FA CUP 4th round draw - Burnley/Spurs away

An extra game for Burnley won't help their premiership survival bid either, which is good news for us.

True, true.

Burnley manager Sean Dyche: "It was a game of very few chances. They made seven changes and had a team only £130m worth. It was a lacklustre game, with little atmosphere. We did everything to try and get a result."

The ****er's at it again

I can just imagine Dyche sat with his calculator going through BBC transfers and adding up every team's value for his post-match talk.

Stupid ****

I'd have so much more admiration for Dyche and the job he's doing if he wasn't so ****ing tedious.

So would everyone, but then again it's not his fault Burnley aren't at the head of the market, they're barely able to compete in this market, they can't go out and spend £10m on a Croat because they fancy it, that market is completely foreign to them, it is, after all, a very, very tough market to compete in.

Its such a self reputation boost everytime dyche is interviewed. Reminds me of the way Holloway was for Blackpool, but even be wasn't anywhere near this bad.

They'll eventually go down and he will get a Prem job or a big championship job and flop because he has the same little club mentality as Holloway.

Bet they both have small cocks too.

Bet Dyches looks like a shrivelled prawn in a Ziggy stardust wig

Burnley would be crap as we'd probably beat them but it would be frustrating as there are no points at stake.

Spurs will no doubt field a weakened side against us and our weakened side will be about as good as our strongest side so we will win and progress to the next round.

Can't complain really, no chance of a morale damaging upset, a good chance of winning the game Spurs were average at our place and will be looking to rotate. If we lose no big deal can concentrate on the league.

it would also provide an adequate test for our youth/fringe players/new signings if any need fitness or testing at this level is needed.

Worst thing would have been a lower league team that could cause an upset, or a draw which is a high possibility with this draw.

Agree with this.  A lot of posters were negative about the third round draw against Newcastle, I saw it as a 'no lose' fixture where if we were beaten by another Premier League side it wouldn't have the effect on morale that a loss to a lower league side would bring.  Spurs look favourite for the next round now and we'll start second favourite although based on the recent match against them I think we've got a reasonable chance.

Dyche is a dick with a chip on his shoulder. 'meh meh meh no money meh meh look at all these big spenders, meh'.

Join a club with some prospects and some cash then c*nt.

I like the draw. Beating PL teams is great for confidence for our relegation battle. We'll beat either team as I'm on a 2 day bender in Germany whilst the tie takes place and if I rightly recall I was away when we beat Spurs in the cup last time and Burnley last season.

Dont know why folk are crying about this draw -reckon its a cracker for the players...an away day to a prem team...better than some crap at home.

not sure why everyone seems to think it'll be on tele?

cambridge/united, brighton/arsenal, rochdale/stoke, chelsea/mill (if it happens) and then something shit like liverpool/bolton or city/boro would probably all be above spurs' reserves limping over the line vs us.

See the "shit draw" brigade are at it again. Would love to know what a "good draw" is for these people?

It'd be Cambridge away on a Monday night so they could call themselves better than anyone else when they and another 1000 go Cos they are better supporters¡¡¡

We'll never get a universally approved draw. Some will want Man United/ Liverpool away, some at home, a lower league club away, a local derby, a lower team at home.

Spurs away wouldn't be too bad, it should be a full house and a big away allocation. I can't see Burnley fans being too bothered about us however.

Based on last nights attendance of less than 10,000 (over a 1/4 being Spurs fans) Burnley fans arent bothered about the cup at all

Well our crowd was more than most up our way expected to be honest. Most were guessing 6-7,000. In fact, Spurs ticket sales were extremely poor until they put all of the free coaches on.

Monday night game - all other teams (bar the TV game) played at the weekend when a much bigger crowd would have been on. First day back at work after Xmas holidays; fans from further afield, some who have been 'home' for Xmas have just gone back. Ridiculous decision to have the game on that day, and a decision that both Burnley fans and Spurs fans campaigned against.

Prices - despite the ridiculous decision over the match day, we still insisted on setting prices at £20(£10 kids); I believe yours were from £2 - £13? Ours should have been £10 based on the above.

Travel - on a weekday in Burnley, as you'd expect, there are no late trains back to....anywhere! The last trains leave at 8.30 (half time).

Poor decisions all round from Burnley, and also Spurs for agreeing to it.

A last couple of comments: I note you(generally) still have a lot of bitterness towards Dyche for some reason? He's only telling people how it is, and it's been refreshing for our fans after hearing lie after lie from Coyle a few years ago. You need to let it go, and not get emotionally involved in management tit-for-tat. That's the action of sheep, and I thought you called Derby fans that?

We didn't really want Leicester in the cup either, if we happen to get through, so both fans feel it's a poor draw. The PL takes priority so I'd be playing a reserve side down at Spurs if I was our manager.

It's not bitterness, we've nothing to be bitter about. You're shit, we're shit.

But if I was a Burnley supporter (or even player) his constant trumpeting about the value of his opposition versus his own resources would annoy me, personally.

It doesn't promote the club, it basically says his squad are rejects and he can't afford better. The only person it promotes is Sean Dyche.
