Why all the positivity?

Were 11 games without a win now, got beat again by a team that barely got out of second gear, and were supposed to be happy?

They didn't need to do anymore than they did today, and should we have scored, you may have seen more intensity.

Am I the only one worried that they came here pedestrian and slow and still walked away with a reasonably comfortable 3 points?

What's the point in being negative, it isn't going to change anything and is more than likely going to have an impact on your everyday life if you're constantly moaning, and moping about!

They have world class players in every position and our set up didn't really give them an opportunity to get going, the positives are that we limited them to little, the difference being they had that extra bit of class.

This. Nothing to lose this way.

The positivity is because the side played much better overall. Again, most people applauded them off at the end and even if we lost by a narrow margin, we're not far away. We just need to keep the performance level up. Yes it's 11 games and no-one's happy but I think most right-minded people will see that Pearson has the backing of the players and the board and that everyone's putting in a shift to get a result. One result will change everything. Look at our friends at Burnley who took 9 games or whatever to get a win. It's turned their season and the same will happen for us.

For me no point being negative about losing to man city, when promoted these are the games we expected to lose, and hoped for more.

When we have been being beat by teams expected to be our relegation rivals, week after week is when I believe we have the right to be negative.

If anybody uses the phrase 'didn't get out of second gear' again, I'd like to take that gear-stick and shove it where the sun don't shine...

lol

Do one.

If you actually saw that and thought it was anything but positive then I don't want you near the club.

It's irritating me as well. People seem to love to use these buzzwords or cliched sentences. Doing my head in...

Why put ourselves down I bet a lot of man city fans are pissed they did not batter us.

All about perspective not a bad result grow up op we are not the big fish now.

It's very hard to be positive after this run but I saw a lot more in today's game that fills me with confidence for the future than the last few games. I just think it's absolutely typical that we lost narrowly. Everything's going against us since that Man Utd win.

Fvck that win that day the more we harp on the harder it is.

This was city the champions not a 7th placed side.

They did not turn us over we will fight back we are better than our league position.

If the fans would accept that and look forward praps the players would.

My glass is half full and no not for Pearson (not that I want him out)

But I do think most of this squad will get us out of this shite.

Back em or fvck off.

Not ment at you Dan.

starting value 150m, champions of england! i bet they could turn of the teams in this league without getting out of first gear.

QPR gave them a proper test. And made them work for the win.

We barely tested them, barring a few vardy runs, they were comfortable and just strolled through the game.

This comment is just ridiculous, We kept possession better today than we have done this season. Make no mistake they were trying because if they weren't we would have won on todays performance.

They tried to noble Mahrez because he was causing them so many problems. Likewise Vardy when we should have got a penalty.

We are getting better and closing the gap every Week.

Might get it right by the time we are down.

Yes we kept the ball better, because we had 3 in midfield, natural isn't it?

Mahrez caused problems as he always does, and in the first half they didn't deal with vardy's pace anywhere near as easily as most of the last 10 teams have..

Every reason to be positive.

The players are giving everything theyve got and are doing everything requested of them. If we do go down, no one could look back and say we did give everything we had.

It was an encouraging performance. We looked organised, resolute, compact when we needed to be. In fact arguably up until the goal, we were shading the match. Mangala made a superb last ditch tackle on Vardy and our general play was good.

Yes Man City perhaps werent at their best, perhaps they were a bit leggy. But that was much better today and surely this is the way to go forward for the rest of the season, build on solid formation foundations and hopefully in January add some more quality going forwards.
