Just read a article on SPORTSBREAK. Regarding who they believe to be the top 10 bargain transfers in history!

 

 

10. Ole Gunnar Solskjær – Molde to Manchester United – £1.5 million

9. Joe Hart – Shrewsbury to Man City - £600,000

8. Nicholas Anelka – Paris Saint-Germain to Arsenal - £500,000

7. Henrik Larsson – Feyenoord to Celtic - £650,000

6. Jay Jay Okocha – Paris Saint-Germain to Bolton Wanderers – Free

5. Andrea Pirlo – Milan to Juventus – Free

Hugely debatable 10 i can think of a few my self that are worth to in there.

Serious note i think barca got a good deal with pique for around 5 million what a player he turned out to be!

 

Just discovered Arsenal paid  150k for Kolo Toure bargain!!!!

Bolton and Joe Hart shouldn't be anywhere near that.

And it's discounted anything that had happened more than 20 years ago.

After a bit of research I didnt realise arsenal have discovered some right gems and make some big profits of transfers.........................

 

Nicolas Anelka: £500,000

Robin van Persie: £2.75

Patrick Vieira £3.5m

Jens Lehmann £1.5m

 

The list goes on

2 million for a 1 in 2 PL scorer ain't bad considering 2012 prices.

Antonio Di Natale joined Udinese in 2004 for a five figure fee I think, and has gone on to be their top scorer in pretty much every season since. In the league from 2009-2013 he got 103 in 140 games.

 

He's got to be up there surely?

Shay Given to Newcastle wasn't bad.  Cost them 1.5 million

Demba Ba was a great deal for Newcastle. Picked up on a free, sold for £7m.

 

Tim Cahill - £1.5m

Youri Djorkaeff - Free

Roy Keane - cost Forest £47k

Ian Wright - cost Palace nothing

Kevin Keegan - joined Liverpool for a meagre £35k at the time

Ian Rush - £200k
