inckley fox Posted 7 February 2015 Posted 7 February 2015 You're right, the moment was months ago. Unfortunately the people that mattered didnt see what some of us on here have seen for quite some time now. He's just not up to it. The problem with people rationalising him staying with 'just 3 points from safety' is we're only 3 points from safety despite Pearson not because of him. Other teams just wont pull away. Pearson has shown no signs of being able to get us out of this despite the poor standard of teams around us. If we got rid now and had the new manager bounce, combined with our run in, we could get out of it. If we keep on with Nige and all of his bullshit, we will be relegated. Well, you were saying it for ages. I know you can't take any pleasure in it, but when the accusations of 'benefit of hindsight' are levelled, you'll be pretty safe. Not me, sadly. But I agree that there's still a chance, but only with the fresh outlook of a man who can motivate, who asks more of his players, who settles his side and who shows a little less 'faith' in guys who are letting us down week in, week out.
Mark_w Posted 7 February 2015 Posted 7 February 2015 Lennon Hoddle Laudrup Curbishley Jol Mancini Tigana AVB Sherwood Gullit Fvcking anyone. Cant stand this clown any longer. You ungrateful ****. It's one thing deciding you don't think he's the best option to take us forward (which as I'm sure I've pointed out before - is stupid), it's another to irrationally hate the manager who won us League One and the Championship, gave us the 5-3 over United and some of the most enjoyable moments in the clubs history. This clown is a lot ****ing better than 95% of the managers we've had and you'd be wise to remember it because once he does go we're almost certainly going to revert to our usual form of appointing genuine clowns.
Arriba Los Zorros Posted 7 February 2015 Posted 7 February 2015 His talking taking up a strikers position, albeit because his goal scoring record is so poor his been dropped deeper. We have a young 9.5 million signing on the bench getting splinters up his arse, tracked by a host of clubs across Europe - a)Do you think because Nugent put in a "shift" he should be starting in front of formerly said player b) do you not think this will start to effect Kramarics confidence Ok - its not about putting your best players in - how will Kramaric and Ulloa work together?

League One. Mark w is 100% right. Wouldn't be in PL if it wasn't for Pearson - sack him and we'll be Champ mid-table in a season (if not worse)
Raj Posted 7 February 2015 Posted 7 February 2015 Can I just remind you all that this season we have won 4 games... to reach 35 points this season (which still isnt SAFE at this point) We need to win another 6, can someone tell me where they are coming from cause I cant see it... i was clinging to abit of hope but now.........
Larry_LCFC Posted 7 February 2015 Posted 7 February 2015 http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2944027/Leicester-City-boss-Nigel-Pearson-appears-hands-throat-Crystal-Palace-midfielder-James-McArthur.html Link to video in there. It may be written off as a "joke" because Pearson was smiling, but to me it feels uncomfortable to watch. Sort of like he was smiling so people wouldn't take it seriously, when in actual fact he fully intended to try and intimidate McArthur. Bizarre behaviour. He's lost the plot.
SecretPro Posted 7 February 2015 Posted 7 February 2015 League One. Mark w is 100% right. Wouldn't be in PL if it wasn't for Pearson - sack him and we'll be Champ mid-table in a season (if not worse) True dat, But we will be mid-championship next season with Pearson as well, once all the talent has fooked off elsewhere.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 7 February 2015 Posted 7 February 2015 “Ultimately the problem for us today was that we’ve not been able to convert the chances that we created and that’s something that’s costing us quite dearly at the moment." (Pearson's Post Match Interview vs Palace) No **** Sherlock. Uh ohDon't you realise you can't actually say anything that might be deemed remotely negative about the o great one
Dan Posted 7 February 2015 Posted 7 February 2015 My faith in the bloke is at the level it was at after that Barnsley result. I'm not going to call for him to go, but he's undone a lot of last season I'm afraid. This group of players should not be bottom of this below par Premier League, losing at home to Palace & West Brom, drawing at home to a depleted Burnley, losing 80% of away games, repeating mistakes and so on. Today was everything I feared it would turn into. It's a long, long way back from here. Even if we stay up now it's going to be as much down to the shitness of others rather than how good we are.
Mark_w Posted 7 February 2015 Posted 7 February 2015 True dat, But we will be mid-championship next season with Pearson as well, once all the talent has fooked off elsewhere. Every full season Nigel Pearson has had in charge of Leicester in the Championship, he's finished top 6. He finished 5th with a starting line-up of, generally, Weale, Morrison, Hobbs, Brown, Berner, Gallagher, Wellens, King, Dyer, Howard, Fryatt. I wonder how much talent we'd have to lose to have a side like that? Bring on mid-table in the Championship under Nigel Pearson. Bottom of the Prem and it's bye bye rationality.
Robin JD Popley Posted 7 February 2015 Posted 7 February 2015 Uh oh Don't you realise you can't actually say anything that might be deemed remotely negative about the o great one My bad Bob... Forgot it was heresy mate.

Face it Mark he is Championship standard. You can manage a team as well as you like in the Championship & League 1, but when it comes to the big time many have tried and failed. Pearson looks out of his depth, and has done for the majority of the season. Mackay, Adkins, Di Canio, Irvine, McDermott have all done well at lower level, but when it comes to the Prem they have looked out of there depth, Pearson is slowly joining that list. Finally quite frankly I couldn't give a shit if we beat Man Utd 5-3, Cardiff beat Man City last season and look where they are now.

