Wow! What a thread! Not one single person even considering that this might actually not be a very good signing.

All spaff and ejaculate.

I do hope he goes on to prove a good one (if he joins) or this thread will be written into the archives of excitement with no discussion. Reminds me greatly of the first ever Beckford thread.

If people think he'd be a good signing why would they say he wouldn't be? Strange post Col

You are right we should all be saying the man who played 32 times for Inter is shit and if Pearson etc think he might do a job and do actually want him, we should say NO, you are wrong he's shit.

Just your usual politicians answer. Saying summat that means nowt.

Yes, come on Babs, are you against this.......? Don't you trust the manager to bring in the right players???? lol

But that doesn't mean they were the same people who said we shouldn't break 30k for someone like Ba.

For instance I said we'd never pay £70 a week over 4 years along with a £6m fee. That's massively different to £50k a week over two years.

Sorry If I've missed someone who is actually against this signing posting Babs, probably something to do with 350 posts of people getting pant wettingly excited hiding it.

Pulling a Col, I like that.

Give me your ST reference number I need Everton tickets.

WTF does my ST number have to do with anything? lol

Do. You. Understand. English?

Doesn't have to be Ba, any striker such as Quagerilla (sp) who went for three million would of been fine.

Tickets are on sale to Season ticket holders today so in order to buy one I need a reference number, well actually I need two but I already have one.

EDIT: I'd probably need your name address and DOB as well. So I can see why you might not be comfortable with that.

Although I will promise not to break into your house and rape you. I realize those are just words.

IF and it's a very big IF, the management want him then I back their judgement. I've not sat watching Inter the last year so I have no idea of his current level, but I presume they do. We're all aware of what he was capable of though, and if he's still at half that level he'll be more of an asset than Dean Hammond.

£50k to us is not a bargain, however if we consider that Gareth Barry is/was on a reputed 100k+ at Man City and has signed for 55k a week at Everton then I think many would see that as a fair price in the current market.

As I have said before though I believe we are being used to force the hands of other clubs. Bert aside, most of us acknowledge London is a slightly more attractive prospect so I anticipate any offer from a Premiership London club being viewed more favourably by any player.

Well it is, It's two years of Cambiasso for 5 million all in. Bargin. We've spunked three million more on a buck toothed Championship striker before you even factor in wages.

What, no discussion whatsoever? So everyone is sure that a 34 yr old, who's never played in the Prem, will come in and be 'our biggest ever signing'?

With no discussion? Like I said, its reminiscent of when we were linked with Beckford. Hardly anyone wanted to acknowledge that he might not work.. and defended him resolutely thereafter for months (if not longer).

Cambiasso might be great. For his alleged wages (have we got a cap, or not?) he seems a gamble to me.

But you'll quosh it, like you and others do. Then change your mind like you did on Beckford. Potentially anyway.

In that case we should never be excited by a transfer again. Of course he could come here and be ineffective but on the flip side he could be a pivotal part of us staying up both on and off the field. Every transfer has an element of risk but I have faith in our transfer dealings under NP and his team

Of course nobody is sure, how can you be, how can anyone be. Yes, he could be bloody awful like every single player we can sign... does that make you feel better?

Sky Sports Radio just confirmed an offer has been made for 2 years 5m

Sure they weren't just doing the usual paper talk? Just telling us what the paper have written, or was it their sources?

No one knows a good signing until they start playing for us. Speculating before a move is exactly that. If he bagged 15 goals and 15 assists next season would you have paid double? I would.

You seem to be "pulling a Col" and presuming anyone who said we shouldn't break a wage cap, says we should sign this bloke.

Stop swerving... should we have a wage cap? Yes or no?

If so, should we break it for Cambiasso? Yes or no?

I'll give my answer: Yes

No

There.. whats your opinion?

No, no, no.. you miss the point bud.

It's all spaff and ejaculate... lol where's any discussion about him? Babs gave some stats earlier to be fair. They didn't read that well did they? Or was I reading wrongly?

IF you want to discuss it then discuss it, I already gave you my reasoning a few pages back.

Would a 34 year old Cambiasso, offer us more than 31 year old Dean Hammond in the DM role. The answer I would hazard is yes, thus improving the squad, giving us the extra cm I wanted.

Who on here ever prohibited a discussion about Cambiasso? The discussion is healthy, proven by your constant input (even though you said you'd quit for good for today lol). What universe are you living in?

No, we don't have to

How many Jay Emmanuel-Thomas's could we play out of position though for £50,000 a week?

I don't see how you can put the likes of Beckford (one good season on PL level) on the same stage as a veteran such as Cambiasso, who even at the ripe age of 34, plays on a regular basis and has proven that he can hold up his own on a European stage on a constant basis.

Again, you seem to argue for the sake of argument, indulging yourself in the "antagonist" role.

What would FT be with a bit of spaff and ejaculate? lol

I personally think this could be a very good thing for us in a few different ways.

1) He COULD be a very good player for us and offer us something different

2) There's no doubt he'd be a positive influence on our young players and would provide experience

3) Signing him would put it out there that we are able to sign genuine class. This could benefit us in future deals

4) Could help Ulloa settle in a little better

Posted

Okay, just checking... am I allowed to say I think this would be a good signing or have we had too many of those so far?

If so, I'll pretend I don't think it would be a good signing so that we can have a "discussion".

Let me know.
