Head Honcho Posted 19 August 2014 Posted 19 August 2014 Watched the french film 36 Quai des Orfèvres in it's original format and one of the best films I've seen. Watched it dubbed into English and it's one of the worst.

Guest Basildon Fox Posted 19 August 2014 Posted 19 August 2014 Football film ID - Shadwell Army!! Also any On the Buses. Cringeworthy sexism and ugly birds being perved over by people who would probably be on the sex offenders list these days. What's not to like.
Captain... Posted 19 August 2014 Posted 19 August 2014 Football film ID - Shadwell Army!! Also any On the Buses. Cringeworthy sexism and ugly birds being perved over by people who would probably be on the sex offenders list these days. What's not to like. ID is an awesome film, do people think it is crap? This is what makes this topic so hard, I don't think any of the films I like are crap, so I don't know if they are crap films or not. It got 81% on Rotten Tomatoes, so I'm not sure why you like it yet think it is crap?
leicsmac Posted 20 August 2014 Posted 20 August 2014 Dungeons and Dragons. Utterly horriffic acting and screenplay...but it's so much fun.

bovril Posted 22 August 2014 Posted 22 August 2014 Haven't read through the whole of the thread so not sure if it's been mentioned but... Prince Of Thieves remains one of all time favourites despite being rather panned. Terrible acting and iffy dialogue (especially the Bli-Me moment from Christian Slater), but the photography and score and both absolutely superb. The Michael Kamen soundtrack still makes my hair stand up on end there are some gorgeously shot sequences. I remember watching it in a cinema in Plymouth and the whole audience erupting in spontaneous applause when Sean Connery rides in at the end. Could watch it a million times!
