adamlcfcbevo85 Posted 7 February 2015 Posted 7 February 2015 Seriously I can't believe the denial some of the fans on this forum , yea we needed to change our manager months ago , yet fans were like there's still time , instead of looking at the bigger picture , 2 months later were no better off , NP is losing the plot get him out now try a new manager might shake things up and the favourites won't get picked every match day , today has been the tipping point for me ive just had enough , he's had all summer and a month in January to strethen in key areas yea we got one or two , but when clearly we needed more and our scouting team has been so reliable in the past im baffled he has still kept his job Rant over
The Doctor Posted 7 February 2015 Posted 7 February 2015 You can apply that same logic as an excuse for every sub-standard manager in history. True, but sub-standard managers usually show incompetence across the board, nullifying their own side with stupid selections (see holloways midfield of defenders and strikers at Blackpool the season we went down). With Pearson the selections are what people have been calling for, the system is creating chances but the players are ****ing up in front of both goals. It's nigel's fault for picking those players. I trust you understand that concept because it's not really difficult to grasp. And which players should he pick then? Every single player bar Upson has been good and bad in patches this season, there's no obvious weak link, there's just 20+ seriously inconsistent players who can be the one bit of positive one match and the weak link the next. on your logic why have a manager at all... To pick the team, to deal with transfers, to make changes as the match goes on, to train the side.... You're a bit of a moron if you think the manager is only there for match days. well pardew isnt doing a bad job with the same squad 5 wins from 6, so i'm not sure why people blame the players Because it's the players who are giving away matches with baffling decisions.
Manwell Pablo Posted 7 February 2015 Posted 7 February 2015 Good point.... oh no wait a minute we would potentially miss his 2 goal tally for the season That's not really the point. The point is Kramaric is a goal scorer, why would we nulify that by dropping him deeper into Nugents position. And slate Nugent if you want but he was one of three or four that looked good enough today, dire finishing aside.

Personal abuse says more about you than it does about me son... any manager of any going concern will tell you ..the buck stops here... I suppose Tesco's were wrong when all the gaffers were got rid of then.. should of been the counter staff instead.
inckley fox Posted 7 February 2015 Posted 7 February 2015 Behave. In fact, don't bother. Just log out and don't come back. We totally outplayed them in the first half. How you can say he got the starting 11 is just ****ing barmy. We're bottom and we just lost our third league game on the trot. Shortly after going on another abysmal run in November and December. I'm not sure how deep the sand goes, but some of you keep burrowing deeper and deeper.
NewquayFox Posted 7 February 2015 Posted 7 February 2015 Keep Pearson, we will do well with him in the Championship next season, relegated with a whimper today folks...... ;0(
inckley fox Posted 7 February 2015 Posted 7 February 2015 I find the opinion he should be taking Nugents position as somewhat odd, he's a goalscorer. Not someone we wont pissing around playing deep. I thought he was meant to be a number 10, no? Unless all those Croatians were lying to us. Either way, what a disaster it would be to have a goalscorer ahead of Nugent with his one goal from open play, one penalty, and one assist despite being our 6th most played player this season.
lee7 Posted 7 February 2015 Posted 7 February 2015 I don't know where they are coming from. I go home and away, I know how bad we are. I'm just making a point. It's not over. It could be though by the time these next 4 games are out of the way. Some of our fans are expecting us to lose the next 4 then suddenly have a change in form/fortune and start beating the likes of Sunderland and QPR etc! We have just took no points from stoke and palace AT HOME let alone trying to win away against teams also scrapping for premier league survival. We've waited for 10 years to be where we are now and it seems we are going down without really putting up a fight!
cityfanlee23 Posted 7 February 2015 Posted 7 February 2015 It's frustrating that in what looks one of the easiest premier league campaigns to survive (based on points we are looking at 30-35 points to survive) we are still bottom, And we are hugely fortunate to go month after month without a win to be hopelessly adrift, This "only 3 points from safety" crap has really patched over what has been a disastrous season in the premier league, and we look certain to go down.. It's depressing enough when your own manager says that we have "Exhausted our margin for error" by early February, then a week later still lose... Something needs to change NOW. Pay compensation and get a decent manager in. I'd take a chance on Laudrup please.
I blame Wellens Posted 7 February 2015 Posted 7 February 2015 Keep Pearson, we will do well with him in the Championship next season, relegated with a whimper today folks...... ;0(?

