I said that our play has been good enough to deserve points BUT we haven't been able to make those performances stick for the full 90. We've had the odd moment or lapse of concentration which brings us back and costs us points, or we've missed a chance because players have panicked. Promising performances have shown that we're capable of doing enough to survive (which was the point I was making), but if we're to make that a reality we have to turn those performances into results. Big IF. Am I being delusional? No. Realistically I agree we're probably down, but I know we're capable of surviving, and I'm still hopeful that that is the case. The difference between us is that you seem certain that we're down already, when that is most certainly not the case. I'm not here for an argument but I don't agree. I fully read your post and understood it. I don't agree. A promising performance is not one where we score a goal but conceded two. Or even draw away at an average team. What would be promising is getting results more consistently than we have done.
