Nalis Posted 6 November 2014 Posted 6 November 2014 Hard to beat No 1. No 2 is a joke. http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/29942768 Always had a soft spot for Chicago Bulls as a kid growing up in the 90s.
Finnegan Posted 6 November 2014 Posted 6 November 2014 I'm sorry but that's just stupid. That united side shouldn't even be in that company, as good as it was in its own way.
Nalis Posted 6 November 2014 Author Posted 6 November 2014 You are right, particularly as its too football dominated, just thought it would stir a bit of open debate.
Bayfox Posted 6 November 2014 Posted 6 November 2014 from that list. barca in their pomp. in relation to the other posts. that utd side was good, but so lucky and the bulls did dominate, but a huge chunk of that owed to jordan and pippen being in the same team at the same time.
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 6 November 2014 Posted 6 November 2014 Gotta be the 1976 Tampa Bay Buccaneers, man was that Steve Spurriers arm something else.
Jordan Posted 7 November 2014 Posted 7 November 2014 The Harlem Globe Trotters. Never lost a match. They have lost games!
leicsmac Posted 7 November 2014 Posted 7 November 2014 Ridiculous amount of football bias there, though I guess it's always the case with public polls on the Beeb sport site. As other people have said, 90's Bulls are a good shout. Possibly the WI cricket team of the early/mid 80's or the Aussie team of the late 90's/early 2000's would be a decent shout too.
kingcarr21 Posted 7 November 2014 Posted 7 November 2014 Arsenals invisibles werent bad. Really? ive never seen them
Bobby Hundreds Posted 7 November 2014 Posted 7 November 2014 West Indies cricket team of the late 70s/80s.
MC Prussian Posted 7 November 2014 Posted 7 November 2014 The 1996-2000 New York Yankees would probably also make that list.
Freesolo Posted 7 November 2014 Posted 7 November 2014 The 1996-2000 New York Yankees would probably also make that list. I would have agree but Baseball will always be tarnished with the use of steroid i the late 90s and early 2000s
ADK Posted 7 November 2014 Posted 7 November 2014 I've not really been around long enough to judge many teams and don't watch that big a range of sports. In my opinion the Barca team of recent times at their peak are the best football team I've seen by a mile. Not sure if it's quite what people would consider a "team" but Ferrari were pretty strong when they had the likes of Todt,Brawn,Byrne and Schumacher.
bovril Posted 7 November 2014 Posted 7 November 2014 mid to late 70s Steelers. early 90s AC Milan 80s West Indies 94 Bulgaria WC squad
MC Prussian Posted 7 November 2014 Posted 7 November 2014 mid to late 70s Steelers. early 90s AC Milan 80s West Indies 94 Bulgaria WC squad Stoichkov, Balakov, Kostadinov, Letchkov, ... Those were the days.
Grandad. Posted 7 November 2014 Posted 7 November 2014 Australia cricket team through the 90s.. United's treble side
bovril Posted 7 November 2014 Posted 7 November 2014 Stoichkov, Balakov, Kostadinov, Letchkov, ... Those were the days. Great team and a right bunch of scruffy buggers. The game when they knocked France out of the qualifiers is still one of my favourite football moments.
bovril Posted 7 November 2014 Posted 7 November 2014 United's treble side In UK football they have to be considered one of the best ever, if not the best, purely based on that achievement.
Grandad. Posted 7 November 2014 Posted 7 November 2014 In UK football they have to be considered one of the best ever, if not the best, purely based on that achievement. Really? Interesting.
Fox92 Posted 7 November 2014 Posted 7 November 2014 Would love to have seen Netherlands' 1974 World Cup team. Players like Neeskens, Cruyff and Van Basten. Out of the teams I've seen in my lifetime though, it would be Arsenal. From the late 90's to 2005, they were brilliant. I mean, I went to the Madrid and Barcelona friendlies but the Arsenal sides were brilliant. Vieira, Petit, Bergkamp, Henry, Adams etc they were good footballers.
Bobby Hundreds Posted 7 November 2014 Posted 7 November 2014 Really? Interesting. What is the point if it's not winning trophies?
Grandad. Posted 7 November 2014 Posted 7 November 2014 What is the point if it's not winning trophies? Just wouldn't have them as one of the greatest sporting sides let alone the best British football side.
