johnny the fox Posted 13 August 2014 Posted 13 August 2014 Relax, The doc is shining a torch up his arse as we speak, looking for his ability.
weller54 Posted 13 August 2014 Posted 13 August 2014 I remember people were fretting this time last season because we hadn't made enough signings. Many claimed we didn't have enough quality to make the top 6, let alone win the league - just check the Middlesbrough pre-match thread and look at the reaction to our line-up there, absolutely mental. And look what happened. As long as Pearson is confident, I'm confident. This is the Premier League campaign!!.. A world away from starting off in the championship... Let's face it, we have a very fragile squad, especially with injuries already happening before we even start!!.. We desperately need to add some quality and depth!!!

foxoffderby Posted 13 August 2014 Posted 13 August 2014 Similar to the Adam Lallana deal to Liverpool and Bournmouth. This could be the reason Watford are holding out for £10m Taken from the Express and Star Troy Deeney could land Walsall cash windfallWalsall's former striker Troy Deeney could land them a big CASH windfall, it emerged today. Deeney, who plays in the Championship for Watford, is the target of several Premier League clubs and it has emerged the Saddlers could take a cut of any transfer fee. Chief executive Stefan GAMBLE last night confirmed a sell-on clause was inserted in the deal, which saw the striker leave the Banks’s for the Hornets in 2010 for an initial fee of £500,000. The exact details of the clause are not known but Deeney looks like commanding a significant fee with Leicester, who are leading the chase, reportedly having a £7.5m bid rejected. Hull City and Burnley have also been linked with a move.
Marmite Posted 13 August 2014 Posted 13 August 2014 If we want to sign him we better act fast as Hull will no doubt be sniffing. I have a feeling that once we do have a bit accepted there will be a few clubs that will then match that offer and it will be down to Deeney to pick where he wants to go. Maybe we have a slight advantage as he lives in Solihull so closer to Leicester than London and Hull
Grey Fox Posted 13 August 2014 Posted 13 August 2014 If it's a choice of whether to live in Leicester or Hull, we're screwed!

indierich06 Posted 13 August 2014 Posted 13 August 2014 This is the Premier League campaign!!.. A world away from starting off in the championship... Let's face it, we have a very fragile squad, especially with injuries already happening before we even start!!.. We desperately need to add some quality and depth!!! Yep, I've realised that funnily enough. People didn't think we had the quality last season, but we did. People don't think we've got the quality this season because we're an unknown quantity. Well, we'll see what happens, but Pearson deserves our trust. And there isn't a lot of difference in having a squad good enough to win the Championship and one good enough to avoid relegation from the PL. Outside the top 6/7, it's all very scrappy and anyone is capable of beating anyone. If we end up signing Cambiasso and Deeney (looking very likely) I'll personally be quite happy. I've got a lot of faith in these boys, and anyone who doesn't after witnessing what happened last season wants their head looking at.
Marmite Posted 13 August 2014 Posted 13 August 2014 Just a thought but if we do sign him are you still going to have that avatar of Pearson sticking the nut on him ? Maybe I can see in the future, Deeney will shag his daughter and Pearson will head but him on the training pitch
PAPA LAZAROU Posted 13 August 2014 Posted 13 August 2014 Maybe I can see in the future, Deeney will shag his daughter and Pearson will head but him on the training pitch He'll head but you if he hears you talking about his daughter in that way ! Anyway she would have to be desperate have you seen Deeney's face ?
Kitchandro Posted 13 August 2014 Posted 13 August 2014 The squad may need adding to but we have til the end of August, plus the loan windows. I'm confident we'll sign another striker and midfielder. It's the defence I'm concerned about.

It's the defence I'm concerned about. there isn't a loan window in the Prem unfortunately. all deals, loan or permanent need to be done by 31st August. But still there is plenty of time. In an ideal world it would be great to have all our targets signed up pre season so they have time to trian and play with the rest of the players but that never happens. as long as we don't panic buy on transfer deadline day and pay over the odds for players that are not good enough then I'm happy with the progress we're making with the likes of Cambiasso and hopefully Deeney.
indierich06 Posted 13 August 2014 Posted 13 August 2014 This is turning into a Saga ! I'm going to need a ****ing saga holiday by the time this transfer is complete!
Grey Fox Posted 13 August 2014 Posted 13 August 2014 I'm going to need a ****ing saga holiday by the time this transfer is complete! Didn't have you down as a Cuchu?
Kitchandro Posted 13 August 2014 Posted 13 August 2014 there isn't a loan window in the Prem unfortunately. all deals, loan or permanent need to be done by 31st August. What?! Oh shit! PANIC!
The Doctor Posted 13 August 2014 Posted 13 August 2014 If it's a choice of whether to live in Leicester or Hull, we're screwed! I doubt it - hull is an absolute shit-tip.
indierich06 Posted 13 August 2014 Posted 13 August 2014 Didn't have you down as a Cuchu? I'm not, but I will be by the time Troy Deeney signs on the dotted line.
Lambert09 Posted 13 August 2014 Posted 13 August 2014 I want Deeney, but we dont need him. We need defenders!!!!!
