Paddy's and Little Club are my top 2 comfortably. My third would probs be Indian Queen, but that would not be to everyone's taste so maybe Broadway.

It's just got a lot more expensive (it used to be unreal value), partly from Covid and partly for profit. It's still better value than most places in the UK. You need to go in a decent group (min of 4 people) and order lots of stuff to share. If you order the salt and pepper fish, lamb chops, chicken lollipop, a few large curries, auntie's special chips and crispy aubergine, there's a very good chance you'll love it (there's lot of other good dishes too). It's not to everyone's taste, I've taken mates there who like to have their own standard curry with a rice, and it's not the place for that. It's always a good atmosphere in there and the service is good. It's been run by the same family for like 30 years and they run a good ship. None of this separate bar/restaurant faf.

Quite a niche thing to be allergic to 🤣 sure it wasn’t just undercooked?

Went to the Grey Goose In Gilmorton on Saturday - decent, albeit service was a bit hit and miss. Portions are still huge which makes a change these days. 7.5/10.

Went for lunch today, service was hit and miss last time we visited but was excellent today. Along with the food.

Will try and get it in next year! Little bit of a treck for me as I'm in Barrow

What are your thoughts on the three crowns? For me it's one of the better options in Charnwood

Yeah I think it’s decent, but prefer Gurkha New Delhi in Sorrel

I’ll have to check the place on Sorrel out as Three Crowns has become my go to

Gridle & Smoke at Ibstock, newish place i think and from what i read its won awards. Met my son there today for Sunday lunch and wow. The food was 10/10, had the pork belly with crackling and probably the best pork ive ever tasted.

Prices were decent enough. Would certainly recommend.

Bulls Head in East Leake might take the Deano crown for me. Those Turkey teeth can't wait to get stuck into the hanging kebabs!

The most Deano of places, as is the one in Repton, especially if you're in the Garden Room.

Can't move in the car park for S Line Audis and M Sport BMWs.

In saying that, I have enjoyed the food the couple of times I've been, and they have Pilsner Urquell on tap which makes everything else OK.
