Tielemans63 Posted 13 August 2014 Posted 13 August 2014 From SSN 17:06 Watford head coach Beppe Sannino has refused to be drawn on the future of in-demand striker Troy Deeney. "I am head coach. Troy Deeney for me is a big player for Watford but this question is not for me. I am not manager, I am head coach and I am very happy to have Troy playing with me." Dirty bastards. Sounds like Beppe and Troy have a slightly inappropriate relationship.

silebyboy Posted 13 August 2014 Posted 13 August 2014 What's the point of even having rep points? Do people really give a shit about them?
MGLCFC Posted 13 August 2014 Posted 13 August 2014 What's the point of even having rep points? Do people really give a shit about them? Don't even know what they are

Blanchy Posted 13 August 2014 Posted 13 August 2014 Mate at work Watford season ticket reckons he's the dogs. Definitely worth the 10 being mentioned. Horrible in ya face with some great ability and finishing. Very popular with fans and teammates.
Carl the Llama Posted 13 August 2014 Posted 13 August 2014 What's the point of even having rep points? Do people really give a shit about them? You would say that, Mr 20 points.
silebyboy Posted 13 August 2014 Posted 13 August 2014 You would say that, Mr 20 points. 20 more than I thought I had.
fox123 Posted 13 August 2014 Posted 13 August 2014 Hope these ITK's are going to be making lots of profit from this... 23:59 Tue 02 Sep Troy Deeney to sign for before 2nd September 2014 Outright - Specials Hull2/1 QPR4/1 Leicester6/1 http://www.betvictor.com/sports/en/football-specials/transfer-specials/coupons/982100/58041110/518925900/0/0/PE/0/0/0/0/0
Vlad the Fox Posted 13 August 2014 Posted 13 August 2014 What's the point of even having rep points? Do people really give a shit about them? For every 1000 rep points you get you can print out a token to spend at asda. Five tokens gets you a mug.
foxfan92 Posted 13 August 2014 Posted 13 August 2014 I wish these journalists would make up their mind 2 hours ago I was reading how Bruce had had second thoughts about making a bit ... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2724320/Troy-Deeney-set-replace-Shane-Long-Hull-make-fresh-10m-Watford-striker.html
Daveaway Posted 14 August 2014 Posted 14 August 2014 Reports that Deeney is off to Hull, is it lucky he is or are we going to regret not signing him in the long run!!
TrentFox Posted 14 August 2014 Posted 14 August 2014 Hull linked with Wellbeck today, too, in papers.
Carlos88LCFC Posted 14 August 2014 Posted 14 August 2014 Reports that Deeney is off to Hull, is it a lucky he is or are we going to regret not signing him in the long run!! I think if both clubs have offers accepted and its up to him. We are in with a shot... Hull might look better on paper at the moment (as a team) but its about our ambition and what we are looking to do at the club in the long term and if he wants to be a part of it. Plus hull want Welbeck & Bedtner as well... I'm gonna stick 100 quid on us to get him!
weller54 Posted 14 August 2014 Posted 14 August 2014 Forget Deeney.. He won't be coming to us!!!!!.....
Carlos88LCFC Posted 14 August 2014 Posted 14 August 2014 Forget Deeney.. He won't be coming to us!!!!!..... Hull City are reportedly preparing a move for England international Danny Welbeck and have asked Manchester United about the striker's availability, according to the Mail. Welbeck's role under Louis van Gaal has yet to be determined although the forward may need convincing a move to East Yorkshire is right for him. I think Welbeck will be available. They won't want to bring both Deeney & Welbeck... I think?
Thracian Posted 14 August 2014 Posted 14 August 2014 We seem to be so laboured in our transfer dealings and while it might seem there's a good while to go before the window closes we're fast running out of time because, not matter how good our team spirit and how great our confidence, we badly need reinforcements. As the shirt says: Just Do It. .

As the shirt says: Just Do It. . You base this on what exactly? We have to realise we are not the dream move of the class of players we are trying to sign. We are also offering sensible wages by the sounds of it, not whatever it takes to get the players to sign quickly. Of course players will take their time to consider their options.

As the shirt says: Just Do It. . I agree.. When we got automatic promotion I remember NP saying it gives us the edge with transfer targets as 'we can get business done early '!!!...hmm, no evidence of this at all apart from a couple of free (squad player) signings, two of which are now injured, and Upson looks months away from contributing anything!!... Any signings now won't have the benefit of preseason bonding /conditioning.. To be honest our new signings policy looks to have been a disaster and could cost us very heavily!

At the end of the day you cant buy the players you want if their clubs wont sell to you or the sales are conditional on them buying replacements - it will be sorted -relax

Look at the Deeney fiasco, this has been going on for weeks.. If we had bid want they wanted 6weeks ago he'd be here now.. With Mccormack going for 11/12m, clearly Watford were not going to accept 6.5m for Deeney!!.. Wasted time and now the delay has put other premier league clubs in the frame who WILL pay the money... Deeney will go somewhere else for close to Mccormack 's fee!!

With David Luiz going for 50 mill surely they won't accept 10 mill for Deeney... Your logic is flawed! Man Utd haven't really set the transfer market on fire yet, they will do. We are not signing 10 first team players like we used to. We have a system, we have players that know the system and with 1 or 2 additions its not like the whole foundation of the team is going to crumble. Just because we are not throwing cash at players (Liverpool - Carrol) panic buy scenario, doesn't mean we are doing things wrong. Be patient, we have a good squad as it is now and with 2-3 more players added, they will settle in just fine.
