sdb Posted 9 August 2014 Posted 9 August 2014 We were kicking off our first League 1 campaign against MK Dons...
SystonFox Posted 9 August 2014 Posted 9 August 2014 wow. i remember the game. Kerrea Gilbert at right back. whatever happened to him. a second half Fryatt brace to get us rolling i believe? one of them a pen?
AKCJ Posted 9 August 2014 Posted 9 August 2014 I felt so miserable in the first half of that game. You could immediately see the drop in quality. We've come a long way in 6 years. Credit to Nige, Walshy and Shakey.
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 9 August 2014 Posted 9 August 2014 I remember that game, Gradel and Dyer tearing them apart! Doesn't seem like 6 years ago, we've come so far since then.

SystonFox Posted 9 August 2014 Posted 9 August 2014 Think Fryatt scores some time in the first half correct. first half pen actually
Kitchandro Posted 9 August 2014 Posted 9 August 2014 I felt so miserable in the first half of that game. You could immediately see the drop in quality. We've come a long way in 6 years. Credit to Nige, Walshy and Shakey. I quite enjoyed it. Gradel looked very exciting. There's always some optimism on the first day of the season for me.
SystonFox Posted 9 August 2014 Posted 9 August 2014 I quite enjoyed it. Gradel looked very exciting. There's always some optimism on the first day of the season for me. dont; get me wrong i enjoyed it also however it was league one. the lowest ebb in the clubs history. thank god we only spent one year down there
RowlattsFox Posted 9 August 2014 Posted 9 August 2014 I remember the trip to Stockport, a week later I think. That was dire.
Walshy5 Posted 9 August 2014 Posted 9 August 2014 Dont get me wrong id never want to drop down there again but had some great away days that year.
Foxhateram Posted 9 August 2014 Posted 9 August 2014 Was at that game. Dons were awful. Gradel tore them apart. I remember being so excited about his potential at the time. Although saying that he was screaming for the ball out wide on so many occasions but hardly received it.
roger the dodger Posted 9 August 2014 Posted 9 August 2014 cryed like a baby when we went down cryed like a baby when we went up
purpleronnie Posted 9 August 2014 Posted 9 August 2014 I remember the trip to Stockport, a week later I think. That was dire. Now look where stockport are and we are. 5 divisions apart.
Fox92 Posted 9 August 2014 Posted 9 August 2014 Doesn't time fly?! Credit to Nigel and his staff for that season. It's not as easy as what people think, promotion from that level at the first ask, you know, ask Sheffield United, Leeds and Nottingham Forest. Not only did we win promotion, but we romped to the title. I never want to see us at that level again, but it was a great season with some great games and great away days!
Jace Posted 9 August 2014 Posted 9 August 2014 Enjoyed that season more than some of our dreary Championship campaigns
StanSP Posted 9 August 2014 Posted 9 August 2014 Six years. League One to Premier League. Nige needs to win Manager of the Century for that.
ealingfox Posted 9 August 2014 Posted 9 August 2014 Six years. League One to Premier League. Nige needs to win Manager of the Century for that. Lambert and Adkins did it in two....
Night Air Posted 9 August 2014 Posted 9 August 2014 Six years. League One to Premier League. Nige needs to win Manager of the Century for that. Norwich and Southampton did it a bit quicker!
Jace Posted 9 August 2014 Posted 9 August 2014 He might get manager of the century once he has won all 3 leagues though
SystonFox Posted 9 August 2014 Posted 9 August 2014 Now look where stockport are and we are. 5 divisions apart. arent Hereford United even further apart from us? same league back then
