We lost today because we were not good enough in either penalty area. No doubt there will be a plethora of excuses trolled out by some - cheating, time-wasting, bad luck - but that is all BS!

Sorry matey but don't know what you were watching really poor first 20 min then we picked up well then second half we were superb just missing the final finish !!

Neil Swarbrick what the **** is wrong with you, how did you miss two clear pens? why did you book Vards for a 50/50 ball?

better game today, Knoch needs replacing and individual errors cost us dear again,

We can get out of this, keep the faith.

Is making constant defensive mistakes and missing sitter after sitter poor luck though or is it just that we aren't good enough?

Yes, it is that we just aren't good enough.

We make defensive errors, we miss too many chances, we don't score enough from the midfield either.

Pearson takes credit, from me, for getting these players to give their all. They are clearly trying. Where we've gone wrong is in our summer recruitment, which was not as good as it might have been. Cambiasso included.

I still believe we can survive though it will be a huge miracle but it so vital Pearson brings in the right players and for the owners not to be afraid to spent big.

The second goal was  a keeper's mistake from a set piece, I think it was their only shot on target all half. You can blame that on the team.

Let's not pretend Spurs just decided that they were going to score that minute because they were fed up of drawing, that makes no sense.

No need for excuses, we gave them two goals and missed sitters, ref had a shocking game, care to explain how you think we shouldn't have had a penalty and them a red card?

It's quality..end of

No lack of passion, commitment, work rate. We are a good Championship side, but a poor Premiership side.

That's maybe the fault of the owners, or Nigel, or Terry..take your pick. We didn't spend enough in the summer and are living to regret it.

The usual suspects will blame individual errors etc etc.. We make as many errors at the attacking end, as we do at the defensive end. Why? I'm afraid we are just not quite good enough.

At least the midfield was more mobile and energetic today. That's an improvement.

I agree Col quality is the issue but as I have posted so many times why wouldn't the management collectively have expected us to have had the quality to at least survive this season. The last team to destroy the championship Reading finished eighth in the Prem the following season. The plan must have been not to change the squad initially but to gradually add quality, hindsight is always a wonderful thing but this is now going to be almost impossible to fix for survival.

So sad about today,  I'm close to tears as I don;t think we could play much better, and still lost :( I'm proud though that the boys put in a display like that despite confidence being through the floor.  THAT SPIRIT PEARSON HAS CREATED IS WHY HE SHOULD NOT BE SACKED

WHO will want to come here???

We're not good enough - we need to take our chances, come the end of the year we can't put a whole season down to 'bad luck'

Sometimes those decisions go for you some times they don't. It's not guaranteed that we would have scored the penalty. We can't keep making excuses.

first pen the ref indicated he played the ball which he did before taking out vardy with his other leg... i doubt vardy will get another penalty this season as he now has a reputation for diving.....   second he was pulling shirts but hid it well from the ref... that's the quality of cheating in the premier league... as well as lloris milking an innocuous shoulder barge to waste a few minutes.... its one of the reasons i stopped going to football ...

If we play that well for the rest of the season we will stay up. Unlucky this time.

If we play like we did today for the rest of the season we will not stay up. We were not unlucky this time.

Exhilarating - so proud of the boys after an emphatic 6-0 victory over an in form Spurs side today.

I was a bit worried when Morgan nearly slipped to gift a ridiculous goal inside the first minute, and Hamer nearly embarrassed himself on the near post for what would have been a pathetic goal to concede in the second half, but the defense held on well.

A perfect hattrick from Ulloa - a towering header from a Mahrez cross in the first half which it would have been impossible to miss, lovely flick for the second and then a belter of a penalty after a stone-wall foul on Vardy - that must be the most blatant penalty I've ever seen, I'm glad the referee wasn't foolish enough to miss that.

And for him to give the second penalty to Vardy was a great gesture - and credit again to the ref, who had the bottle to give a second minutes after the first. Can't be grabbing handfuls of shirt like that in the box, clear penalty.

Mahrez's free kick - a beauty. When was the last time we scored a direct free kick of such quality?

Icing on the cake for me was Morgan tapping into an empty net towards the end - again, it's not like it would be possible to miss, but good to see the big man on the scoresheet.

Onwards and upwards for the Foxes, who continue to mount their charge for the Europa League.

First time this season I've felt gutted after a game. Probably because after that it just feels like whatever we do it just isn't going to happen for us with Pearson in charge. There is a sense of inevitability about things if we carry on as we are without trying something, anything different from what we are doing now. God I didn't think I cared this much anymore.

We are not privy to anything that went on, but my theory is they expected us to be competitive enough to have a look at the squad til Jan then strengthen... they did not expect to be cast adrift as they are and now in no position to attract any decent (non-mercenary) talent either players or managers...

You telling me Utd or Chelsea wouldn't have got at least one of those penalty decisions, not excuses a game we could and should have won, gave them 2 goals and came up against a top class keeper the better team lost.

one of the most stupid posts on here for a long time......not unlucky??? get a grip man....I agree we made bad mistakes at both ends and lack quality....but not unlucky??? get a life

Doesn't matter if it would have been given - as webbo said, there's no guarantee of scoring the penalty. It should have been a penalty, and we should have won, but we didn't
