Leicester's next England player?

Dier is predominantly a RB, isn't he?

And Lawrence is welsh lol

Always played at CB for England U21, Jenkinson/Browning at RB.

Only played for Spurs at RB this season because he was shifted there after Naugton was sent off against West Ham (started at CB with Kaboul) and stayed there ever since.

Oh right, seems very comfortable there though which is quite refreshing

Said for a long while now Matty James and Danny Drinkwater, I mentioned it in a few England threads.

I've asked for a price on either of these two to be called up for England within the next year no repose as of yet from William Hill.

Can we please win one game in the PL before we start discussing which Leicester players will make up the England team this time next year?

Ah good point... Although the rules seem to change on a daily basis but I'm assuming under 21's is too late to play for a different senior country?

Nope, Victor Moses was an England Under 21 but went on to play for Nigeria. I think (think) you can't switch allegiances once you've played a FIFA recognised competetive international at senior level.

I think james, dd and vardy all have the potential. however just don't see woy having the bottle to pick vardy.

james I think has a chance if we play a system that really suits a holding player.

dd will have to upstage barkley or wilshire to stand a chance.

so for me liam moore is the standout. only has to be better than jags, jones and smalling. which he already is.

Wasn't capped whilst at us (as far as I can remember) but was definitely called up for the squad at the Euros in Portugal.

Correct, Carl Jenkinson and Wilfried Zaha can still play for Finland and Ivory Coast, respectively, because the only game they have played for England so far is against Sweden in a friendly.

In fact, Diego Costa was capped for Brazil 2 times before he changed allegiance and decided to play for Spain instead.

I know where you're coming from and it might be another ten years. But it's one of the things we can think about a bit more now we're back on the national radar and England are rebuilding.

I'd love to see vardy or drinky playing for England, they're more than capable but sadly it won't happen. If woy plays someone like vardy and he misses an open chance or makes a cock up, the media will rip hodgsen to bits for fielding a player who was in non league a few years ago, so he takes the safe option.

Any of them based on this.

I am sure you meant this as a joke,

but seriously ?

I would love James, Drinkwater, Vardy, Moore to be given a chance. They look better than some of the team on show tonight.

I am a Leicester supporter first, but I have been to a few England games home and abroad over the years and I would love to see England win something in the next 10-20 yrs.

At the moment, England looks it's worst in my 53 yrs I've been kicking around.

Last season I asked PP for odds on Liam getting a call up but wouldn't give me any, they did give 16/1 on NP being England manager before he's 60 though!!

Liam Moore. And all this negativity about playing for Leicester cheeses me off. Let's see how high we climb and how consistent we get. Ambition is down to ourselves really and there are good signs lately.

This and the fact that he's not on the same level as Rooney/Welbeck/Sturridge/Lambert.

Was Ian Walker the last capped whilst at Leicester?

I was going to say I'm pretty sure it was him. I think it was when England played at the (then) Walkers. Might be wrong about that.