Guest Cujek Posted 7 February 2015 Posted 7 February 2015 True dat, But we will be mid-championship next season with Pearson as well, once all the talent has fooked off elsewhere. None of them are exactly covering themselves in glory, realisticly who will leave? Kramaric is a given, Mahrez, most likely, Cambiasso probably, unless the teams going up are desperate I cant see us being raidaid for anyone else.
ousefox Posted 7 February 2015 Posted 7 February 2015 The Pearson thing was nothing. Only after the player said something did it get a little heated.

Cardiff where they are because they sacked Mackay.
Guest Col city fan Posted 7 February 2015 Posted 7 February 2015 I'm shocked! Mark w is defending Nigel!!

Dan Posted 7 February 2015 Posted 7 February 2015 Eh, not his fault today - we created enough chances to win 5 matches in the first half, and should have equalised straight away: but we keep wasting chances, like we're afraid of scoring. It's ridiculous, but the buck stops with the players infront of goal, not with Nigel - the set up was right, and if anyone could shoot straight we'd be walking away comfortable winners and out the relegation zone. The problem is the forwards, not the manager. Despite the fact we had someone who has scored for fun not actually starting, who we've paid nearly eight figures for. There is only so much Pearson can do, but what he can do he's been doing wrong. If today was an isolated game, you'd draw a line under it - but how many times do we have to narrowly lose at home to shit like ****ing West Brom under Irvine, Palace missing Jedinak/Bolasie, draw at home to crap like Sunderland & Burnley (who had at least four key players missing), lose to shit like QPR, Villa and Newcastle away from home before people stop putting it solely down to luck? I do think there's been a hell of a lot of misfortune with us this season, but when you're spending that much on a striker to keep you up (I think that's a fair assumption) and then you're not even starting him then you're digging your own grave I'm afraid. I would love nothing more for him to turn this around, but come on, this is abject. We are better than this. We've absolutely shot a fantastic chance to elevate ourselves to being a comfortable Premier League side. We've got the money, we had the positive feeling, we had the fans on side and most of all, we were better than a lot of the rubbish around us. I have no idea what's happened to us and Pearson but it's more than just luck.
cuddly ken Posted 7 February 2015 Posted 7 February 2015 I said at the end of last season when you were all still singing "SkyScraper" that at NP hadn't got the tactical ability and man management skills for the Premiership. If we are to have any chance of staying up NP needs to go ASAP. Skyscraper? Scraping the bottom of barrel more like!
tickler28 Posted 7 February 2015 Posted 7 February 2015 I'm shocked! Mark w is defending Nigel!! Mark W will ALWAYS support him. Pearson could murder someone and Mark W would still visit him in prison
Arriba Los Zorros Posted 7 February 2015 Posted 7 February 2015 Are you even a supporter or just have a crush on Nigel Pearson...bet you have posters of him in your bedroom I reckon he just appreciates that Pearson has saved our club from going the same way as Coventry really. But yeah, you're pretty funny

Finally quite frankly I couldn't give a shit if we beat Man Utd 5-3, Cardiff beat Man City last season and look where they are now. Cardiff sacked Mackay (who we now know is an absolute knob and completely deserved it) reverted to the managerial merry-go-round, predictably ****ed up and are now shite. Obviously keeping Mackay wasn't a realistic option, but if he hadn't been a shitty human being and had stayed (whether they'd gone down or not) for this season I think they'd be much better off. In fact what Cardiff have done is basically what I am warning against. Pearson has a great record in the Championship, I think it'd be wise to give him the opportunity to earn himself a second chance in the Premier League. I'm shocked! Mark w is defending Nigel!! Cattermole, JET, Sven's shit. I HAVE AN OPINION. And like you, I want to share it. If you don't want to listen, there's an ignore list for a reason. But don't expect me to stop defending the best manager we've had in my lifetime just because you don't like it. You can point out that I'm defending him every three seconds if you like, but just in case you want to stop wasting your time, it won't influence me one jot because I don't give a shit what you think. Mark W will ALWAYS support him. Pearson could murder someone and Mark W would still visit him in prison Depends who he kills really.
Finn Claw II Posted 7 February 2015 Posted 7 February 2015 Buying and selling kramaric is actually pretty clever in terms of FFP - shifts a load of income from one year to the next. Gives us plenty to rebuild the team with. The players had the chances and didn't take them. NP can't teach them all how to put chances away, the players are equally as at fault as Pearson. Everything smacks of Championship
tickler28 Posted 7 February 2015 Posted 7 February 2015 I reckon he just appreciates that Pearson has saved our club from going the same way as Coventry really. But yeah, you're pretty funny Never stopped Tottenham ditching Redknapp, Reading getting rid of McDermott, Southampton sacking Adkins or QPR getting shot of Warnock...the list goes on....were not interested anymore in the PAST were talking about the here and now. For the record I would have sacked him back in November and you can never be certain about these things but I think we would have had more points at this moment in time with Pulis in charge
