Looks like he'd be a development squad signing

Definitely. Only played about two games for Sheff. United and he's still 18.

Would definitely be a development squad player if we did go for him. Don't think he featured for Sheff Utd at all last season, but made a few sub appearances the season before.

Don't be fooled by his lack of playing time, he had a bad knee injury that kept him out all last season. When he did come back for the reserves Arsenal and Everton were there watching him. Can't see why he'd join us to be honest, most of the top clubs in England have an eye on him.

He'd also be a senior player without a doubt. England's youth teams are desperate for him to change allegiances from Italy, but their head of youth rang him personally they were so keen on getting him. Honestly don't think we'd have a chance with this one anyway. Perhaps on loan if he moves to a massive club.

I bought him on fifa for about £10. Ever since I have always liked him. I cant imagine him jumping from sheffield straight up into our first team in the prem though.

I assisted some of the coaches when they took some of his rehab at Sheff Utd, apart from that I haven't seen much of him due to his injury, although I know a lot of people at the club who say he is an outstanding prospect.

A mateof mine whom supports Sheffield United, he rates De Girolamo quite highly despite him not playing last season. I doubt we'll get him if Juventus and Arsenal are sniffing around him.

His name is an anagram of 'goalie or demigod'.

That's what we call Conrad round these parts.

We are poised to bid for him was in the Albrighton article by the Daily Mail

Leicester are also poised to bid for Sheffield United's teenage striker Diego de Girolamo. The 18-year-old is an Italy Under 19 international but was born in Chesterfield.
