Deeney saga back on

FFS. I was hoping we'd get Deeney. He's a bit pricey but I think out of all the strikers we've been linked with he'd compliment the squad the most.

I'd rather just stump up the £10mil that Watford wanted to get someone who has the right attributes and a good record in English football than spend a good £7-8mil on an import from a foreign league, like Slimani, N'Doye etc.. Whilst I don't doubt that players like Slimani could be a good fit I think, despite the cheaper price tag, they represent more of a risk as we don't know how well they'll adapt.

Can't fault his commitment to be fair. He clearly feels Watford will be promoted this season.

Wouldn't be surprised if there was a clause in his contract should they not get promoted.

Good luck to him, on to someone else.

Said on SSN a minute ago that we had scouts watching him on Tuesday so doesnt seem dead yet.

We only ever ask for the price of Deeney I have been told. He was plan B to Ulloa.

No ambition, why stay at a small club like Watford?!

They stuck by him when he could of been thrown to the wolves, i guess he's thinking....

If he stays he gets told he has no ambition, if he would of left he'll be called disloyal for leaving a club who stuck by him.

Im not poking fun at you, its just how the football world works, i guess...

People moan about lack of loyalty when players jump ship.

Can't have it both ways.

Yep... He's signed a four year sentence at Vicarage Road.... Why???????????????????????????

Because he's deluded enough to think Watford are on to big things when in actual fact they are not. They are really not.

Or maybe he is just a loyal player and enjoys playing for them, fair play to him if you ask me

Or that and I agree, nice to see some loyalty in the game when the big dogs come sniffing around the chihuahuas.
