Bamba's Babes Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 Out of these strikers that we have been linked with, which would you prefer?
BenKimberlin Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 Deeney out of that list if it was absolutely essential but I dont think we need one.
Guest Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 Who the f*** is voting for Slimani based on, er, not much apart from a couple of game this summer. even his highlights don't look that great.
DallasFox Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 Slimani. His speed on breakaways like the one Nugent had against Chelsea would be a value add. His international and world cup experience will be another benefit against the multinational defenders (mertesacker etc) we will run into. Teaming up with Mahrez is another plus.

AyewJoking Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 I'm not saying Deeney would cut the mustard in the Premiership but if Pearson really believed Deeney was good enough then wheres the harm in paying say 10 million when if he does well and helps us stay up it will be a bargain?
KentyLCFC Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 Tough to say really because I think we need to improve in centre midfield and in defence before we get another striker. But my pick would be wickham regardless, best out the lot imo
lc4lcfc Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 If I had to choose id pick wickham but there are other areas we need. I'd love to see an attacking midfielder with an eye for goal to come in. Against the lesser teams in the league, it'd give us more of a threat if he were to interchange with say knockaert and mahrez in a 4-5-1. We have plenty of strikers (varying in quality granted) but an attacking midfielder to essentially do the job nugent has adopted, would give us more options.
STUHILL Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 Deeney out of that list but that seems to have gone very quiet I do think we need another striker Slimani probably most likely due to him wanting to leave his club etc and our rumoured interest
Fox42 Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 A striker is the least priority. Therefore, I'm saying we don't need one.
Bayfox Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 I hear torres is available but wants to stay in england not move to milan. sure he could commute.
Finnegan Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 I'd take Vardy being fit all season over signing any of those. If they were our options then I'd go for Slimani or maybe Wickham. The "based on what?" comments are frankly stupid. How many of you are Watford season ticket holders? You'll have seen a few highlight shows of Deeney playing against Championship sides. He has no more premiership experience than anyone else on the list and most of Foxes Talk will have watched maybe one or two full games of his at most. It's all speculation based on the best of the information available.
ROB-THE-BLUE Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 Wickham would be my preference but I don't think he'd come here. Second choice would be Deeney but the price tag is obscene. The rest are a bit meh for me but in NP I trust!
Fox92 Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 Never seen any of them play apart from Wickham and Deeney, and I'm not voting those two because we've already got a player like that in Ulloa. No point in buying Wickham/Deeney then playing one of them up front with Ulloa. Two target men.
Monsell1976 Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 Don't know enough about most of them, don't want to give Watford that amount of money for deeney, wickham isn't that great but for the right price, maybe.
LCCFox96 Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 It's got to be Deeney from that list. Imo he has all the attributes we are crying out for in a striker; his pace and strength combined with his work rate and good finishing are surely exactly what we are looking for? His goal scoring record speaks for itself, which none of the other strikers can really claim at this point in their careers.

Bamba's Babes Posted 27 August 2014 Author Posted 27 August 2014 Deeney not coming N'Doye looks likely An unknown European also interesting us
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 Slimani is pacey, so I would plump for him.
