LeicesterBran Posted 22 May 2014 Posted 22 May 2014 Welcome to LCFC Ben. He'll be a good deputy for Kasper next season in the Premier League and in case Kasper gets injured or suspended. I'd have faith in Hamer behind the sticks.
Gary Eatfood Posted 22 May 2014 Posted 22 May 2014 That ****ing Beard is majestic. Willkommen, Ben! Just needs to dye it blue and white now.
WhispyWizard Posted 22 May 2014 Posted 22 May 2014 Pleased with this. I very much doubt we would have found a better goalkeeper prepared to sit on the bench. He probably isn't happy to, which is why Kasper will haveto be on his toes, although you never know, may be straight in the starting 11 if Kasper doesn't get that contract signed!
LCCFox96 Posted 22 May 2014 Posted 22 May 2014 Really pleased with this. A vastly improved deputy to Kasper - as much as we love Conrad - and keeper I would feel comfortable starting if and where necessary. To top it all off.....THAT BEARD! Welcome to Leicester City.
RowlattsFox Posted 22 May 2014 Posted 22 May 2014 Hope kasper sees this as a positive, competition is good because I don't think Hamer will accept a back up position, he'll believe he can be number 1. Can't say I've seen much of him but he comes with decent reputation.
Narborough_fox Posted 22 May 2014 Posted 22 May 2014 Very happy with this signing. Gives Kasper (if he signs) good competition which, no doubt, will improve Kasper's game with him being on his toes all season. Hamer is also a good keeper in his own right and means we will be able to rotate in the cup if Pearson wants.
THEBIGJOHNSTEADER; Posted 22 May 2014 Posted 22 May 2014 You know when 2 lezzas rub their fannies together and say "scissor me timbers", I want me and Ben to rub our beards together and say "up the football here we go" Welcome. I like your little beard
It's me Posted 22 May 2014 Posted 22 May 2014 Good signing didn't have much faith with Conrad in the prem if Kasper got injured
Captain... Posted 22 May 2014 Posted 22 May 2014 Good signing didn't have much faith with Conrad in the prem if Kasper got injured Especially as we wouldn't be able to get a loan in, we will probably want 3 keepers in the 25 man squad, so still a place for Logan, we would be very unlucky to get 2 long term injuries between September and January, but Kasper injured, then Hamer suspended would mean we need a back-up, back-up, most teams have 3 keepers in their 25 man squad.
Guest Posted 22 May 2014 Posted 22 May 2014 New Peter Gabriel inspired chant: "I wanna beee...... BEN HAMER!" It's a Ker-nockout!
Xen Posted 22 May 2014 Posted 22 May 2014 08/09, wins League 2. 3 years later, joins a new club. wins League 1 first season. 3 years later, joins a new club. ...?
ScouseFox Posted 22 May 2014 Posted 22 May 2014 didn't man city get fulop on "emergency loan" a few seasons back despite having about 7 keepers at the club?
The Doctor Posted 22 May 2014 Posted 22 May 2014 Somewhere, Lamby is weeping uncontrollably. Anyway, good news - don't expect him to be first choice if Kasper signed, but he'll provide good competition.
Rusko187 Posted 22 May 2014 Posted 22 May 2014 Welcome to the Club Ben... Now can we get rid of Conrad Logan?
dayday Posted 22 May 2014 Posted 22 May 2014 Trying to think of a song for him,and the best I can do is MC hamer.
LanguedocFox Posted 22 May 2014 Posted 22 May 2014 I assume we'll put Conrad out on loan somewhere, and hopefully Adam Smith will get a full season loan at Cambridge to build his experience. It's going to be like the 1960s, with two class goalies fighting for the one spot... well no, not exactly - but the first time for a while we've had two good goalies at the same time.
It's me Posted 22 May 2014 Posted 22 May 2014 Welcome to the Club Ben... Now can we get rid of Conrad Logan? No we'd need an experienced keeper as a 3rd choice in the 25 man squad incase kasper and Ben both got injuredAlso comrades been a great servant to the club, not with how good he's played or breaking any records (apart from bench warming records)but I mean who else would be happy sitting as a number 2 for 8 years to many different keepers and not kick up a fuss when he could have quite easily put a transfer request in and played regular league 1 football, he must love the club.
Finnaldo Posted 22 May 2014 Posted 22 May 2014 I hope we give him a loan out. This is what I thought. Have preseason with the team then go off on loan. If we need him, we can just withdraw him later.
