Fez of Mahrez Posted 29 November 2015 Posted 29 November 2015 The second striker position is such an opportunity for us in January. We've got to be wary of changing things when we're doing well and risking getting the balance wrong but it seems like we have a defensive option, we have a targetman option and they could both have a place on the bench. I know there aren't many top players available in the mid-season window but I'd love to see us go for it if our scouts have identified someone. Perhaps Milik if reports are to be believed.
Jimmy Posted 29 November 2015 Posted 29 November 2015 could be Tom Lawrence if he carry's on his form at Blackburn
Nick Posted 29 November 2015 Posted 29 November 2015 Bored of your posts imblue. You're all about the hate. You've made your point, to some extent most people agree. Now you just appear to be on a witch hunt. You'll end up being banned again soon and you'll be in here spouting you don't deserve it. Leonardo was as poor as Okazaki yesterday - neither had good touches especially and yeah we may want to be thinking about entering the transfer market in the future but your comments are so disproportionate and inflammatory it's starting to look like a neurotic obsessive campaign of hate.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 29 November 2015 Posted 29 November 2015 More like Shinji Crockazaki am i rite
Master Fox Posted 29 November 2015 Posted 29 November 2015 Leo's miss was totally unforgivable imo. Kram would've stuck it away with ease.
Jimmy Posted 29 November 2015 Posted 29 November 2015 Leo's miss was totally unforgivable imo. Kram would've stuck it away with ease. which 1, the one where he cut back and put it straight at de Gea or the 1 where he swung a lazy left leg and missed about 15 yards high and wide?
Dan Posted 29 November 2015 Posted 29 November 2015 We still didn't look like conceding and looked more likely to score. Does that answer your question? Despite scoring with him on the pitch and not scoring with him off it. Even despite that it's a nonsense statement and completely untrue.
Clever Fox Posted 29 November 2015 Posted 29 November 2015 It's easy to criticise Shingy because he's not pretty to the footballing eye. He doesn't score he doesn't lay on goal chances. He just seems to run around looking busy but achieving very little. I honestly believe he's in the team to satisfy the King Power brand in Asia. I know we could either groom or buy someone with more to offer for that role.
The_77 Posted 29 November 2015 Posted 29 November 2015 Leo's miss was totally unforgivable imo. Kram would've stuck it away with ease. Kramaric at the top of the box! Tries to chip the keeper but De Gea lets it fall right into his hands...

I know we could either groom or buy someone with more to offer for that role. Sad state of affairs if true. I'm not so sure the owners would risk success for shirt sales, would they? Although with the saturation of"I love Mahrez" replies on facebook to anything Leicester related compared to Shinji posts proves that the Asians aren't taking as much notice as those in the Middle East.
Bettsj2 Posted 29 November 2015 Posted 29 November 2015 It's easy to criticise Shingy because he's not pretty to the footballing eye. I thinks its more to do with him not playing very well. Quite a bit of 'he's being asked to play a certain role' excuses being rolled out again, but does that excuse the fact that when he gets the ball, he looks like he's doing the footballing equivalent of hyperventilating? He didnt make a positive contribution yesterday at all, regardless of what role he was asked to play.
Countryfox Posted 29 November 2015 Posted 29 November 2015 I honestly believe he's in the team to satisfy the King Power brand in Asia. Just a nothing player. He didnt make a positive contribution yesterday at all What a load of bollox.

