No he will be on double that easily and yes I am insinuating that he is as good as England's number one. Schmeichel is worth more then that in my opinion and could probably have got a lot more elsewhere, if this is true it just shows what a loyal servant of Leicester Kasper is.

Micky Posted 17 May 2014 Posted 17 May 2014 I have already said elsewhere, I believe the most important thing about him signing is that it gives us consistency. We have just had a fantastic season. The last thing we need is a change of keeper, especially when we are going to face a fair bit of bombardment next season! Edit: The other important factor is that he is obviously a very good keeper.

Yes, he could have got 60 or 70 if he had gone to one of the major sides linked with him, but he chose to stay with us. He's getting double what he was on and judging by the performances by everyone in the squad last season they all deserve the same treatment. Kasper has earned it most definitely in my opinion. A suitable replacement of the same quality as Kasper would have cost a few million and probably demanded more then 40k. Good business, I'm chuffed to bits.

He seems a decent enough bloke and once upon a time the info he gave appeared to be pretty accurate and he may well have known someone who knew someone. It's been pretty clear for a couple of years that things have changed, however. The only issue I do have is the way he lets the twitterati and stringer etc big him up as an itk when, well, he isn't any more. I'd hope that he's been around the internet long enough to handle what is essentially a written dig in the ribs. I just get this vague feeling sometimes that he enjoys being seen as a bit special by some a little too much. I may be wrong.

That's 8.5 mil minimum yet if he's on £40k per week that's just over £6 mil. Are teams going to want him if we go down? Yes and I can't see us getting less than £3 mil so therefore over a year we would have made money. No risk at all for a good International keeper Fully agree with this - even if the numbers are slightly wrong the point being made is spot on!
