Deeney saga back on

...12m for Deeney!!.. Thank God the idiots rejected that bid... What will he be worth when the Golden Boys are struggling in mid table come Christmas?... What a World apart... We draw against the 5th best team in the Premier League and the Golden Boys get hammered 3-0 at Norwich.. No goals from the 12m+ valued striker then???? Question is... Why on earth would Deeney want to stay will such a small, mediocre club??.... Perhaps because it's the big fish in a small bowl syndrome?... Let's face it, he'd only be a squad player with us in the Big Boys league!!

Why so bitter. Can't you get into your heads we don't want to sell and that's why we're up to 10m plus.

If you had any class as a club you'd just leave us alone. Good result for you today but it's a long season.

it's alright if we do get Deeney in the end, which I for one don't really care either way, Watford can exploit the Loan market which they do very well!

Class as a club, coming from Watford who acted out the Deeney play-off goal when we returned to you?!    We are interested in signing a player and have offered good money for him. Get over yourself!

Sky now saying this big third offer and rejection is wide of the mark and Deeney getting pissed off at Watfords reluctance to sell him........

Sky Sports understands reports that Leicester City have had a third bid for Watford striker Troy Deeney rejected are wide of the mark. The 26-year-old is, however, believed to be growing increasingly frustrated at Watford's reluctance to discuss a sale with interested parties.

Deeney.. Do yourself a favour and put in a transfer request.. Move on from that small minded club, who are going nowhere!... Here's your chance to play in the premier league.. Whether that will be with us or another club!..

I think one would need to look at Deeney's Intsagram/Twitter to see how he really feels about the club. He's quite vocal, and having just been made club captain he should be pretty aware of his future.

As for what the Sky Sports report says about him agreeing to stay on after the play-off final, he actually extended his contract until 2016 some months before then...

Okay, I want him again!

Let's face it, I think every player wants Premier League football at some point, but Deeney said at the end of last season that he'd be happy to stay if we rejected any bids: http://m.watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/11245332.Troy_Deeney_discusses_Watford_s_season_and_his_future/

Things change!.. There are (seemingly) a few premier league clubs interested in signing him right at this moment in time, therefore he obviously feels this is his chance to play at the top level.. By your club rejecting serious amounts of money for him is quite clearly beginning to annoy him and rightly so.. It will only end in one way.. He'll put in a transfer request.. Face it, he'll be gone before the window closes.. Fact!

This has worked out similar to Ulloa so far. The constant speculation, if reports are to be believed, has got to Deeney and he now seems very open to a move. The only hiderances here are the slightly higher asking price and interest from other clubs.

I hope we can get this one done soon as I rate Deeney and think he'd compliment the squad better than Slimani.

I would take what players say with a pinch of salt. They are quite good at saying what fans want to hear and I would be surprised if his head hasn't been turned by playing Premier league football with us.  It's a risk for him not taking a chance like this as he is only one average season or one bad injury away from never getting the chance again.

I do think Watford will be close again this year though so that must be in his thoughts too so probably why he hasn't handed in transfer request etc.

Personally, I think he would do well for us and be a worthwhile purchase although 10-12 million is overpriced.

Good luck at holding on to him but I wouldn't be shocked if he still came here before the end of the window

It may seem a little harsh, but why would he want to stay at Watford. He's not a schoolboy who doesn't want to leave his mates and the standing by him bit is surely not enough as he can justify leaving by getting you millions.

Watford has the appeal to Deeney of ?

A move to a prem team has the appeal of? ........Insert loads of reasons.........................................................................................................................................................................................................

He's going, they always do

Sounds like an agent at work trying to get his man a move.

Fair point about players using the press to be all PR savvy but I am sure by now Deeney would have put a request in if he really did want to go (not even any rumours of unhappiness)

Of course he might feel some gratitude to the fact we kept him despite the criminal conviction which is why there hasn't been any fuss created.

I hope we do still manage to get Deeney but not for the 12 million quoted. He offers something different to what Vardy and Nugent bring to the table.

Personally I think he'd do well in the prem, his strength really scares defenders!
