Pride_Of_The_Midlands Posted 15 July 2014 Posted 15 July 2014 people who want Hodgson gone I simply ask 1 question, WHO THE HELL DO WE REPLACE HIM WITH? Harry Redknapp.
Manwell Pablo Posted 15 July 2014 Author Posted 15 July 2014 A manager never broke his contract before then? Or a manager never gone straight into a managers job without experience? Wait, didn't Jurgen Klinsmann go straight into management being the Germany manager in 2004? They're all rhetorical questions by the way. You can forget Klinsmann right now, never going to happen, we wont have a German in charge and he'll be more than happy where he is.
Manwell Pablo Posted 15 July 2014 Author Posted 15 July 2014 Harry Redknapp. I love this. I'd actually rather have Pearson, a manager who has outwitted Arry with half the budget this season, or Dyche, to be fair to the ginger gob shite he's managed that feat as well.
surrifox Posted 16 July 2014 Posted 16 July 2014 Harry Redknapp. this will never ever happen (thank god)
Grandad. Posted 16 July 2014 Posted 16 July 2014 You can forget Klinsmann right now, never going to happen, we wont have a German in charge and he'll be more than happy where he is. I was just pointing out facts, Jimmy said that Klinsmann is under contract and we can't have Gary Neville because of his lack of experience, only has 2 years.
Tom17LCFC Posted 16 July 2014 Posted 16 July 2014 I reckon in a few years Neville's a great shout to become manager but not yet, way too soon.
Jimmy Posted 16 July 2014 Posted 16 July 2014 unless we can get someone like a Hiddink there's no point making a change pre tournament everyone wanted a young squad that would "have a go and attack" well that's what you got, if Roy had followed his natural instincts we might have snuck out of the group but that's about it, sacking a manager when we don't have a replacement is stupid
Pride_Of_The_Midlands Posted 17 July 2014 Posted 17 July 2014 Keeping a manager because there is no outstanding replacement (except Harry Redknapp) is stupid.
Guest MattP Posted 17 July 2014 Posted 17 July 2014 Keeping a manager because there is no outstanding replacement (except Harry Redknapp) is stupid. Harry Redknapp finished below Nigel Pearson, Sean Dyche and Steve McClaren last year with the budget of a Champions League team. You are living so far in the past it's shocking at times, who do you want as assistant? Venables? Winterbottom?

You are living so far in the past it's shocking at times, who do you want as assistant? Venables? Winterbottom? It's a shame McClaren had the spell with England that was disastrous, because winning trophies with Middlesbrough, getting to a European final and winning a league title in another country is a very respectable record. If he hadn't done it before he'd be a contender now.
Leicesterpool Posted 17 July 2014 Posted 17 July 2014 Harry Redknapp. Redknapp is so overrated the amount of money he's spent at his recent clubs is astonishing, he caused the fall of portsmouth in recent years. For me the next gaffer needs to be foreign, Klinsmann would be my vote. Done an amazing job with the USA team in the last world cup plus the young german side of the 2006 world cup played some great football under him. Plus not forgetting he's also played in England aswell.
Guest Col city fan Posted 17 July 2014 Posted 17 July 2014 I wanted Harry over Hodgson at the time though. I'd still choose Redknapp over Hodgson now. Much better motivator of men. That said, I don't think id choose either anymore. Redknapp is past his best and Roy has failed. Now... probably Klinsman? Really don't know to be honest.

Guest MattP Posted 17 July 2014 Posted 17 July 2014 There is zero chance of Klinsmann, the bloke loves living in America. He'll be in that job forever if he doesn't get sacked.
MC Prussian Posted 17 July 2014 Posted 17 July 2014 Have some pride mate. We should never have a foreign manager. If the English squad had some pride, you wouldn't need a foreign manager in the first place.
The Horse's Mouth Posted 17 July 2014 Posted 17 July 2014 people who want Hodgson gone I simply ask 1 question, WHO THE HELL DO WE REPLACE HIM WITH? Paul Clement
Pride_Of_The_Midlands Posted 17 July 2014 Posted 17 July 2014 If the English squad had some pride, you wouldn't need a foreign manager in the first place. They have more pride than the Swiss squad. And we don't need a foreign manager.
Guest MattP Posted 17 July 2014 Posted 17 July 2014 They have more pride than the Swiss squad. If they genuinely do they should be up for an Oscar.
MC Prussian Posted 18 July 2014 Posted 18 July 2014 They have more pride than the Swiss squad. And we don't need a foreign manager. Correct. You need a miracle. As for the pride part, the outcome at the 2014 World Cup made it clear to a global audience.
Grandad. Posted 18 July 2014 Posted 18 July 2014 Funny you should say we shouldn't have a foreign manager ever POTM, as it is clear you know so much about our national side then you would know that Eriksson and Capello are in the top 5 managers to have managed our country, through win percentages, right? Capello 66.7% Sir Alf Ramsey 61.1% Glen Hoddle 60.7% Ron Greenwood 60% Sven Goran Eriksson 59.7% I would happily have a foreign manager if it meant we had a manager who knew how to win games and play the right players in their correct positions, but that is just me.
