Ashley Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 Will the Helicopter be landing today with the match ball?
Matt Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 They normally put something on the website telling people about it and informing people to get there early. I know our OS is shit and very slow on updates but the fact i've seen nothing written about it makes me think it's not happening. The OS has put an article up about the players playing in shirts with Poppys on, you would expect the Helicopter would have been mention in the article if it was happening.
Leicester Lass Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 I'm pretty sure it is, my brother in law is in the RAF and he said yesterday one of his friends is flying it in.
VLC86 Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 I heard the Virgin space mission test flight is delivering the ball today.... I will get my coat.
Leicester_Numan Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 Yes! Edit: "@OfficialFOXES: Make sure you're in your seats by 2.45pm today, otherwise you'll miss the matchball being delivered by helicopter! http://t.co/sjy9TgQPdo"
Matt Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 And.....they finally make an announcement on facebook, it's happening; Leicester City Football Club 1 min · Make sure you're in your seats by 2.45pm today, otherwise you'll miss the matchball being delivered by helicopter! It's all part of today's Remembrance activities. Check out last season's spectacular arrival below...
Unabomber Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 Hope they show it on the screens in the concourse so I don't have to rush my beer.
ScouseFox Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 cool i always enjoy seeing the helicopter fly away as i'm walking down raw dykes road
AKCJ Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 I always dread Remembrance fixtures purely because you always get a handful of idiots who think it's funny to shout and sing stuff. Please, please respect the occasion.
red5 Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 Why are we doing it? Remembrance Sunday is next week, shouldn't it be at Southampton?
purpleronnie Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 Why are we doing it? Remembrance Sunday is next week, shouldn't it be at Southampton? You answered your own question.
MPH Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 Why are we doing it? Remembrance Sunday is next week, shouldn't it be at Southampton? Because we don't have a home game next week?
willie-bell-in-rothley Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 Its once a year that we can stand and show our respect together.
pleatout Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 I really hate to be a kill joy but every year all I think is - who has passed the risk assessment for this? Run it by me again - a helicopter landing 30 yards away from 30,000 people in a enclosed bowl on a windy day. What could possibly go wrong? http://blog.metarreader.com/video-helicopter-clips-ground-rotor-blade-kills-spectator/
