Stadt Posted 8 August 2014 Posted 8 August 2014 For a brute of a midfielder who loves a tackle, to have only had one red card in his long career is surprising and very impressive. Get him in, absolute quality! Isn't he only 5'10?
Haydos Posted 8 August 2014 Posted 8 August 2014 I would spaff a bit at a midfield along the lines of... Mahrez - - - - --------- - - - - - - - Knockaert -------------------Drinkwater ------Cambiasso--------------James I really think Drinkwater is in his element in the final third, given a little bit of freedom to get forward he could be even more dangerous.
ROB-THE-BLUE Posted 8 August 2014 Posted 8 August 2014 Would like this to happen.... but who would you drop for him? Drinky or James surely must start in the middle and I can't imagine Cambiasso coming here to play second fiddle?

Dribble.

Oh good god that looks good. Then vardy up as the lone striker yeah? I like ulloa and nugent, but I think vardy would be excellent in that role with those players backing him up.
Babylon Posted 8 August 2014 Posted 8 August 2014 Would like this to happen.... but who would you drop for him? Drinky or James surely must start in the middle and I can't imagine Cambiasso coming here to play second fiddle? He's 34, I'm not sure at that age he'll be expecting to start every week. Chances are he'd start against all the big teams anyway and gets a rest against West Brom etc. Not that I think it'll happen
foxfanazer Posted 8 August 2014 Posted 8 August 2014 Would like this to happen.... but who would you drop for him? Drinky or James surely must start in the middle and I can't imagine Cambiasso coming here to play second fiddle?Wouldn't drop either but I think NP would make it work
maddog Posted 8 August 2014 Posted 8 August 2014 Isn't he only 5'10? Haha its the face, the man looks worthy of a part as a baddie in lord of the rings - no make up required.
foxfanazer Posted 8 August 2014 Posted 8 August 2014 Finally someone to fill the void left by Danny Tiatto!
Stadt Posted 8 August 2014 Posted 8 August 2014 Haha its the face, the man looks worthy of a part as a baddie in lord of the rings - no make up required. I think his name alone would cause problems for the opposition
indierich06 Posted 8 August 2014 Posted 8 August 2014 Like others have said, it's not just that Cambiasso would be a good signing for Leicester - it might start persuading people that we mean business. Let's face it, if you're a prospective signing and you see that the only players we've signed so far are a couple of Man United kids, Old Man Upson, Marc Albrighton and Leo Ulloa, you'd probably question whether the club has the right level of ambition for you. Adding the class and quality of a player like Cambiasso to the squad, who's done it all at the highest level throughout his career, might start persuading a few potential signings that Leicester ARE looking to press on. Think he will be a very shrewd signing for us, especially when players of similar ages, playing similar roles have been so lauded over the past season - I think he'd play a similar role to someone like Gerrard or Barry. Holding midfielder, mopping stuff up and redistributing the ball. Doesn't have to be anything fancy or flash, just functional.
Ric Flair Posted 8 August 2014 Posted 8 August 2014 Isn't he only 5'10? How tall was Barry Fcukin McGuigan?
allotment-fox Posted 8 August 2014 Posted 8 August 2014 might be a good idea to keep a look out at the Aldi store on Aylestone road in case he pops in for his tea bags on the way from the training ground
Haydos Posted 8 August 2014 Posted 8 August 2014 Oh good god that looks good. Then vardy up as the lone striker yeah? I like ulloa and nugent, but I think vardy would be excellent in that role with those players backing him up. I think Vardy is our most dangerous striker. The unfortunate thing about playing with one of front is that it takes away a massive part of our success last year; his partnership with Nugent. Has he ever played up front on his own before? I imagine it could be dangerous but he does lack a presence in holding the ball up.
kingcarr21 Posted 8 August 2014 Posted 8 August 2014 Cant believe i woke up to this rumour. Surely this has got to be bullshit. If this happened it would be absolutely incredible. Just imagine the wealth of knowledge he could pass on to the already impressive Drinkwater and James. Will be very interesting to see if anything materialises
leicesterlad1989 Posted 8 August 2014 Posted 8 August 2014 Sorry if this has already been mentioned but I fell tp sleep reading the 'Arry / QPR comments.... Like others have said, it's not just that Cambiasso would be a good signing for Leicester - it might start persuading people that we mean business. fleckneymike Posted 8 August 2014 Posted 8 August 2014 I suspect we're being used to draw out bigger clubs
Far Post Gerry Posted 8 August 2014 Posted 8 August 2014 Love this policy of signing a few old heads to complement our young squad. Was, Kev and now (please god) Cambiasso. They might not start every game but they've got more than 50 years' playing experience between them! Should be able to teach the likes of Moore and James a few tricks.
Carlos88LCFC Posted 8 August 2014 Posted 8 August 2014 It seems to me that all of our bids are being made public... Who's the snake!? That being said, Cambiasso would be SUPERB! Exactly the type of player we need to sit behind James and Drinky! He is branded as one of the best CM players of this generation. People saying he doesn't have the will/time to adapt to the Prem are crazy. A player that plays CDM doesn't have to adapt... The role/pace of the position is exactly the same where ever you go. The 'Makalelei role'.... When Real Madrid sold Mak I expected Esteban to be the replacement there and thats why they sold Mak becaused Cambiasso is a better player.... Then they sold him to Inter! I was shocked.... This would be the biggest Leicester signing in the history of our club! I am so excited about this one and would now be GUTTED if we didn't pull it off!
Bert Posted 8 August 2014 Posted 8 August 2014 Personally think this is a big smokescreen, and we're gonna sign someone else completely out of the blue.
MC Prussian Posted 8 August 2014 Posted 8 August 2014 Name the 'huge list' of players on huge wages that are still at QPR. Many were signed by Hughes when QPR were a PREMIERSHIP club. Redknapp has binned many of them I believe? Leaving him with a very small squad to have to add to this season. Stop talking out yer arris...!! That wasn't his point, was it?
teblin Posted 8 August 2014 Posted 8 August 2014 Personally think this is a big smokescreen, and we're gonna sign someone else completely out of the blue. Info? or just your opinion?
Nick Posted 8 August 2014 Posted 8 August 2014 Smokescreen for Barton I reckon As in Joey? I'd find that very difficult. I'd probably return my ST - If we required one daft, misguided, outspoken man to ruin our dressing room spirit, he'd be the perfect choice.
