lol Man City could genuinely come 4th.

Can't see Man City coming anything but 4th. A visit to the Olympico and Bayern at the Eitihad. I'd make them second favorites for both atm.

Would love it if England slipped down to 3 Champions league places. The panic among the big hitters would be brilliant.

Arsenal would finish 3rd. Every season.

Haha I was going to mention that Arsenal couldn't pull off their little "finish 4th at the death" trick. You're probably right though. Chelsea, City, Arsenal. Then the titans United, Liverpool and Spurs battling for the coveted Europa spots.

Manchester City forced to resort to buy-one-get-one-free ticket deal for Champions League clash.

Manuel Pellegrini's City side were criticised for not filling their allocation for the group game against Roma in September - but they've found a drastic solution.

It's hard to fill your stadium at the moment, even if your club is owned by a mega-rich Arab, Russian billionaire or ageing American sugar daddy.

That's certainly the case for Manchester City who only managed to sell-out Wednesday night's pivotal Champions League clash against CSKA Moscow by offering a buy-one-get-one-free deal on the tickets.

That's right: Tesco and Sainsbury's have known for years that they can make you buy more baked beans with two-for-one deals, and now football has got in on the act.

Only 37,509 City fans attended the Champions League game against Roma in September, leaving almost 10,000 empty seats in the ground.

The BOGOF deal is even more surprising given that City sell the cheapest adult season ticket in the top flight at £299. That's cheaper than 15 clubs in the Championship, 10 clubs in League One, four in League Two and one in the Conference - but City's fans aren't using any of their savings to pick up Champions League tickets, which must be paid for separately.

The big question is whether City can really call themselves a big club if they have to offer supermarket-like deals on crucial games? This is all from a club who want to extend their stadium capacity by adding 6,000 seats to their South Stand by the start of the 2015/16 season. Where is the business sense in that?

City fans are also planning to turn their backs to the pitch when the Champions League anthem is played tonight after UEFA forced the two clubs to play their group match in an empty stadium for the recent poor behaviour of CSKA's supporters.

Premier league still the best in Europe?

Not sure...

Depends on what 'the best' means. the premiership certainly isn't the best when it comes to winning european trophies.

If anyone still believes it is now they won't be changing their opinion whatever happens.

It's been below Spain for 4-5 years now comfortably.

We take the rejects from their top teams and pay them a fortune.

Or quality lol. The English Champions have failed to beat the Champions of Russia in two attempts and couldn't beat the Italian runners up at home.

Chelsea apart, none of our sides look like they have a hope of doing anything in the champions league, and Man City have been a joke. They will forever get a tough champions league group because their seeding is so low, but bloody hell if you cant take 6 points off CSKA, one in an empty stadium to eliminate what atmosphere there would have been, and at home when you should be winning 2 or 3 nil you deserve your low seeding.

Arsenal qualify from the group every year and then bomb out in the knockout phase, they add absolutely nothing whatsoever to the competition.

Whatever people say about them, we miss a competitive Manchester United in Europe.

The league is simply over-rated in terms of quality. English fans always claim that we have as many strong sides as anyone but it's being proven to be a myth year in, year out.

Chelsea are the only saving grace. I could see them making the semi finals this year though I still think they're behind the top three.

Wouldn't be surprised if they went into the last game needing a win to come third and they effectively opt out of it to focus on qualifying to embarrass themselves again next year.

They are the epitome of everything I dislike about English football currently. I can at least admire the fact Chelsea genuinely look the real deal.

Arsenal would finish 3rd. Every season.

Arsenal are as typical Arsenal as I remember them (ie, bottlers, inconsistent, soft-centered) yet will probably finish third. The Premier League is going through a really weak period and at this rate Chelsea will bloody win the league away at us.

I'm definitely sure lol
