Was clearly at fault for their second goal.

What keeper stands to the right of his goal mouth when you know a left footer will only curl it to your left as you face him.

What a dick............

Tell me, Wallace was the only Burnley player who was lined up in a position to take the kick.

If Kasper had set up the wall to defend the other corner, and he had placed himself on the other side.

THE LEFT FOOT theory goes out of the window.

Being a leftfooter doesnt mean you kick to your right, usually like penalty takers you swap and change your choice, so

from the point of view of the Wallace being the taker, doesnt play any roll at all.

Though like you I believe it was a poor set up defending this kick, being right or left footed in todays football is irrelevant.

Plus just throwing in another take on it.

Kasper wanted to see the ball being kicked, anywhere else he would of been unsighted, he would of even less time of

reacting if he gambled not seeing it and depending on pure reaction. So what do you do in such a position, if had hit the post or

Kasper had saved it, or Wallace blasted it over the bar, OR Kasper stood in the middle, and got caught flat footed, and didnt move. cos he just didnt see it.Many posts would have taken another direction.

In every game, even with top goalkeeping performances, like yesterday there were 10 outfield players who must be failing and making mistakes, before the ball even reaches the back of the net.

I have seen Banks, Shilton, and Wallington also make terrible dongas of errors.

Why oh why do we need to crucify any of our players, we over analyse every small mistake, and game changing descisions.

We believe we should all be like Patton and kick the Sh#t out of the guilty, and question every descision.

only 7 games gone, witchfinder general commitee already running avoc, wanting to set up every player, to be harangued by,

the Spanish Inquisition.

As a whole I'll stand up for him but don't try and defend him for that goal, he made a mistake I think anyone with half a brain cell can tell you that.

,

It wasn't even the fact he was to one side, it was how far over he was, no need to be that far away from the center of the goal.

Even Ross Wallace said he couldn't believe how much of the goal he had to aim at post match, perfectly set up for his left foot.

Hammer would have been a better choice for Palace a team of giants, he is taller and can cope with set pieces better, the Burnley freekick was just a very poor mistake not really acceptable for a Prem Keeper but it happens, wouldnt drop him for the Newcastle game though

Hamer is smaller than Kasper.

It might have helped if we'd had the tallest players in the wall on the right (looking at the goal) so the shortest were nearest to Kasper.

How many times has Kasper saved us and consistently performed since signing for us?

I'm sorry but some football fans seem to forget that loyalty is a two way thing. Any idiot can show up when all is well and sing and shout. The guy made a mistake, do we boo him? Drop him? Smash his confidence to bit and then question him when he leaves at the first offer?

Back your players, you might just get pleasantly surprised.

Im not interested in criticising Schmeichel but to call a basic positioning bóllock a mistake.............................

its not the critic thats wrong, its repetative posts that love crucifying the unfortunate player of the moment.

The standard reply of how many times this and how many times that about Kasper is getting old now..

If he had moved as fast to try and save the free kick as he did afterwards chasing up the pitch after the ref, he might have saved it! Seriously though it was a good free kick, he's a good goalkeeper but he won't save them all! If he had been messing up week in week out, then yes drop him but he hasn't.

So our Premiership Honeymoon is over it seems and last seasons heroes now being singled out by posters on here who blame them for any mistakes they make.

Not me, I'm just enjoying the Premiership ride, it's a bonus I never thought we'd achieve.

So drink beer, kiss women and enjoy it while it lasts

tbf he was also at fault for at least one of the Palace goals that he punched over the crossbar to concede the corner which could've easily been caught.

You would also have to question if Kasper would've made the same lowdown stop Hamer made against Stoke, as he tends to do the star jump.

I like KS, but think everybody should be replaceable pending their form

I fvcking hate that thing he does, why does he do it, and how many times has he actually stopped us from conceding with it?

Posted

Quite a few times actually

No doubt it worked against opponents of a lower level, whether it works against  more composed Premier league opposition is open for debate

Posted

Really hope Hamer get's a few games now, for no other reason than so a few of you can see how bad he actually is in comparison.....

The grass aint always greener.

It just seems abit ineffective at times, when a simple brave stop could do more.

Goalkeeping 101 tells you to make yourself as big as possible not lie down in front of them and hope they kick it into your stomach.

Championship forwards hardly lack composure, there isn't world between them.

And Knightly played in the championship last season, does that make him a lower level player?

Are you sure about that ? Back peddling and you want him to catch it one handed under his cross bar? not even pat Jennings would have the gall to do that!
