourself suddenly glad that you hadn't paid for a season ticket whilst those that had had already made the financial outlay. People then had the option of a half season ticket that they still didn't choose to take up when it was quite clear that we were in with a good shot at promotion... In the club's eyes (quite rightly), they couldn't care less how many games you went to last season (particularly away - people still don't seem to realise that it benefits LCFC financially in little/no manner whatsoever if people buy away tickets) you're just the same as everyone else who didn't commit to backing them for a full season last summer. If you read my next post down in the thread I have no problem whatsoever in being in the queue where i am behind season ticket holders. My main problem is the system in general. But your point about priority not working is flawed. Based on that then the whole away ticket priority ticket system shouldnt exist as a season ticket holder who has been to 0 away games deserves an away ticket as much as one that had been to all 23 in the previous season? I now have my season ticket after perseverance on the phone and will also probably be in category 1 for next season as I will start the season with 10 points. Whoever goes to the games to support the team I love is fine by me but I do think either some sort of priority system for season tickets needs to be put in place or an upgrade to the ticketing system so it is not as much down to luck as to who is getting through.
Babylon Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 I think season ticket holders should be given first dibs on new season tickets so we can make sure our mates get them.
jammie82uk Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 I really thought the club would have learnt after the Watford ticket fiasco last season. I really thought the fans would have learnt after the Watford,Man City, Doncaster fiasco
hackneyfox Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 Thank god if its true. And we must have some of the most stupid fans ever queuing for renewals. Perhaps they were trying to relocate.
Buzzell Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 'There are currently no events' What's this bullshit all about?

ozleicester Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 I think season ticket holders should be given first dibs on new season tickets so we can make sure our mates get them. They should be allowed to buy 6 extra season tickets
4ever and ever Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 They should be allowed to buy 6 extra season tickets I think they should be allowed to buy several extra
Babylon Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 Is it bad that I'm sat in the online queue just to see how long it takes?
statto7 Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 With regards to phones was it just trying over and over again
Bert Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 To be fair to the Club, if they did a cost-benefit analysis I'm sure it would show no point in them upgrading their online systems for the one or two times a year when it does become manic. What should be better, however, is the process for selling. A few weeks for renewers and relocators before going on general sale has worked fine in the past, no idea why they've changed it. Money talks. Many fans will still have the feel good buzz and I think that's a key factor to get them sold whilst people are still mad keen.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 I'm better than you all, I've watched loads of streams this season.
norfolkfox222 Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 Is it worth the 3 hour drive from Norfolk in the morning to start the que? the phone lines and online are absolute garbage? will the online work in middle of night when it calms down?
ozleicester Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 I think they should be allowed to buy several extra .. always gotta go one better havent you
C-man Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 Money talks. Many fans will still have the feel good buzz and I think that's a key factor to get them sold whilst people are still mad keen. Fair point and expect that is certainly the case so they should've started the renewals period earlier.
yorkie1999 Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 Is it bad that I'm sat in the online queue just to see how long it takes? thats funny, think i'll try that
red5 Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 Is it bad that I'm sat in the online queue just to see how long it takes? I've got 3 browsers all trying to connect
Dan Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 Why a single person who is renewing has gone down today is beyond me.
ozleicester Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 I'm better than you all, I've watched loads of streams this season. Enough of you porn lifestyle!...although.. how many of the streams involved plastic?
