How does this thread currently relate to all the 'Premiership ain't all that' type posts and that we only need a couple of additions etc? Most people think we are gonna get tonked?

No, but we weren't expecting to pile up the points against the top 6 either.  Adding 6 or 8 players wouldn't help us compete with this slate right off the bat.    We will have to work our way up to it.  Personally, if we start with a few points out of this it would be a huge confidence booster going against WBA, Hull, Villa, Burnley, QPR, etc - who really 'aren't all that".

Honestly you'd have to be disappointed if we didn't get anything from the Everton game. I know they're a good side but if you're not getting anything at home against them, that's pretty weak. Think we'll get a draw at Stoke and Palace, with a home win to start off.

 

5 points wouldn't be so bad really.

I think you are confused by people thinking we can finish above 18th and expecting us to beat top five teams.
