johnny the fox Posted 6 September 2014 Posted 6 September 2014 Did you know that away teams won't accept any food or drink supplied by the club before the game. that's because I usually piss in it.. Im unabashed
Fox42 Posted 6 September 2014 Posted 6 September 2014 Am I right in thinking no false pillar = no promotion?
PAULCFC Posted 6 September 2014 Posted 6 September 2014 Am I right in thinking no false pillar = no promotion? Could well have been the pillars doing...just imagine Harry twitching on one side then the other.
DB11 Posted 6 September 2014 Posted 6 September 2014 I had a tour at Anfield a few years ago and there the away changing room was bigger so the manager had to shout, and there was a vent that led through to the home dressing room so they could hear what was being said Also the floor in the home one was "anti slip" for the boots but not in the away one.
VLC86 Posted 6 September 2014 Posted 6 September 2014 I actually thought this was common knowledge Sorry, people on here are very idiot.
Greatness_Since_1884 Posted 6 September 2014 Posted 6 September 2014 I had a tour at Anfield a few years ago and there the away changing room was bigger so the manager had to shout, and there was a vent that led through to the home dressing room so they could hear what was being said Also the floor in the home one was "anti slip" for the boots but not in the away one. Would that not mean Away team can hear the Home team as well?
brookfox Posted 6 September 2014 Posted 6 September 2014 My random stadium tour facts. The home dug out seats are heated but the away ones aren't. Micky Adams requested the home dressing room bath and now Kasper has a soak before every home game!
I blame Wellens Posted 6 September 2014 Posted 6 September 2014 Apparently the stadium was built on an old Indian burial ground.
Fox_in_a_Box Posted 6 September 2014 Posted 6 September 2014 Apparently they water the pitch with the tears of the supporters and they've collect enough to last 10 years.
Sir Fynwy Posted 6 September 2014 Posted 6 September 2014 My wife was one of the official tour guides at Filbert Street and then for the first few seasons at the KP, best bit was the free carvery I had supplied by the club every Sunday just for driving her to the stadium to do her tours.
MPH Posted 6 September 2014 Posted 6 September 2014 I have shared this before, but around every entrance to the home team dressing room , the Thais had a yellow line painted on the ground. Being Buddhists, they believe in good luck a lot and they believe this traps in the good luck, apparently. They did not paint the yellow lines in the away team dressing room.
lavrentis Posted 6 September 2014 Posted 6 September 2014 total club manager 2004 told me that its built on a natural spring
cc_star Posted 6 September 2014 Posted 6 September 2014 Good fact Only stadium tour I've ever been on was the Camp Nou, now that is a shithole
brisfox Posted 6 September 2014 Author Posted 6 September 2014 The stadium was actually built on a former electric generation plant and gas works that was bombed by the Germans during the blitz. The bombers also dropped a bomb through the roof of the nearby Filbert St stadium main stand.
FoxesAreBlue Posted 6 September 2014 Posted 6 September 2014 I used to do the catering to the players/media/refs/ball boys/photographers at the KP (then Walkers) - and we did provide food to the away team obviously that may have changed now. Cardiff always bought their own pre prepared meals that we had to heat up for them in this weird portable oven on wheels that we switched on in the 2nd half and we'd drop it in just before the final whistle.
fleckneymike Posted 6 September 2014 Posted 6 September 2014 I may have missed the news story but does anyone know why we have the ring of flags around the inside of the stadium back wall?
Filbert_Ross Posted 6 September 2014 Posted 6 September 2014 Good fact Only stadium tour I've ever been on was the Camp Nou, now that is a shithole Yeah same. Like a building site or something. Electrical cables all on show all over the place.
Adster Posted 6 September 2014 Posted 6 September 2014 I never knew this. That's because it was that.
jammie82uk Posted 6 September 2014 Posted 6 September 2014 I may have missed the news story but does anyone know why we have the ring of flags around the inside of the stadium back wall? They was put there for the Doncaster game
