I'm with pSinatra, I love Flash Gordon, as awful as it is lol

My favourite awful fillm is Ghosts of Mars. Just so bad but I keep wanting to watch it. If I'm at home and have nothing to do, I flip on Ghosts of Mars every now and then.

I spent a great deal of my youth watching every film I could get my hands on, including some shitty films, but 'love' would be a strong word, but I could list hundreds that entertained me, even fleetingly. I was a fan of horror, so have seen nearly every crap film in that genre.

I think that any films of the Snakes on a plane so bad it's good have to be discounted. Likewise anything that you watch ironically.

One film I loved and would happily watch again without a hint of irony is Tank Girl. Generally slated by the critics, even remember taking it round a mates and getting stoned and watching it and he thought it was a piece of shit. I was genuinely puzzled by all negative comments and I still am. Great film.

I used to own a film called The Rat. A most bizarre Irish 'comedy'

It starred Pete posselthwaite (sp!?) Who was the dad of a family ( set in 1970s Dublin) who suddenly one day turned into a rat. Now this was a great inconvenience to his son who wanted to become a Catholic Priest and was told it wouldn't look good on the church to have a priest that had a rat as a father. So he had plans to do away with him. It was also an inconvenience to his wife who needed his help with their ever so slightly wayward daughter who now had a boyfriend. Incidently his wife was also most put out that he would no longer eat his Sunday dinner and insisted he could not leave the table until he'd cleaned the plate.

So they turned to wise Uncle Matthew for advice ,in a brilliant bit of casting, played by Frank Kelly ( father Jack).

He advised the family that their rat-dad needed to be with his own kind and should be ' set free' at the local maggot factory. So that's what they did but they made sure to tell him that should he come to his senses there was some bus fare home tucked In to the front pocket of a suit left behind a bush. So his wife gave him a kiss goodbye and threw him over the wall.

However he did eventually come to his senses and returned home as a human daddy and everyone lived happily ever after.
