Yeah we went but unfortunately the place wasn't busy at all so they didn't do it. Even BCM square didn't have any wet t-shirt contests whilst we were there.

Budget? where do you fancy? Off on a Celebrity cruise in 4 weeks cant wait. Flying to Paris going on train to Milan then onto Venice, weeks cruise taking in Kotor,Athens,Santorini,Katakolon then back to Venice for a train to Munich for a few days and then home.

Booking a holiday with the missus as I type this. 

 

We've narrowed down the search to Syracuse Sicily, Dubrovnik and Malta. Syracuse might be the first to get ruled out as, after internal travel costs, may end up being the most expensive / highest effort.

 

Anybody got recent experience with Malta and Dubrovnik and how did you find it for general costs? Getting around, eating, drinking, etc?

Malta is very nice Finn. Get a hire car and you can travel around the island to the beaches as it's not that big.

Yeah I've been to Malta before but it was when I was younger and the parents were paying. Interested in the price of eating, drinking, etc, compared to similar places.

Last time I was Dubrovnik (early 00's) there was a cafe 'Adolf' with photos of the Fuhrer adorning the walls.

Syracusa is much nicer imo. I can't imagine it's much more expensive, Croatia has rocketed in price recently.
