We're doing ok, not convinced about Cambiasso in a two in midfield, think he'd benefit from a couple of runners around him. Leo did really well for the goal, poor goal to concede though, it's there for the taking.

We've done ok, pressed well and not gave them much time on the ball.

Not good enough on the ball but I think we're going to have to accept that from now on.

Liverpool are poor, they look like your bog standard lower half team.

Mahrez has looked alright.

Schlupp has looked like he is trying too hard. That volley smh.

Cambiasso has been all over the pitch.

I think we've played OK. Lpool looked more composed to begin with but then I think they ran out of ideas until we scored.

Much better possession stats than I would've thought 46/54.  You can really tell the sharpness and quality of the players in the prem.  We are getting closed down too quickly, they are cutting out too many of our simple passes.

De laet has been very solid. Once people get on someone's back they immediately slate them whatever. Little help from his winger defensively but has kept sterling relatively quiet. We need to sharpen our passing up front. Cambiasso showing his quality towards the end of the half and looked better than any of Liverpools players. Will take a draw here

He also regularly makes the wrong decision in front of goal.

 

I think Schlupp should have closed Lucas Leiva down faster. He sort of jogged over to him and gave him enough time to kick it towards our goal.

Decent half. Sterling by far their most dangerous player, De Laet's done okay on him so far but I'm far from confident when he's 1v1 with him. Might need to change things later on.

 

Cambiasso's moved the ball on well every time he's got it and that's stopped us from coming under too much pressure. Fantastic ball by Mahrez just before our goal too.

Wes needs to take ownership of his clearances.  It doesn't help that we never have anyone outside the area to mop up up at least get a touch in and kill the play.

Good half of football, think we have done well but are sloppy at times the ball is bouncing all over the place. the players need to put there foot on it and slow it down too many long balls going straight back to Liverpool.

 

but we are playing against some top players so I think we have done pretty well. 2-1 to us I rekcon

Disappointing how we conceded, telegraphed lobbed ball into the box, the sort of ball that any conference or above standard team would have no issues defending and it ends up in the back of our net.

We've actually looked decent in the top two thirds of the pitch so far tonight but my god we are so shaky in defence.  Bad clearances and more than a few dodgy passes.  If only we can be a bit more composed in possession at the back.

**** it frustrating watching us of late. De Leat and Konchesy - liabilities when they start heading back toward Kaspar with slow easily read and mostly picked off passes. Mind you Schlupp, Wasa, James and Ulloa also guilty of backwards devoid of any idea bits of play and to a lesser extent even Cambiasso gets caught too! Why is it that Ulloa feels like when going backwards he has to try and dribble around 4 opponents then give it away cheaply? When he tries to go fwd he is indecisive and slow.

I cannot fathom for the life of me how or why James is our dead ball specialist - he is shite. Twice today he has failed to clear the first man and they have ran it down their end and nearly scored.

Wasyl aside we're not that bad - these lot are regularly going in late and trying to judo throw our forwards. Sterling's a better diver than tom Daley to boot.