foxfanazer Posted 29 November 2015 Posted 29 November 2015 We got about 4mill for Nugent. My bad. Totally forgot about that
cityfanlee23 Posted 29 November 2015 Posted 29 November 2015 Because it restricts their ability to have time on the ball and make a better decision to pick a more incisive pass. If you have a player (i.e. in this case Okazaki) on your heels or closing you down, it means you have to give the ball away quicker and if I remember correctly Man Utd were very sloppy in their passing in the first half. You say 'when have we ever cared'? It's one of the reasons we are successful - players across the park (not just Okazaki) high-pressing and committing defenders in to mistakes or rushed passes. It's an aspect of Vardy's game and to a lesser extent, Okazaki's. Their tenacity is what helps us regain possession. You only have to look at the possession stats to see we don't mind teams having time on the ball.
StanSP Posted 29 November 2015 Posted 29 November 2015 You only have to look at the possession stats to see we don't mind teams having time on the ball. yeah but in certain areas. they can have as much as they want in their own half.
cityfanlee23 Posted 29 November 2015 Posted 29 November 2015 People want to argue and argue and argue a case for him but they don't seem to realise they are constantly arguing the case for shinji on the most silly little arguments. "United had time to pass the ball more when he went off" They had the majority of possession throughout the game, and the majority of opposition we play are the same, time on the ball does not concern us that much, we are a counter attacking team!! He is the weak link in this squad and we need to look for a better alternative in january/summer, We need a decent number 10 to break up play in that area and feed the strikers, Shinji is NOT VERY GOOD AT IT, Yesterday he was terrible, and he's been bang average or below in the majority of his appearances bar running around a bit and winning the odd ball here and there, He's not consistent and we need someone to replace him and let him keep coming off the bench when teams are tired. As a starter he absolutely does not deserve it's clear the majority would rather see ulloa on. WE NEED TO IMPROVE THAT POSITION. Simple.
cityfanlee23 Posted 29 November 2015 Posted 29 November 2015 yeah but in certain areas. they can have as much as they want in their own half. We soaked up pressure for the majority of matches all season, I'm not talking about just yesterday, I'm sure the commentators said yesterday that Leicester have the 2nd or 3rd lowest possession in the league. This argument that Shinji does an amazing job there is pretty poor, We are a counter attacking team, the whole idea of our philosophy is to let teams attack us and get into our half, so we can hit them on the break.

cityfanlee23 Posted 29 November 2015 Posted 29 November 2015 Fair enough Lee, but in the meantime .... We can't do much but play Okazaki or Ulloa. Personally I prefer Leo but hey ho.
MooseBreath Posted 29 November 2015 Posted 29 November 2015 We usually have about 40%-45% possession. After Okazaki went off yesterday we struggled to get 20%. Being a 'counter attacking side' doesn't mean you can let teams annihilate you. Let's be honest if Man Utd had any sort of attack they'd have turned that possession into a win easily.
Countryfox Posted 29 November 2015 Posted 29 November 2015 We can't do much but play Okazaki or Ulloa. Personally I prefer Leo but hey ho. I agree again Lee but see them as a double act .... one may be better suited to who we are playing than the other, or, bring one on when the other is tiring or to shake things up/tighten defence. More often than not though the one coming on second will look better for that game as he has fresher legs ... as was the case yesterday. Also and specifically yesterday CR brought on 3 players who added height to the team (R DeL, Jeff and Leo) .... another couple of corners for them and they may have got the winner.
Clever Fox Posted 29 November 2015 Posted 29 November 2015 We can't do much but play Okazaki or Ulloa. Personally I prefer Leo but hey ho. I don't agree, we have other options. For instance Dyer a very tidy player who can play wide, but can also ply in the middle. Has pace and can also score. So why not give him a run on the left. Albrighton could be tried further forward and bring in Schlupp behind him or visa versa. Kingy could even get a chance plaing from midfield. Even bring Inler into midfield and move Drinky into that area. There's also other options.

We have averaged 44% this season, 3rd worst in the league, only 0.7% more than sunderland, Time on the ball clearly does not concern our team much, I do agree with what you're saying, obviously they had more of the ball in more dangerous positions when Okazaki came off, but I don't think thats a point worth having him on, In the short term we only have ulloa, I think he's a better all round player but thats debateable. we still need someone else in january who can do the job better than both, because at times it's a clear weakness.
Bettsj2 Posted 29 November 2015 Posted 29 November 2015 What a load of bollox. Oh sorry my mistake. He contributed defensively at corners.
