Rotherham v Leicester City post match thread - 1-3

Unbeaten in six friendlies. This can only lead one way...

Overconfidence, misled early hope of Premier League survival, champagne bottles smashed to pieces en masse in the Leicester City centre, collective jubilations including mass *** in school cantinas, prompting R. (Rob) Kelly to cite his famous "smashing bunch of lads" which leads to the sale of a special "The Friendlies Kings" CD distributed by four non-blondes.

In short, we're doomed.

But still, we can now report positive signals from Ulloa and the team. And that the systems work with no matter whom's up front.

Or so one might think.

Next stop: Werder Bremen.

Sometimes I'm convinced you're on drugs.

Took a while to get going, but we looked comfortable after that. Ulloa really looked the part for me once he scored, went to ground easy a couple of times but won more than his fare share of headers and unlucky not to score a third on a couple of occasions. Danny and James will make a big impression next season I think. Drinky in particular, goes from strength to strength. Liam Moore also.

Knockaerts face lol - looks like he's trying to be impressed but smug at the same time

Enjoyable game. Goals well taken, GTF had a very decent game. Hope Knocky is ok as he looked in a lot of pain. Scouts from Burnley there tonight plus Steve Bruce and his son in attendance.

Actually had to laugh out loud walking out the ground.

Rotherham fan: "Leicester don't look very good do they? They will struggle next season only put three past us and they look very weak defensively".

Ok mate.

And I'd agree with the Rotherham fan that said that.

Of course we will struggle it's to be expected as a newly promoted team. And the majority of people on here are a little concerned about our defence.

Great that Ulloa scored, but more interested in how he played. Was he just standing up front waiting for service or chasing players down, coming deep to collect the ball and linking up with the midfield?

We are unbelievably bad at defending set pieces. Going to be a real weakness next season.

Yep. Something that we've been struggling defensively with the last couple of seasons and it's not been rectified.

He's not that type of player, and in the premier league you won't get away with two front men chasing everything, his job is to get himself into dangerous areas and score goals. As he did today.

Just got back, was alot better then MK Dons. Rotherham were up for it and it showed first 20 minutes. We settled and started showing abit of quality going forwards and Ulloa first goal he did very well and easy finish for his 2nd. Liam Moore had good solid game, looks very mature these days in defence.

2nd Half we started poor and their goal was coming but was a good thing because we woke up again and started going forward and a well worked 3rd goal started by Tom Hopper and a good cross from Konchesky who put in a few very good crosses tbf.

Decent ground, weird because you can see Millmoor from the new ground. Still with the floodlights and everything.
