Brenfox Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 Didn't want him. Good player just didn't like his face.
Steven Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 Set to sign a new contract with Watford according to Sky Sports News. Sky Sports News HQ @SkySportsNewsHQ 3m Sky Sources: Troy Deeney to sign new contract at Watford in next 24 hours #SSNHQ Deeney = no ambition
LCCFox96 Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 FFS. I was hoping we'd get Deeney. He's a bit pricey but I think out of all the strikers we've been linked with he'd compliment the squad the most. I'd rather just stump up the £10mil that Watford wanted to get someone who has the right attributes and a good record in English football than spend a good £7-8mil on an import from a foreign league, like Slimani, N'Doye etc.. Whilst I don't doubt that players like Slimani could be a good fit I think, despite the cheaper price tag, they represent more of a risk as we don't know how well they'll adapt.
fox123 Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 Can't fault his commitment to be fair. He clearly feels Watford will be promoted this season. Wouldn't be surprised if there was a clause in his contract should they not get promoted. Good luck to him, on to someone else.
NewquayFox Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 Has he got any mates? They will do get them in.....
CosbehFox Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 Said on SSN a minute ago that we had scouts watching him on Tuesday so doesnt seem dead yet. We only ever ask for the price of Deeney I have been told. He was plan B to Ulloa.
PAPA LAZAROU Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 Has he got any mates? They will do get them in..... yes they helped him beat senseless some students.
Banks Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 No ambition, why stay at a small club like Watford?!
MPH Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 No ambition, why stay at a small club like Watford?! They stuck by him when he could of been thrown to the wolves, i guess he's thinking.... If he stays he gets told he has no ambition, if he would of left he'll be called disloyal for leaving a club who stuck by him. Im not poking fun at you, its just how the football world works, i guess...
CosbehFox Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 His agent played the game well. Tell the papers we are making numerous bids, throw in QPR and Burnley. All pressure to push through a new deal.
RizLCFC Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 He's showing loyalty to Watford, you hardly get that in football anymore, fair play to him.
Fox92 Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 No ambition, why stay at a small club like Watford?! People moan about lack of loyalty when players jump ship. Can't have it both ways.
HowardsBulletHeader Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 No ambition, why stay at a small club like Watford?! If you were a Watford fan, you would be admiring his commitment, simply depends which side of the saga you're on.
The whole world smiles Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 Nice to see a bit of loyalty to a club in modern football, I like troy Deeney showed a lot of class after he knocked us out of the play offs, good luck to him.
weller54 Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 Yep... He's signed a four year sentence at Vicarage Road.... Why???????????????????????????
MHC Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 Yep... He's signed a four year sentence at Vicarage Road.... Why??????????????????????????? Because he's deluded enough to think Watford are on to big things when in actual fact they are not. They are really not.
davelcfc100 Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 Because he's deluded enough to think Watford are on to big things when in actual fact they are not. They are really not.Or maybe he is just a loyal player and enjoys playing for them, fair play to him if you ask me
MHC Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 Or maybe he is just a loyal player and enjoys playing for them, fair play to him if you ask me Or that and I agree, nice to see some loyalty in the game when the big dogs come sniffing around the chihuahuas.
johnny the fox Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 Great.. Deeney is small time.............. at least we all know.... Im happy with that knowledge...
