Stadt Posted 8 August 2014 Posted 8 August 2014 Redknapp is also a shit manager so there's another reason we'll finish above them.
LCFC FOX Posted 8 August 2014 Posted 8 August 2014 Look what Arry did to Portsmouth with his spend spend spend approach, QPR will either do well or follow them.

Soar Fox Posted 8 August 2014 Posted 8 August 2014 Look what Arry did to Portsmouth with his spend spend spend approach, QPR will either do well or follow them. I read Harry's book recently it's a good read. This "spend spend approach" as you say also made them a lot of money when they sold them. Lass Diarra bought for £5.5 million sold for £19 million. Glen Johnson bought for £4 million sold for £17.5 million. Sulley Muntari bought for £7.1 million sold for €16 million euros. Sylvan Distin free transfer sold for £5 million. Peter Crouch bought for £11 million sold for £10 million (Harry re-signed him for spurs) Jermain Defoe bought for £6 million sold for £16 million (Harry re-signed him for spurs) So in total some of the players he bought in actually made them a profit of around £56 million.

LanguedocFox Posted 8 August 2014 Posted 8 August 2014 I can, and often do, imagine Jessica Alba giving me a blow job, but that doesn't mean it is going to happen. Even if it did, she'd be really disappointed in you, after giving me one. Just saying.
Nalis Posted 8 August 2014 Posted 8 August 2014 Think its going to be one extreme or the other with QPR so either way I have a funny feeling we wont worry about each other too much. Its the likes of Swansea/Palace/Hull/West Brom who will be our 'rivals', for this season at least anyway...

But someone should talk to your website designer: that is a fvcking awful first page!
LanguedocFox Posted 8 August 2014 Posted 8 August 2014 Last season, Col and I were about the only ones who were saying that the "Harry must go" mob were wrong, both on FT and on the QPR forums. And we were right. OK, so QPR were lucky to win the play-off final, and I would much rather Derby had won it. But QPR are back in the Premier League at the first time of asking, with a lot of the players - and all of the management team - that they had last time around. What's more, I think there are at least five teams - Villa, West Brom, Hull, Sunderland and Burnley - who are worse than them. I can't stand Redknapp, and I think he has a lot to answer for in the Portsmouth saga: but anyone who thinks QPR are shoo-ins for relegation this season is just plain wrong.
Corky Posted 8 August 2014 Posted 8 August 2014 Was chuffed for Kingy too, he's been through a lot of shit and absolutely grafted for the club. Must be the best feeling. Six years ago this evening he was preparing to face MK Dons in League One, now he's waiting for Werder Bremen a week ahead of a Premier League campaign. He might've been pushed down the order by very good players now but in his early career, in Pearson's first spell, he was an important player in turning the club's fortunes around and it's great to see him part of the Premier League squad.
Stevosevic Posted 8 August 2014 Posted 8 August 2014 Was chuffed for Kingy too, he's been through a lot of shit and absolutely grafted for the club. Must be the best feeling. Doesn't have the respect he deserves.

Eh, you say that, but the only reason they made it back up is because they didn't have Redknapp for the full season - they'd have finished outside the play-offs but for McClarens spell in charge. Can't agree with that either - they are abysmal. Last season, Austin got a third of their goals despite being out for a third of the season, and they've made no moves to provide him with support/back-up, instead they're trying to sell their only other half-decent striker. They're shoo ins for relegation unless they sign a decent striker.
cjslcfc Posted 8 August 2014 Posted 8 August 2014 Kingy has been an absolute servant to us helping drag the club from its lowest point in history. I am elated for the guy that he can play for us in the premier league. He will certainly have a role to play!
Haydos Posted 8 August 2014 Posted 8 August 2014 Doesn't have the respect he deserves. I agree, I know he has his fans, me included, but in what has been a tough 10 years for us he has been a star of that. There are a fair few that wouldn't be fussed if he just left on a free now which I think is despicable. Definitely my favourite player outside the O'Neil era. I hate the cliche that form is temporary, class is permanent but this guy has so much ability in and around the box and he's been the best finisher at the club for years. I really want him back to being that threat again and banging in 10-15 goals a season.

No-one deserves it more.
Danno Posted 8 August 2014 Posted 8 August 2014 Cissokho to Villa, horrendous left back. They are serious relegation candidates this season.
MC Prussian Posted 8 August 2014 Posted 8 August 2014 Cissokho to Villa, horrendous left back. They are serious relegation candidates this season. A bit harsh, but I get the general sentiment.

And no-one would have given them a prayer at the end of January. You don't know - because it's impossible to know - that they would have lost all the matches that they won when McLaren was in charge. You don't know what would have happened if Austin had not been injured - would they have been automatically promoted? In which case, what happened to the argument that football is a team game. My point is that you, and most of the other nay-sayers, were wrong last season. Maybe you will be right this year. But playing in a league that includes Villa and West Brom gives QPR a fvcking good chance of survival. Of that we can surely all agree.
