FA CUP 4th round draw - Burnley/Spurs away

It's not bitterness, we've nothing to be bitter about. You're shit, we're shit.

But if I was a Burnley supporter (or even player) his constant trumpeting about the value of his opposition versus his own resources would annoy me, personally.

It doesn't promote the club, it basically says his squad are rejects and he can't afford better. The only person it promotes is Sean Dyche.

I can just imagine Dyche sat with his calculator going through BBC transfers and adding up every team's value for his post-match talk.

Stupid ****

I'm going to go on Football Manager as Burnley. Buy the most expensive players I can and take them down to the Conference.

Relegation and a League Cup each season might just keep me from getting sacked.

We're just trying to do things the right way for the football club, and not the way that (most) idiotic fans demand of their clubs. Most fans (sadly, and I'm not pointing fingers here) would celebrate their club getting into mountains of debt, so long as it involved buying star names, and paying obscene wages. They then complain when they are threatened with administration - Portsmouth, Leeds etc. It shouldn't have been allowed to happen Leicester have been no different to that in that past, in that they've had a bail out, and (if it's true) you've had to write off another mountain of debt this past year. I'm not saying it's the case now(?), but you've had a couple of attempts at being extremely poorly run in the not too distant past.

Leicester's losses 2011/12/13 - £15m, £29m, £34m....(-£78m). Not sure what 2014 are yet as you don't tend to release them until Feb/March. Has that been written off now?

Wages were also up to £27m in 2013, so despite low spend on players fees, salaries were obviously higher than most other Championship clubs. I think that's where initial comments came from in that, despite a lack of transfer fees, you're still on a different financial planet to us. What's wrong with speaking the truth? The trouble seems to be that Pearson took it personal, rather than looking at the bigger picture I think??? < Those are question marks in case someone misses them.

^ If you have owners that are willing to bank roll you, and wipe this away, then that's fine I suppose.

We're a different club in that respect, and if there are debts they are usually small/serviceable(we were panicking over losing £8m to 2013), and can be a managed by selling a player or two. This good business practice obviously handcuffs a manager to an extent, but they know what they're getting with us before they sign.

Anyway, onto WHL and the replay...which we could have done without.

Heard it all before; very little fans can do about decisions millionaires make and own their club. So there's no point treading it out.

Dyche is a broken record who his self promoting his own career above Burnley's success.

So would everyone, but then again it's not his fault Burnley aren't at the head of the market, they're barely able to compete in this market, they can't go out and spend £10m on a Croat because they fancy it, that market is completely foreign to them, it is, after all, a very, very tough market to compete in.

No-one's said they are, it's just become tedious how much he goes on about it. Everyone gets the point.

Read a good point regarding this draw yesterday - Leicester will play five games this month, Spurs, should they get through, will play nine.

This has to be viewed as an opportunity of progression. Considering they have the semi finals of the League Cup I can see them putting that over the FA Cup. We could well be playing a weakened Spurs, or Burnley who, whilst a good, punching above their weight side, are beatable.

Well our crowd was more than most up our way expected to be honest. Most were guessing 6-7,000. In fact, Spurs ticket sales were extremely poor until they put all of the free coaches on.

Monday night game - all other teams (bar the TV game) played at the weekend when a much bigger crowd would have been on. First day back at work after Xmas holidays; fans from further afield, some who have been 'home' for Xmas have just gone back. Ridiculous decision to have the game on that day, and a decision that both Burnley fans and Spurs fans campaigned against.

Prices - despite the ridiculous decision over the match day, we still insisted on setting prices at £20(£10 kids); I believe yours were from £2 - £13? Ours should have been £10 based on the above.

Travel - on a weekday in Burnley, as you'd expect, there are no late trains back to....anywhere! The last trains leave at 8.30 (half time).

Poor decisions all round from Burnley, and also Spurs for agreeing to it.

A last couple of comments: I note you(generally) still have a lot of bitterness towards Dyche for some reason? He's only telling people how it is, and it's been refreshing for our fans after hearing lie after lie from Coyle a few years ago. You need to let it go, and not get emotionally involved in management tit-for-tat. That's the action of sheep, and I thought you called Derby fans that?

We didn't really want Leicester in the cup either, if we happen to get through, so both fans feel it's a poor draw. The PL takes priority so I'd be playing a reserve side down at Spurs if I was our manager.

To be honest I think Dyche needs to let it go, are you seriously not bored of it after every game? We're all fully aware he assembled his squad trading peanuts and winning players in card games etc but we don't need reminding every 5 minutes.

the only thing i have against dyche is his constant references to the size of his budget, much like the rest of our fans. i also follow Morecambe and their manager is much the same, reminds everyone how little the crowds and budget is instead of getting on with the job at hand. annoys the fucck out of me. people would have a lot more respect for dyche if he wasnt getting his excuses in every week

All of the free coaches? There were 3 free coaches, so they must have been bloody big coaches to get 2500 fans in.

Wank draw. Hopefully Spurs more likely for tv at least

Or Not. Got no chance of going so I was hoping we might get on. Liverpool and Arsenal are on yet again for no obvious reason. There's much more exciting fixtures than those two to put on.

Liverpool v Bolton is an obscenely poor pick. Unimaginably unimaginative.

Nobody is complaining that their coaches were free(I hope ours are for the replay!), I was just stating a bit of factual information. I should have expected that sort of response for doing so though, as you do have previous for overreacting. ;-D

See the "shit draw" brigade are at it again. Would love to know what a "good draw" is for these people?

A more winnable game against a non Premier League team.
