Buzzell Posted 20 May 2014 Posted 20 May 2014 there rumours that we are bidding for sheffield utd Diego de Girolamo . what do we know about him ? **** all...
stevelcfc Posted 20 May 2014 Posted 20 May 2014  Should have named him after this guy  Apache, isn't that a type of military helicopter?
StanSP Posted 20 May 2014 Posted 20 May 2014 Apache, isn't that a type of military helicopter? Â I don't know, but I meant Geronimo.
Finnaldo Posted 20 May 2014 Posted 20 May 2014 Looks like he'd be a development squad signing Definitely. Only played about two games for Sheff. United and he's still 18.
Bryn Posted 20 May 2014 Posted 20 May 2014 Apache, isn't that a type of military helicopter? Named after the North American tribe, like Cherokee.
deejdeej Posted 20 May 2014 Posted 20 May 2014 When I saw his name I expected him to be some Argentine wonderkid or something. . Then I saw the words 'Sheffield United'
Narborough_fox Posted 20 May 2014 Posted 20 May 2014 I signed him on loan for Wimbledon on Football Manager, he was alright. Better than Antwi but not as good as Bennett.Â
allen10 Posted 20 May 2014 Posted 20 May 2014 Would definitely be a development squad player if we did go for him. Don't think he featured for Sheff Utd at all last season, but made a few sub appearances the season before.
mattlcfc Posted 21 May 2014 Posted 21 May 2014 Don't be fooled by his lack of playing time, he had a bad knee injury that kept him out all last season. When he did come back for the reserves Arsenal and Everton were there watching him. Can't see why he'd join us to be honest, most of the top clubs in England have an eye on him. He'd also be a senior player without a doubt. England's youth teams are desperate for him to change allegiances from Italy, but their head of youth rang him personally they were so keen on getting him. Honestly don't think we'd have a chance with this one anyway. Perhaps on loan if he moves to a massive club.
ElusiveEd Posted 21 May 2014 Posted 21 May 2014 I thought that was a picture of Conrad Logan the day he finally got a game.
lgfualol Posted 21 May 2014 Posted 21 May 2014 I bought him on fifa for about £10. Ever since I have always liked him. I cant imagine him jumping from sheffield straight up into our first team in the prem though.
LcFc_Smiv Posted 21 May 2014 Posted 21 May 2014 I assisted some of the coaches when they took some of his rehab at Sheff Utd, apart from that I haven't seen much of him due to his injury, although I know a lot of people at the club who say he is an outstanding prospect.Â
Poznan34 Posted 21 May 2014 Posted 21 May 2014 Juve and Arsenal have been linked:Â http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2606461/Diego-Girolamo-targeted-Juventus-Serie-A-clubs-Arsenal-track-Sheffield-Uniteds-star-striker.html
LeicesterBran Posted 21 May 2014 Posted 21 May 2014 Â A mateof mine whom supports Sheffield United, he rates De Girolamo quite highly despite him not playing last season. I doubt we'll get him if Juventus and Arsenal are sniffing around him.
Guest Posted 21 May 2014 Posted 21 May 2014 His name is an anagram of 'goalie or demigod'. That's what we call Conrad round these parts.
Happy Fox Posted 21 May 2014 Posted 21 May 2014 We are poised to bid for him was in the Albrighton article by the Daily Mail  Leicester are also poised to bid for Sheffield United's teenage striker Diego de Girolamo. The 18-year-old is an Italy Under 19 international but was born in Chesterfield. Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2633808/Marc-Albrighton-set-leave-Leicester-City-Aston-Villa-fail-renew-contract.html#ixzz32NlnLv6R Follow us: @MailOnline on Twitter | DailyMail on Facebook
EcclesallOwl Posted 22 May 2014 Posted 22 May 2014 He's a brilliant player  Juventus were trying to sign him at one point if I remember correctly
