Konchesky

many have doubted him, but over the first 2 games hes been solid, fair enough he slowed a bit for the last 15 today, but overall felt he has done a great job so far, deserves a lot of credit

Agreed. His experience has shown and he's actually performed better in two very tough games then in most matches last year for me.

I honestly can't fault any of our players so far in the first two games - quite the contrary.

Konchesky, King and Hammond have been brilliant - all players that many had written off before the season.

So proud. Great start. Just need to push on. Watching Everton - Arsenal and genuinely think we could do them next Sunday.

Yep him and Hammond have had a great start to the season.

Surprised me, in a good way, whereas RDL has surprised me the other way, I expected him to be brilliant, one of our key, main players, but he hasn't done much yet - i'm not slagging him off, just stating fact, i'm gonna give him time to bed in in the Premiership, i'm not saying don't play him but I expected him to be better than he has so far.

Spot on for me. I doubted his ability to step up two months ago, I'm glad he has proven me wrong. He seemed a lovely bloke when I met him (briefly) and seems like a model professional, I'm sure a few of the other players look up to him.

To be fair konchesky has always been solid enough defensively so the two games we have has suit him. It's when he has to provide an attacking threat he struggles.

Solid professional.

By all accounts De Laet had a good game today.

I believe if we have defensive problems as a collective unit this season, it will be more on the right side than the left.

Konch has been very solid in these first two games. It does seem that both oppositions so far have targeted De Laet's side so it would be interesting to see how he'd cope if he was the focal point of the opposition attacks. Nontheless, so far so good.

I think Konch looked a lot worse last year because we were going forward so much, and that's not really his game. When he's sitting back and focusing on defending it looks like he can do a job for us this year. You know, on 2 games worth of evidence.

I was critical of his distribution last year but the last two games it has been spot on.

I'd never thought I'd say this but RDL has looked the chump over the other side when it comes to distribution so far.

So much for 'not good enough for the championship' 'legs have gone' 'crap' 'liverpool reject' 'can't pass'

I've often said Konsheky could be vital in this division due to his experience

But as with Hammond, this I told you so crap is embarrassing. Your just as bad as the people who write players off after two bad performances if your labeling either as the second coming, after two games, in which we've got a solitary point for all this huffing and puffing.

Not to take anything away from either they've undoubtedly had two good games.
