Lineker's Left Foot Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 Wonder who is the best footballer not playing in a European League?? Fred possibly or maybe even Frank Lampard, if wasn't on loan at Man City??
ScouseFox Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 bet there's some funky braziliano somewhere donning it tho hold on; RONALDINHO
J.Lisemore Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 Should imagine Asamoah Gyan would be up there.
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 3 December 2014 Author Posted 3 December 2014 David Villa or Kaka maybe Didn't realise that. Got to be one of them two then
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 Pato is still pretty darn tootin
Guest MattP Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 Can't remember his name but the kid at San Lorenzo. Correa I think it is, was brilliant in the Copa in the summer.

Guest MattP Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 Has he? Typical Simeone signing that, young South American who'll turn out to be brilliant.
Stevosevic Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 Been to games in Argentina - the standard was really good. I imagine more don't make it to Europe because of work permit issues as i can't imagine they would cost much?

Last time I watched the Libertadores properly was when Thiago Neves was absolutely superb throughout Fluminense's run to the final where they lost to Quito on penalties after a fantastic couple of games. Think he and Conca both missed in the shootout and both had been absurdly good, don't think it ever worked out for Neves in Europe and I know Conca went to China for a big whack but I've no idea what either are doing now.
J.Lisemore Posted 4 December 2014 Posted 4 December 2014 Thiago Neves plays for Al-Hilal these days, I know that because I'm always his side on FIFA
AndWhat? Posted 4 December 2014 Posted 4 December 2014 Thiago Neves plays for Al-Hilal these days, I know that because I'm always his side on FIFA So you're one of those twats then
MC Prussian Posted 4 December 2014 Posted 4 December 2014 I was going through the rosters the other day and it seems like all the big names have left the A-League and moved to the States. So, browse Série A in Brazil, MLS or the Saudi/Qatari league.

That was about 5 years ago wasn't it? I don't get to watch it as much anymore but still manage to see what I can on Prem Sports, last summer's was my fave for years, all the old favourites from Riquelme to Ronaldinho playing. You cant beat watching matches that have 6 goals, 4 reds and end in a 10-9 penalty shoot out. The two great Copa's are still the easiest tournaments on the eye.
David Guiza Posted 4 December 2014 Posted 4 December 2014 Used to love watching Kaka play, his performance for AC against United at Old Trafford remains one of the best individual performances I've ever seen - not sure he's particularly great now, but he's surely better than Robbie Keane. David Villa could still get into a few top end European Clubs without doubt, don't watch any South American football at all really, but just found out that a childhood hero of mine, Riquelme is only 36 and still playing. Boca legend.
Fox92 Posted 4 December 2014 Posted 4 December 2014 Yeah, Kaka was a top player. Can remember being impressed with him at a World Cup. Maybe '06.
