tokyo_fox Posted 17 May 2014 Posted 17 May 2014 Good news given the many rumours of him going elsewhere (Kasper Schemic-Hull!) recently but his reported wages of over 40K a week concern me a little

spirefoxes Posted 17 May 2014 Posted 17 May 2014 i don't care how much he earns. he is worth every penny.
absolutelegend Posted 17 May 2014 Posted 17 May 2014 i don't care how much he earns. he is worth every penny. are you sven?
Daveaway Posted 17 May 2014 Posted 17 May 2014 get the lad in from Charlton now, that's the keepers position sorted,
VLC86 Posted 17 May 2014 Posted 17 May 2014 £40,000 A WEEK. Please be joking. Hardly going to cause us many problems is it? How much do you think signing his replacement would cost us? 4/5 mil? Then wages, 30k a week say... That's 8.5 mil minimum yet if he's on £40k per week that's just over £6 mil. Are teams going to want him if we go down? Yes and I can't see us getting less than £3 mil so therefore over a year we would have made money. No risk at all for a good International keeper
80footgiraffe Posted 17 May 2014 Posted 17 May 2014 If this is true i din't care what else happens this window
promised land Posted 17 May 2014 Posted 17 May 2014 i don't care how much he earns. he is worth every penny. The header alone is worthy of his four year deal.
foxfanazer Posted 17 May 2014 Posted 17 May 2014 Fantastic news if true! Don't see why fans get so concerned about what players are earning. Sure the club know what they're doing.
Wakeyfox Posted 17 May 2014 Posted 17 May 2014 I'll believe it when I see it on the LCFC website. ... In a couple of weeks.
foxfanazer Posted 17 May 2014 Posted 17 May 2014 I'll believe it when I see it on the LCFC website.I'll believe it when the Mercury report that Kasper Schmeichel has signed a new four year deal for the Leicester tigers
LCFC31 Posted 17 May 2014 Posted 17 May 2014 I'll believe it when the Mercury report that Kasper Schmeichel has signed a new four year deal for the Leicester tigers That's like saying 'I'll believe it when Ian Stringer says it'.
cc_star Posted 17 May 2014 Posted 17 May 2014 Not sure I believe the reported wages, however the important thing is clauses for huuuuge cut in wages if relegated. Also, is Kasper £40k/wk good? with him being still piss poor on setpieces with his positioning & decision making? Great shot stopper mind. Although if his rate of improvement continues he'll fly I suppose we'll find out as we won't be dominating games in opponent's half like last season £30k wage cap?

The owners never confirmed the wage cap.
st albans fox Posted 17 May 2014 Posted 17 May 2014 If true, we will never know the details of the contract so is there any point debating it? Either he signs or he doesnt. If we begin the season with a squad where huge variations in salary are present then you'll soon see the consequences. The club will not make the mistakes of sven's era again. The length of any contract will be something we can debate, once we know it.
Buzzell Posted 17 May 2014 Posted 17 May 2014 I'm suprised he wanted £40k a week. I would of expected him to be asking for around £50k/£60k a week with the likes of A.C Milan and Arsenal sniffing around.
MC Prussian Posted 17 May 2014 Posted 17 May 2014 Can't complain on a four-year deal. If, IF we stay up and he puts in great performances like he did in the Championship and bigger teams come asking for a deal, it's going to cost them to buy him out of that contract. The four years pretty much guarantee that he'll highly likely to stay with us for the peak of his career (up until he's 31). I have the sneaky feeling he'll improve even more during those four years. Overall, bloody great news and I salute both the club and Kasper for committing to us!
