Cat Burger Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 Outside media have been avoided at all costs by the club, all of the talks are taking place where they can't follow, anything reported since the weekend is a wild guess. True, does anyone suspect the information is a last ditch attempt by the representatives to have someone 'swoop' in at the last minute and pinch themselves an extra few grand? I think it seems likely myself! Vultures!
johnny the fox Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 http://www.espnfc.co.uk/story/2003459/inter-milan-exit-still-hurts-esteban-cambiasso? The myth speaks, only wants 1 year.
lgfualol Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 He wont be very happy when he doesnt have a club because his agents are *****
foxoffderby Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 1 year contract that says to me Im not happy coming here im only in it for the money.
Jace Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 The reason why its changed from 2 year contract to 1 year is its going to take around 1 year to sort out
Callabinho Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 1 year contract that says to me Im not happy coming here im only in it for the money. Doubt it, the concern seems to be if we go down, obviously signing a two year deal could leave him in limbo, we would expect him to see out his contract unless a clause could be drawn up, but who would want to pay for his services at 34? It's delicate, I think is the best way to describe it, he's spent 10 years in Italy and this move needs to be right, money isn't the main issue hence why most of his representatives are his family, it needs to suit all parties, if it doesn't, then it won't happen simple.
Giggsy77 Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 Wait for NP to clarify it, I dont believe half the crap written in the media. I wait for the BBC, Leics Merc or NP himself why listen to all the crap written elsewhere. None of us know the details, so just wait for official sources to update us.
Carlos88LCFC Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 Could he just not have a clause to terminate his contract if we get relegated? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

But the article says were ever he goes. He doesn't say hes coming here there maybe other offers on the table. He could be going to Spain for example Athletico were mentioned a week ago and they are not a relegation candidate. That is what that concerns me he wants 1 year contract one last big payday and then hes off.
Max Power Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 If was in it for the money he wouldn't be contemplating a move to bloody Leicester
maxwelld_ Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 He could be doing a Philips and only want one more year of football before potential coaching. Also he would get a better salary deal on a one year and presents less risk to him and the club. We need midfielders and times running out !
Giggsy77 Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 Anyone can write this crap, so again wait for official sources close to lcfc to say whats happening.
UpTheLeagueFox Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 It will probably be a two year contract but there will only be a second year if it suits both parties at the end of the season

Jace Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 If the term of the contract was being changed from 2 years to 1 year that doesn't indicate hes after 1 big last pay off quite the opposite

Deucalion Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 I've been pretty neutral and patient on this so far but I think it's time to put it to bed. Rather than paying a big-name player huge wages for a short amount of time, it might be better for the club to spend a transfer fee for a younger player who can develop and fit in with the general ethos of the club. My mind is changed, it would be better to get someone else rather than Cambiasso.

ktfox59 Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 He has always said that big bones are the problem. Ones with meat and gravy attached.. Thankyou Ricky Gervais To be fair to GTF, Some players are just big boned...
Benji Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 http://www.sempreinter.com/2014/08/26/cambiasso-the-agreement-with-leicester-falls-through-the-reason/? Could be wrong but looks like another one of these "young lad becomes football journalist overnight" websites.
Deucalion Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 What happened to Pearson being hopeful? I read that as the transfer is likely to happen too, but we were both wrong, and maybe Pearson was too? Could be wrong but looks like another one of these "young lad becomes football journalist overnight" websites. Unless we are getting carried away by unsubstantiated reporting.
Deucalion Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 Here's a new story which assumes he is signing for Leicester, but it is probably based on the stories we have been reading rather than new information. http://hereisthecity.com/en-gb/2014/08/26/5-reasons-why-tottenham-could-regret-missing-out-on-cambiasso/?
