brisfox Posted 5 September 2014 Posted 5 September 2014 Just been for a tour of the stadium, thanks to my friend George. He showed us the changing rooms. The away dressing room is about 1/3 rd of the size of the home one. Also there is a false pillar in the middle of the away dressing room who's sole purpose apparently is to stop the away manager from standing in the middle of the room and speaking to all the team at the same time. An interesting piece of psychology.if you ever do the tour, check it out.
Soar Fox Posted 5 September 2014 Posted 5 September 2014 Did you know that away teams won't accept any food or drink supplied by the club before the game.

lestajigs Posted 5 September 2014 Posted 5 September 2014 Explains why we used to come out better second half
sylofox Posted 5 September 2014 Posted 5 September 2014 Can they not screw huge dildo's on every seat so the players can't sit doww?
PerfumePonce Posted 5 September 2014 Posted 5 September 2014 I like that. One of those things I'll end up telling my mates in the pub, but they won't really care.

Soar Fox Posted 5 September 2014 Posted 5 September 2014 did you also know when we hosted the jamaica v brazil friendly brazil got the away dressing room. Who got the away changing rooms in the 2006 conference playoff final?

An interesting piece of psychology.if you ever do the tour, check it out. My son was a mascot a couple of seasons ago and the tour guide said similar things. In fact most away changing rooms are inferior to to home ones. I've been in the Derby ground and the away end is smaller than the home one.
Brooksy Posted 5 September 2014 Posted 5 September 2014 Must have pissed the Villa side off the last time we were in the prem.
Jace Posted 5 September 2014 Posted 5 September 2014 Wasn't the home and away changing rooms swapped over before as a pyschological change to bring them in closer together or am I thinking of a different ground?
Jakemoore Posted 5 September 2014 Posted 5 September 2014 I like that. One of those things I'll end up telling my mates in the pub, but they won't really care.This.
foxoffderby Posted 5 September 2014 Posted 5 September 2014 Wasn't the home and away changing rooms swapped over before as a pyschological change to bring them in closer together or am I thinking of a different ground? I think that may of been somewhere else. From what I remember the away one is in a L shape so the away team can not be spoken to at the same time if the manager stands in the middle.

The away dressing room is an L shape ,with a bloody great "supporting pillar "in the middle.Went on the tour last season and Jim was the tour guide....the "supporting pillar" supports nothing,as the op said it is there so the away teams manager or whoever can't see all the players at the same time.
