Bob Weasel Fox Posted 7 January 2015 Posted 7 January 2015 Eddie Howe, has done an incredible job with BournemouthGood call
MC Prussian Posted 7 January 2015 Posted 7 January 2015 Aitor Karanka Mark Warburton and Micky Adams, for his achievements with us under difficult financial circumstances.
Stadt Posted 7 January 2015 Posted 7 January 2015 Warburton is a good shout, jacked in his job as a banker to become a youth coach at Watford.
purpleronnie Posted 7 January 2015 Posted 7 January 2015 I always though Kenny Jacket never gets much credit, 3 promotions with 3 different clubs in 7 seasons is pretty good.
1993fox Posted 7 January 2015 Posted 7 January 2015 Steve Bruce. Not a great manager per se but he's dead honest. Doesnt delude himself when he sees a bad performance.
Corky Posted 7 January 2015 Posted 7 January 2015 I like McClaren, not a bitter man about the past, went away to rebuild his career and get some success and is doing a fine job at what was becoming a mid-table second division club. Has won big trophies and reached European finals with unfashionable clubs.
Stadt Posted 7 January 2015 Posted 7 January 2015 McClaren went abroad as well, not enough British managers do.
Leicesterpool Posted 7 January 2015 Posted 7 January 2015 The late great Brian Clough for me, not many managers have been able to win the top division with two different clubs. Martin O'Neill another one did a great job at both Leicester and the villa.
SystonFox Posted 7 January 2015 Posted 7 January 2015 Sir Bobby Robson Martin O Neill Nigel Pearson That's yer lot. Fvck off Holloway, Pulis and Dyche.
SemperEadem Posted 7 January 2015 Posted 7 January 2015 MON Pearson Mark Hughes Chris Hughton Gary Rowett Realise they are not all English.
ADK Posted 7 January 2015 Posted 7 January 2015 If we're simply talking managers involved in the English game then Wenger. Wenger probably transformed the EPL into the strongest league in club football.
Freesolo Posted 7 January 2015 Posted 7 January 2015 Agree that you have to respect Wenger for what he has done at Arsenal and in the EPL in general.Dario Gradi for his ability to spot young players get them for nothing and sell them for a huge profit at CreweMartin O'neil for his achievements at Leicester and Celtic, also Big Nige altough he has a way to go to get on MON status IMO
foxfanazer Posted 8 January 2015 Posted 8 January 2015 Nigel Pearson- Done so much for this club and I love his no nonsense approach. Eddie Howe- Has done an amazing job at Bournemouth so far and looks like he could get them to the prem. Hope he turns out to be a top manager. Mick Mccarthy- Say what you want about him but he's a proper geezer Not as much of a media whore as 'Ollie' but comes out with some cracking one liners
Lovejoy Posted 8 January 2015 Posted 8 January 2015 Paul Tisdale has been the Exeter City manager since 2006. Given modern football and the limitations of such a club, I think he's a solid mention.
Banks Posted 8 January 2015 Posted 8 January 2015 Ian holloway Neil warlock Both say it how it is must be some kind of joke.
Fiume Posted 8 January 2015 Posted 8 January 2015 Don't know how you guys in England see him, but I really like Alan Pardew. Although he is a whack job, I still remember his Manager of the Year winning season from 3 years ago, and his job at West Ham when he promoted them, and finished 9th next season in the Premier League. I think they treated him quite harsh this season at Newcastle. Yes, he did had a slow start, but also completely turned their fortune around with that 5 game winning streak. I think he'll do a pretty decent job at Palace for the rest of the season. But of course if it comes down to you or Palace for staying in the league I hope he fails

Comes across as really arrogant and aggressive. Needs to take a leaf out of Pearson's book