We've just seen Hull City, who are shite and have had some recent poor results, get a point at Manchester City.

With Pearson the selections are what people have been calling for, the system is creating chances but the players are ****ing up in front of both goals. I don't think people have been calling for Konchesky, or demanding that Albrighton and Kramaric be left on the bench, or calling for Drinkwater and King in the last game. Either way, he spent 9m in January and not a penny of it was among the ten out-field players today. And which players should he pick then? Every single player bar Upson has been good and bad in patches this season, there's no obvious weak link, there's just 20+ seriously inconsistent players who can be the one bit of positive one match and the weak link the next. Well, like, not Konchesky, King, Drinkwater, Vardy... To pick the team, to deal with transfers, to make changes as the match goes on, to train the side.... You're a bit of a moron if you think the manager is only there for match days. Either he misspent 9m on trying to keep us up or got the line-up wrong today. His training of set pieces, one of those few measures we have of coaching, is awful. We conceded another goal from one today and actually looked dangerous for the first time in ages after Mahrez has spent 3 weeks being coached by someone else on how to take a free kick or corner. Because it's the players who are giving away matches with baffling decisions. That old defence again. Like I said, managers take responsibility for results. He bought nearly all of the players, spent 30m assembling that squad over 3 years. If we blame players ahead of managers, even when the manager makes obviously weird decisions and repeatedly loses, then we can never blame a manager for anything, ever. He does have a point. No he doesn't, it's a staggeringly weak point.

LCCFox96 Posted 7 February 2015 Posted 7 February 2015 What is baffling, is that we all knew that most of our backline would not make the step up. It was fvcking obvious that our defence wasn't good enough. We see them on a weekly basis and Pearson sees them everyday, which is even more worrying. This. It is my main criticism of Pearson this season. The lack of defensive reinforcements who have not sat on the treatment table since arriving is criminal. A left back was needed, we all knew that. A centre back was needed, lets hope Robert Huth delivers the goods here. Still time but its not been good enough all season so I have my doubts.
kingfox Posted 7 February 2015 Posted 7 February 2015 When the going gets tough his tactics are shit, no plan A, no plan B, no plan C. It's lump the ball up & hope for the best tactics, people didn't want Pulis in charge well quite frankly Pearson is turning into him with this hoof ball rubbish. Not having it, we are better than this, he is better than this yet it looks like he is losing the plot most weeks.

cityfanlee23 Posted 7 February 2015 Posted 7 February 2015 I'd take martin jol to be honest, Has a good record with youth players bringing them through, knows the game inside out, And since his sacking has proved what a miracle he was working with fulham even keeping them competitive....
johnny the fox Posted 7 February 2015 Posted 7 February 2015 This. It is my main criticism of Pearson this season. I have always backed nigel... but I refuse to live in denial.. we have had more time, money and resources than both burnley and QPR yet are still below them in the table ..we have regressed not progressed ...that is a undeniable fact surely..
cityfanlee23 Posted 7 February 2015 Posted 7 February 2015 fvck off you idiot. Won't even lower myself.
inckley fox Posted 7 February 2015 Posted 7 February 2015 fvck off you idiot. I didn't see anything idiotic there, the only omission was that it's our third league defeat on the trot, and comes on the back of another huge winless run. If it takes more than that to tell you that your manager isn't up to it (like, say, getting relegated first) then you'll deserve what you get.
