Guest kristianity77 Posted 26 December 2014 Posted 26 December 2014 Exhilarating - so proud of the boys after an emphatic 6-0 victory over an in form Spurs side today. I was a bit worried when Morgan nearly slipped to gift a ridiculous goal inside the first minute, and Hamer nearly embarrassed himself on the near post for what would have been a pathetic goal to concede in the second half, but the defense held on well. A perfect hattrick from Ulloa - a towering header from a Mahrez cross in the first half which it would have been impossible to miss, lovely flick for the second and then a belter of a penalty after a stone-wall foul on Vardy - that must be the most blatant penalty I've ever seen, I'm glad the referee wasn't foolish enough to miss that. And for him to give the second penalty to Vardy was a great gesture - and credit again to the ref, who had the bottle to give a second minutes after the first. Can't be grabbing handfuls of shirt like that in the box, clear penalty. Mahrez's free kick - a beauty. When was the last time we scored a direct free kick of such quality? Icing on the cake for me was Morgan tapping into an empty net towards the end - again, it's not like it would be possible to miss, but good to see the big man on the scoresheet. Onwards and upwards for the Foxes, who continue to mount their charge for the Europa League. Reports the North Korea Gazette!
Webbo Posted 26 December 2014 Posted 26 December 2014 You telling me Utd or Chelsea wouldn't have got at least one of those penalty decisions, not excuses a game we could and should have won, gave them 2 goals and came up against a top class keeper the better team lost. First bit hard to say, second line I agree.
Guest Col city fan Posted 26 December 2014 Posted 26 December 2014 Doesn't matter if it would have been given - as webbo said, there's no guarantee of scoring the penalty. It should have been a penalty, and we should have won, but we didn'tHallelujah! The time of miracles is here..you've posted something with which I agree.
justfoxes Posted 26 December 2014 Posted 26 December 2014 one of the most stupid posts on here for a long time......not unlucky??? get a grip man....I agree we made bad mistakes at both ends and lack quality....but not unlucky??? get a life Agree totally we've played some awesome football with not an ounce of luck or is it just we desperately need a proven goal scorer if Chicago fox wants to be so negative about us he can go support the Chicago Bears and keep his negative comments to himself !!
DennisNedry Posted 26 December 2014 Posted 26 December 2014 We were bloody fantastic today from 30 minutes in till the final whistle. We were absolutely robbed, how we didn't win the game let alone draw is beyond me. I feel like crying.

But we're all entitled to our opinions. Happy Holidays!
Leicester_Loyal Posted 26 December 2014 Posted 26 December 2014 We're going down, we just can't score the chances we create and let in the easiest of chances. Schlupp was brilliant today.
yorkie1999 Posted 26 December 2014 Posted 26 December 2014 We had one chance to win that game at that was bringing vardy on at 1-1. At 2-1 all they had to do was sit back and play for the win or at worst a draw.

Arriba Los Zorros Posted 26 December 2014 Posted 26 December 2014 If we play like we did today for the rest of the season we will not stay up. We were not unlucky this time. Thanks, that's really useful to everyone who is gutted, having watched a team low and confidence give their all and come away with nothing again. You're completely wrong on both counts and being utterly negative because you're upset like the rest of us (or just a troll)
sycokilla Posted 26 December 2014 Posted 26 December 2014 having watched all but 2 games this season I have to say we need to bolster the defense. The midfield and attacking players mostly look like mid level premiership players with enough potential to improve but in defence only Was has been consistent enough this season.......it would be hard to sign really good players in Jan as we are looking like we are going to be relegated..;so loaning in 3-4 class defensive players could just about see us scrape premier survival.....we deserved the victory today......

It should have been a penalty, and we should have won, but we didn't Well it would have mattered as it would have also resulted in a red card, we lost we know that some may think we deserved to lose some may think we didn't. Think we were the better side and got punished for 2 mistakes but end of day we lost.
ScottieDawg Posted 26 December 2014 Posted 26 December 2014 Watched the game on Thai TV, nigel Pearson sat in his hole just about the whole time bundled up in the corner. Looked cold, miserable and clearly not wanting to be there. Anyone else see it? Mauricio Pochettino was on the side line edging his guys on encouraging them, making his presence known. Can nige at least attempt to show some enthusiasm? I don't care now, however you want to look at the game, it was not a case of luck or "we played well!!!" it's once again, we walked away with nothing. Nige either needs to spend big, try to get get players in our sinking ship and take a chance at staying up, or move aside for someone else. Also needs to get on the ground and stop going into he stands/sitting in a corner hiding from the rain because it clear doesnt provide a tactical advantage. Also, can we get rid of konchesky?

AyewJoking Posted 26 December 2014 Posted 26 December 2014 Keep the effort and morale, couple of shrewd signings in Jan and we can at least put up a fight. At least theres plenty of alcohol in the house.

Interesting...I'd get in a DM..every top side has a DM. But then I'd look at the attacking side of the team. I'd be seeking out a quality playmaker and a top striker. Those three would be my main priority. I think the defence would have held today. We should have taken our chances.

Nige sat where he always does , totally expressionless as always. Pochettino's face never smiled either and I never saw him getting excited urging his team on. There are a lot of things you can complain about Pearson for but the fact he sits in the stand is not one of them.
old koppite Posted 26 December 2014 Posted 26 December 2014 But I noticed he left his perch before the final whistle- maybe 1 or2 minutes left. Perhaps knows any luck he was praying for has gone. We deserved to win that game easily- sorry but management team just tainted now with doom........
